  1. Star Wars Battlefront: other than the usual bloodbath that is Bespin platforms where there are relatively narrow bridges galore seperating the platforms, the only memorable moment was playing the Battle of Hoth as the rebellion. I was defending the Outpost that has an ice tunnel leading to the main base against the Imperial forces. I died and respawned a short distance away as the Empire began to besiege the outpost with two scout walkers. Think a 9 meter tall mecha with skinny legs and a box-like head. There's something strangely beautiful about seeing the blaster cannons on two of those completely decimate a base, taking out the heavy guns first before firing through the outpost's open viewport to attack those holed up inside. I only wish the game had the same type of environmental damage as Red Faction does.
  2. The original Bushido Blade was awesome, and I don't even remember why I got rid of it. I was stupid, I guess. There are two franchises that I really wish would return, both of them Star Wars. The X-wing/TIE Fighter series hasn't had a release since 1999's X-wing Alliance, and it really needs another installment, considering there's a lot of time to cover. Can you imagine dogfighting Yuuzhan Vong coralskippers or Corellian freedom fighters? I certainly do! And I need another Jedi Knight game!
  3. *cheers* got the Pets expansion pack for a quarter at a garage sale, today. Great condition, too! Too bad the game plays so slow on my comp...
  4. Embarassing game... NCAA Football 08: Missouri Tigers (played by me) vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (CPU) The Huskers entered the game at #13 in the nation, their only loss being to the #1 USC Trojans. Missouri is undefeated, but stuck at the very edge of the Top 25. MU QB Chase Daniel threw 5 INTs in the game to two touchdowns. Because he was still making big gains in the passing department, I kept him in. Husker QB Sam Keller, however, was picked off eight times, and led the Huskers to their first lead in the game with 3:00 left. Daniel managed to make it down to the end zone and threw a TD pass to Jeremy Maclin. Nebraska was picked off on their next drive, allowing me to finally end the game by taking a knee. At least I ruined Keller's Heisman hopes...
  5. Not counting the country acts I saw when I was younger... Foo Fighters Red Hot Chili Peppers Jackyl (bleh. Part of a festival with...) Stone Temple Pilots Pearl Jam x2 Death Cab for Cutie Meat Puppets x2
  6. SimCity 2000: Due to the idiotic lack of fire protection on Traviss Island, the entire island section of the city has burned to the ground... Thank God I didn't save after that.
  7. There's a map on Starcraft called River Battle, I think. It's only for two players, if I remember correctly. Well, me and the guy I was teamed up against weren't all that good, so I guess that lent to the epicness of it. We both sit up our main lines of defense right in the middle of the map, on opposite sides of the river. Missile turret rows three thick lined the back and a mass of bunkers guarded the two bridges that linked our two sides. The battle was stalemated for the better part of an hour, with every assault--including nuclear on my part--being beaten away on both sides. Air assaults proved pretty invalid, despite his use of carriers at the first. It finally ended when he sent what looked to be an entire fleet of carriers, followed by a swarm of ground troops to mop up my devastated defensive line. The funny thing is, about 15 minutes before that, if I hadn't had been so cautious, I could have sent in my ground forces and totally decimated him.
  8. I hate it when other rulers don't learn their place and actually try to resist. They'll only fall in the end, don't they know that? In ROTK XI news: I beat Yuan Shu and his successor Kong Rong, and have started a war with Liu Bei who had just swallowed up the Sun clan's holdings in the south. Now, only him, Huang Zhong, and I remain. The era of the Three Kingdoms has begun!
  9. More Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI goodness... This game, I'm playing as Cao Cao in 204. I started in 193, and floundered in obscurity for a while. Today, my forces continued their advances into the north of China that they started two days ago, wiping out the pathetic remnants of the Yuan family as well as the very strong Gongsun Zan army thanks to a very poorly thought out defense strategy on their part. Part of that war included a 200,000 strong battle with Cao Cao and Zan's successor, Yue, that sadly failed to live up to the potential epic qualities that it should have had, due to the city having very few officers in it. After subduing the north and being made a Field General by Emperor Xian, I ended my alliance with the powerful Yuan Shu, and began a war with him. I attempted to lead a large siege against the 150,000 strong city of Xu Chang, but was forced to retreat in shame after being bottled up by a set of defense structures and enemy forces. Determined to build up for the next large attack, I bribed Yuan Shu with 10,000 gold to agree to a ceasefire for two years.
  10. 25 point buy, it was said. Cloudy, I think, posted the link to a place where you figure it out pain free. As for all of you that don't have the books: Here's all three core books! (well, all that can legally be distrubuted online due to the OGL.)
  11. Replaying Tactics at the moment, and it is definately harder than I remember it being... I'm beginning to hate the slums of Dorter...
  12. I'll be working on a character tonight.
  13. The basics on using OpenRPG. After DLing and installing all needed components and patching the system to the current version, start the application. Go to the top of the program when it starts and click "Browse Servers" under the Game Servers pull-down menu. If the game is in Veav I (server choice doesn't really matter, so I'll just use my favorite,), connect to that specific server. You'll then be taken into the lobby. There are then several subrooms, created by several GMs. Find the one that you're to be playing in (The GM can click "Create Room" to create it.) and then join it.
  14. Yes, it is entirely possible to multiclass and learn two different disciplines. You need to be at least second level to do so, though. Also, if your race has a favored class, there's some silly little experience penalty that I've never played with.
  15. I'm stinkin' up the court in March Madness 07 at the moment. It's so bad, I really shouldn't be talking about it...
  16. Um, you guys sure you want me to play? It now seems that any OpenRPG game that I play in is cursed... Anyway, what are you thinking of on character creation rules?
  17. My personal favorite is probably a tie between Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance. I don't really like Eberron, and thus don't have the book. Gotta go, I have a class right now.
  18. D&D is perfect for me. Time's okay, too. Iffy on Sunday, since I have a commute to class on Monday morning. Any thoughts on a campaign setting? We should probably agree on that.
  19. Do you even have GM lined up? I can't do it, as the one game I'm planning is going to take the majority of my planning. I'd really love a Dragonlance game, but I'm fairly unchoosy when it comes to the campaign settings that i play in.
  20. I want the Meat Puppets to get inducted, but I'll know that'll never happen.
