Damn, that sounds pretty bad. I think its best for me to stop playing, as i dont plan on getting a hard drive anytime soon. I'll at least make a point of finishing the story first but i wouldn't want to risk it after that. I'm not too bothered because i've had 6-7 new games in the past month that i haven't had time to play.

Nope, i've had the game about a week and half. The first day i played it, a 'Disk Read Error' message came on the screen while playing, but only lasted for bout 10/20 seconds. Nothing like that has happened since last night, when i tried the mission i mentioned earlier and it gave me the crash. I tried it again and got the same crash, so i stopped playing thinking that it was just because i'd been playing so long. I then tried it again about an hour ago and the same thing happened, yet i had been playing Pro Evo 4 all morning and that was working fine, so i doubt it would be the PS2. I'll try again soon and post if it happens again. EDIT: OK, i've done it now, managed to finish the mission without the game crashing. It must have been something to do with listening to radio during the mission or something like that, because after i finished garething the briefcases on the quad, instead of stealing a car i stole a police back and drove back to catalinas place without a crash.

I doubt theres any spoilers here but i stuck it there just incase. Anways, shes a bitch, and shes stopping me from playing the game. Everytime, on the same mission (Not in the same place though) the game randomly crashes. The radio keeps playing, but everything else freezes. It's happened about three times now. And you know what the most annoying thing is? The mission involves a long ass drive on one of the most annoying vehicles ever (Quad Bike mission.) Anyway, has this happened to anyone else?, any suggestions on what i can do to fix it. I think i'm just gonna have to keep trying the mission until i can do it without a crash.

I met Lars from Metallica last year at the Earls Court gig last year, and Rob walked past me backstage, so i'll count that as meeting him aswell. And this is a bit unbelievable, and im sure i've mentioned it before, but i actually know Phil Campbell from motorhead (Yes, know, as in know personally, it was him that got me backstage for free at metallica.) His son is one of my best mates, so i guess im just lucky i guess. I've also met the rest of motorhead obviously and been backstage with Anthrax, but didnt actually meet any of them, they just happened to be in the room while we were meeting motorhead. If you think that's impressive though, just think about how many people my m8 has met.

I think i've nearly finished this now, which is a shame. But i can just play with the gravity gun for an extra 20 hours on top of the 5 hours ive already spent messing about with it. Seriously, you can hours of fun with the gravity gun. .

Basically what they said, everything about this game is amazing! Apart from those annoying flying things with the razors, they just dont stop coming. Seriously though, i've been playing this for the last 4/5 hours, and the only reason i stopped is that i can try CS:S for a while. I suggest anyone with a PC good enough to run the game, buy it, its that good. And if you dont have a PC good enough, get one .

does the game come with steam or do you have to download it? ←

This may be a little off topic, but its best to post it here rather than start a new one just for this question. Anyway, i know some people pre-ordered this game from play.com. I thought play.com were good with pre-orders, but i must have gotten mixed up with gameplay. Anyway, i pre-ordered Half-Life 2 (still shocked at there being not a single topic about it yet) from play.com, assuming that i would get it by the release tomorrow. Firstly, i checked the status of the order on saturday, and it said it was posted. Then, today, i get an e-mail saying my order has been posted blah blah, and the date had changed from saturday to today. So, did most people here get thier FM 2005 pre-orders from play.com on the day of release? If not, when was it sent, and when was it posted? just for me to get an idea of how long i will be waiting. Thanks.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned United V Arsenal being drawn in the Carling Cup yet. I dont know why but when watching the draw, i always had a feeling it would end up United/Arsenal.

It was suppost to be 6 months after the ps2 release, so a long time, i cant be bothered to work out the month though. I'll just wait for the PC for Multi Theft Auto .
