  1. Depending on where you're coming in from, I always support hitting up Dalessandro's for the best cheese steak in Philly.
  2. Don't eat the chicken fingers there! Worst case of food poisoning I've ever had was from Xfinity Live.
  3. The fact that the Eagles almost let the Giants win that game says everything about how overrated and mediocre this team is. Eagles may walk backwards into winning the NFC East, but they will absolutely be losing their first playoff game. Mental mistakes every game, turnovers, a shit defense. They're just so poor.
  4. Bournemouth 2-1 Fulham (Tue 3pm, Prime) Sheff Utd 2-1 Luton (Tue 3pm, Prime) Man Utd 1-2 Aston Villa (Tue 8pm, Prime) Chelsea 1-0 Crystal Palace* (Wed 7.30pm) Brentford 1-1 Wolves (Wed 7.30pm, Prime) Everton 0-2 Man City (Wed 8.15pm, Prime)
  5. Dallas Cowboys vs Miami Dolphins (5) Baltimore Ravens vs San Francisco 49ers (4) Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3) Fuck! I thought I did this days ago! I've been cleaning all day since we're hosting Christmas at our house for the first time.
  6. A better referee would have sent him off well before the slip foul (I don't think he should have been sent off for that, btw. Clear slip). The dirty shove in the back on Tsimikas at the sideline was 1 of 4 yellow cards he should have had today, on top of getting a lot of fouls called for him that if it was Salah, the ref would never have given. He's definitely very, very protected by the referees in my opinion.
  7. Yeah, it's frustrating because after the first 5 minutes of Arsenal just embarrassing us, we were by far the better team. The handball call is hilariously bad, but fluffing a 5 on 1 breakaway is even worse. We should have won, but yet again, failed to take our chances. In a season where City are faltering some and the title is winnable, it's two very, very frustrating results. Also, I cannot believe how much Saka is allowed to get away with. My goodness.
  8. Create nothing in 90 minutes vs Manchester United. Let Arsenal come in and dominate you and score in the first 5 minutes. Anfield this season. Liverpool should be embarrassed with this start.
  9. Phases of play ARE relevant, as it's something that VAR has used on multiple occasions to justify a goal being allowed to stand, because a foul took place too far back and it was a new phase of play.
  10. MLS I think prides itself on its utter lack of transparency when it comes to the salary cap and how teams stay compliant with it. And I think that's going to continue to be the theme with Miami, a club that has already broken the salary cap rules. Both Suarez and Alba, by MLS rules, can each only make $1.6m a year with Miami. That's roughly $31k a week. It's been a long, long time since either made that little money for their club, and I will be shocked if that's all they're actually getting paid for real to be in Miami.
  11. West Ham 1-0 Man Utd (Sat 12.30pm, TNT) Fulham 3-1 Burnley (Sat 3pm) Nottm Forest 0-1 Bournemouth (Sat 3pm) Tottenham 2-1 Everton (Sat 3pm) Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal (Sat 5.30pm, Sky)
  12. Villa were very hard done by on the VAR call. The keeper is absolutely fouled on the corner, yes, but it has zero impact on the play and ensuing goal. Very clear new phase of play as Sheffield United try to dribble out of their own box, lose possession, and Villa score. Really don't understand how the keeper being fouled 10+ seconds previously had anything to do with the goal.
  13. It's pretty hilarious that Romano tweeted this week about my Philly Union signing out 4th or 5th ranked ST to a new contract this week. Was one of the most random "okay who paid Fab for this" tweets of all time. There's my Romano anecdote while his name is being mentioned.
  14. This is an absolute beat down by the Bills. Cook has more than twice the yards as the entire Cowboys offense. Goodness me.
  15. That was the definition of arrogance. Arrogance from the players, arrogance from the vast majority of supporters acting like we were going to blow them away. The best chances fell to United. Hardly a single player put in a good performance. That was embarrassing.
  16. Denver Broncos vs Detroit Lions (2) Chicago Bears vs Cleveland Browns (3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Green Bay Packers (1) Houston Texans vs Tennessee Titans (4) New York Giants vs New Orleans Saints (5)
  17. That's so awful for Lockyear. Twice in 6 months now, even after the surgery to help fix the afib. So happy to hear he's responsive and well. Wonder if that's the last time he gets to play the game he loves. I just hope he continues to stay healthy and well.
  18. Bournemouth 2-1 Luton (Sat 3pm) Burnley 0-1 Everton (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Arsenal 2-0 Brighton (Sun 2pm) Brentford 1-2 Aston Villa (Sun 2pm) Liverpool 4-0 Man Utd (Sun 4.30pm, Sky)
  19. What a fabulous thread!
