  1. Motherfucker. Just started up my second career, a norwegian boxer on a rampage in the light heavyweight division. And naturally...my PS3 dies. Well at least the laser. Can't read discs anymore and it's only two months old. And the store of course couldn't just give me a new one, they instead have to send it to their repair people and I should get it back / get a new one in about three weeks. Oh the joy.
  2. I guess one too many random trips to Pride and tune-up fights meant that I was never a contender. Was ranked #3 in the division towards the end and considered a Legend, but it wasn't meant to be. Plus I ducked a few fights here and there that looked too difficult...
  3. Career over. Never got a UFC title fight but won the Pride GP one year and got quite a few fight awards. Ended 43-5 and 85 overall for my brave brazilian featherweight warrior Santiago Morales. The best fight by far was a war against Eric Koch where both men got rocked multiple times. Another good one was against Chad Mendes where I figured I had no chance but managed to grind out a 29-28 decision. Good times. Guess I'll be focusing on my light heavyweight norwegian boxer next.
  4. Like others, I find myself losing time and again and mostly to submissions. My guy is a featherweight, I think he's 28-3 now having lost to Leonard Garcia, random bastard Tariq Robinson and George Roop. I've faced both Garcia and Tariq three times, and managed to win both 'feuds' 2-1. The Garcia matches have been really fun and hard-fought, but when he caught me with a guillotine in the second fight after having been dominated for a round and a half, I was furious. So in the rubber match, I managed to sink in a guillotine of my own...but he didn't tap. Knocked him out shortly after instead. And the Roop fight was a joke. I hit him a few times, nearly had him rocked. He took me down, triangle, boom over in less than a minute. Yeah, the UFC is quite different from the WFA. My guy's at 82 overall right now and I'm worried about his future.
  5. Enjoy my video please. OK? OK. This game is a lot more challenging than the previous ones and I'm loving it.
  6. Any sub system would probably be better than last years random crap. And I'm enjoying the demo, like people say Pride feels a lot different from the UFC matches in a very good way and overall the AI seems better and much more challenging.
  7. Think I managed to upload a CAW now on PS3. His name is Dirty Grandpa. His gimmick is that he's old and disgusting. Be sure to try him out!
  8. As someone mentioned, about wrestlers and their overall stats. If I drastically lower someone like Cena to 65 overall, and do the opposite with someone like Ziggler to give him 95 overall... Will Universe acknowledge this and make Ziggler one of the main guys while removing Cena from the main event picture?
  9. I played as Shawn Michaels during the first Rumble match, and I believe I entered at number 11 or 12. Lasted til the end when that bastard HHH eliminated me. During the course of the match, I'd been hit with several people's finishers and could barely walk by the end. I was hoping for a miracle but HHH got me. I'd imagine it would happen that way in real life too.
  10. What I did was clear all rivals and (most) allies before starting Universe. I kept Raw, and made Smackdown the WCW show. Some random occurances so far, mostly with heels attacking heels for no apparent reason and CM Punk turning heel and HHH turning face in the first few weeks. The main event scene on Raw is pretty confusing with Lesnar as champion, HHH and Punk having turned, and Cena and Orton in there as well trying to make a name for themselves. Over on WCW I'm doing my best with my Vader push. So far, it's not going as planned. But the Royal Rumble is coming up, old school logo and all, so it'll be fun to see how the AI sees the event. And if I agree.
  11. Bought it, got it, bought Fan Axxess, I'm all set. It's enjoyable, I even made a CAW already. His name is...Frenchman Goldman. Because it like rhymes. And he's pretty unsure about his sexuality I think. Trying to find good enough sliders now, still a bit on the easy side (mostly because I read about so many people thinking it's really hard, so I started off at an nice and easy pace and will go from there).
  12. So...lets go United then.

  13. If we beat Spurs today I'll season my hat with chili and then proceed to eat it. Go confidence!

  14. Here's a strange bump for you to feast your eyes on. (I'd prefer it if you looked at me also) Geo-Policital Simulator 2, aka Rulers of Nations can now be found in "stores" near you. I figured I'd share this piece of information since so many of us never had a chance to play the first one since all the "stores" had misplaced their activation codes.
  15. I'd just really like to have sex with her.
  16. I have 09, and before getting it I read all about guessing the pitch when hitting and whatnot, and when I tried it out for myself it drove me nuts. So now I stay away from any type of guessing and just look at the pitch and the ball and decide whether or not to take a swing. I don't even mess around with the analog sticks, I just hit away when the pitch is looking favorable. And seeing as how it's giving me a whole hell of a lot more hits, I'm sticking with it.
  17. Do you see what you get when you mess with the WARRIOR?!

  18. So what are your tactics against the cpu opponents on the demo? For me on expert, it looks like this: against Machida: Push forward constantly, don't let Machida dictate the pace and keep moving away. Accept the fact that you'll probably get taken down once or twice, but just try to get out and keep pressing forward. against Rampage: Sway, sway, SWAY! Highly effective against Rampage since he basically just stands and brawls. Watch out for the clinch though, can be a bit tricky. Pretty successful when taking him down too. against Shogun: Avoid his damn submissions! When standing up and striking, he's not all that impressive, but when he starts clinching and shooting, you're in for a tough ride. And there's really no point in taking him down either since he reverses everything. He's a beast. against Rashad: He's like Shogun light, and pretty easy to beat if you mix your Rampage strategy with your Shogun strategy. Sway away and try a takedown or two since Rashad isn't at all as good on the ground as Shogun.
  19. And I now discovered that the one I found looks nothing like the PW I remember playing, so take it for what it is.
  20. Actually, I did find 1.2. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5N8UUHXE There you go.
  21. I only found 1.3, but I guess you're too good for that version. Plus it looked nothing like 1.2.
