Formula E is only in pre-season testing. First race is in January. Would be pretty cool seeing VanDoorne in the Mercedes. Lewis being out makes this upcoming race pretty amazing to look forward to. Quite curious how he picked up Covid given the really strict guildelines most of the drivers/teams have to stick to.

I disagree with the tyre wars. I don't want to go back to the days where the tyres are perfect for 100 laps, as what is the point? It's about finding balance, which was the whole point of only having one tyre manufacturer. If you go back to the old days of more than one, it's a race to see whose tyres will never degrade.

The safety of F1 cars was show in full effect there. If this was 5 years ago, Grosjean might not have survived that. The fact he could walk away is incredible.

Emily and I share a lot of music with each other, mainly because I listen to a lot of random stuff, and she mainly listens to things like Queen, and a lot of classical, all of which I enjoy. One of our barriers is metal. I love metal. I listen to a lot of metal. She completely randomly decided she likes some of Korplikaani which is so fucking bizaare. Anyway, one of the barriers coming down was her listening to Skalmold and the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra playing Kvaoning.

I think Stroll is a bit shit, but let's be honest here, that first half of the race he drove amazingly well. It all fell apart when they pitted him (and left Perez out?). I feel Racing Point has made some awful decisions this season.

I was going to come in and ask what people thought of Phantom Doctrine? I know it's similar to XCOM, and for that price it is a bargain.

Some big oofs in there. I bet the conspiracy theories have already started on that VSC. Stroll achieves nothing again and nearly kills a pit crew member to top it off. Perez was in line for a podium then an awful position has him lose it. Raikkonen drives amazingly again and this time is rewarded with a couple of points for it. It was hard watching Russell. He knew he messed up, and he was absolutely gut wrenched by it. The guy is going to be a star and I think even though mistakes like this happen, Williams will forgive him pretty quickly. Poor guy. If Perez ends up with no drive next year they should just shut F1 down.

So it's looking increasingly likely that Perez is not going to have a seat by the looks of it, unless he shows up at Hass, or gets the Red Bull seat. If he misses out because he was dumped for Vettel at Racing Point, what an utter joke that would be.

Fantastic opening few laps. Sainz was amazing and showed some great skill. Raikonnen was also incredible. Was a fun race, yet disappointing outcomes for some. Perez once again proves why he is one of the best drivers on the grid. I was a bit confused by the commentary RE: Bottas tyre choice. They said that Mercedes tyres are dictated by the lead driver, but that Bottas had put on a different set in a previous race? It really came across like they were purposely stopping Bottas from challenging Hamilton.

When Otmar Szafnauer was asked about Stroll not doing as well as Perez he let out a huge sigh. It was hilarious.

It sucks for Russell, but Williams are probably after the money the other two drivers can bring compared to talent at the moment.

My understanding is that Kimi is not retiring and has a seat next year.

Went and saw David Attenborough's new film "A Life on Our Planet" on Tuesday. It was pretty stark and upsetting to see a man nearing the end of his life who spent his entire life showcasing the vast biodiversity of our planet, emploring us to protect it, and knowing we have completely failed at it. Everyone needs to watch this film.

Imagine if Perez had the upgrades instead of Stroll.

Started watching Cobra Kai. It's corny but it's rad.

Hard to hold Bottas to account for that. It seems like the midfield didn't time it properly causing the back of the pack to think that the race had started resulting in the crash.

That sucks. Perez is my favourite driver. I hope he ends up somewhere where he can achieve great things, because he certainly has the talent to do so.

I think a solution might be to have a monetary cap on what teams can spend.

I don't know what the go was with Hamilton and the pit entry. Did his engineer just not notice? Did most of the engineers not notice because the pitlane crews were all standing in the pitlane wondering what was going on, and the other drivers saw the x's? It was very confusing regardless.
