  1. Until the playoffs. Than he'll choke at the worst possible time. Not to drag it up, but that's always been the big difference for me. Manning is a hall of fame regular season QB. No denying his numbers and even his comebacks in the regular season. He's just not a playoff guy. He had that one great drive against the Patriots and beat the imploding Ravens/Bears to get his ring and hey, more power to him. But in the end I will remember him more for his bad interceptions at crucial times when he could have lead his team to victory but didn't. Brady is pretty much the opposite of that is that he's almost never bad in the playoffs (Although he was awful last year). And Ben Roethlisberger is the Anti-Manning because he's mediocre all season than transforms into a monster in the playoffs Also, also, the Rams or whoever wins the NFC West deserves their spot. As was said, more often than not a division winner won't be 8-8 (And has never been below .500) and even if they are awful they can beat anyone any week. This season more than most shows that upsets can happen with the parity in the league right now.
  2. Bruce Gradkowski might be the best QB in that group. Scary Actually, I think Jackson still has some hope and VY has been pretty good the last two years when he isn't being emo or injured. I still think Jay Cutler is an idiot and may actually be Jeff George's illegitimate son.
  3. Manning fucked up. No need to call it 'aggressive' and the Colts 'way'. They didn't need to rush the play, he didn't need to make a fucking awful pass (And it was) and it's just another in a long line of Manning chokings. When they showed Vinitaeri on the sidelines I thought he was going to run out and punch Peyton across the mouth.
  4. Sorry DMN. On the plus side though,
  5. Yeah, the injuries make him seem like less of a bust, but he still hasn't really been stellar even when healthy.
  6. Yeah, Miami has been awful at home. I think the Bears may be the worst team to ever have the best record in their conference. There only win over a good team was Green Bay (Which is impressive) but looking over the teams they beat (And even the others they lost too) it's not a surprise they are 7-3 right now. Now watch them beat Philly, New England & the Jets to make me look stupid
  7. It's sadly probably far too late for him to get it, but Pennington getting 3 comeback player of the year awards would be hilarious. I too was always a fan. Smart guy, high completion percentage, not many turnovers and he was usually pretty good in the playoffs too.
  8. I think it's a little early to say if Stafford if fragile or not. As was said, his O-Line isn't up to snuff yet. I still think Detroit looks to at least be moving forward and Suh, Stafford & Calvin are three good guys to build around. As for the Steelers, I am somewhat disappointed with the win. They had a healthy lead and let the Bengals walk right back before finally stopping them late. It's horrible late game play like this that killed them last year, and hopefully it goes away like it has most of this season. It'd help if Troy was back to his old form too, he's been shaky the last two weeks.
  9. I can see them heading into the depleted Big 12. They are obviously very close to members there and probably should have moved there when the Big 12 was formed in the first place.
  10. If Moss goes to the Bengals I would laugh. That said he's not totally useless or anything. I'd be stunned to see him remain a Free Agent for long. He'll probably find a new home at least by next week. He had behaved himself at New England pretty well until this year and I am sure some team could use someone like him. But I agree with Be. If he goes to New England and they get a 3rd round pick for NOTHING I think I might actually cry.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=fleming/101028&sportCat=nfl Interesting and kind of scary article. JEFF GEORGE PEOPLE. PRAY FOR THE BEARS.
  12. It's just Brett being Brett. Also, yay we won, questionable call or not. I didn't really see definitive recovery for Miami or Pittsburgh personally, but a win is a win. lol @ Denver though. That was sad.
  13. Temple got booted not long ago though, no? Although if they left it would give Youngstown State a chance to get into the MAC which is long overdue.
  14. World Of Warcraft. It's like some awful RPG/Strategy based hybrid. I hate the grinding parts of RPG games to start with, and to me it seems the ENTIRE GAME IS GRINDING> Otherwise I can at least understand the appeal in games I don't like personally. But WOW I just don't 'get'.
  15. Oh I doubt he'll go in the early rounds like he could have. I just meant he'll still be drafted period. If anything he could end up a nice steal for someone in later rounds.
  16. I'm sure he's just happy to know he played to win the game.
  17. Keenum is already a redshrt senior, so he's pretty much done until the NFL draft or whatever. Will probably hurt his stock a little, but most people seem to be pretty high on him. Even for a 'system' QB.
  18. You guys need to stop watching Hard Knocks Sanchez was a rookie last year and played like one for the most part. Still he was solid in the post-season and it's hardly unreasonable to see him keep up that level of play. Not to mention he's still going to have more of a game manager role. The Jets have a great o-line and can run. Also the defense is one of (If not the) best in the NFL. The team's entire success won't just rely on Sanchez (Unless he turns the ball over like crazy). Annoying show/fans or not they certainly have a lot of pieces that great teams have. They'll still lose to the Steelers in the AFC title game though
  19. I joined the pick em' league. Interested to see how long I last.
  20. Was a great game that looked like it might even be a blowout after the first quarter. That said, Tyrod Taylor was great. He kept so many plays alive seemingly on his own, completed like 68% of his passes, didn't throw any picks and scrambled for 75 or so yards (The good kind of scrambling). He piratically carried his offense to a near victory. Very impressive display.
  21. I just don't trust Batch to buy enough time with that o-line. He's coming back from an injury and will get hammered. Either way, I am optimistic they can go at least 2-2... than win out
  22. I'm actually driving down and typing on my phone right now. I'll be in at CB. Should be a fun pick-up game DMN!
  23. So it seems Byron Leftwich has some undisclosed MCL injury which is pretty serious and pretty much hands the keys to Dennis Dixon. It sucks since Leftwich seems like a nice guy and can be solid, but with this o-line I am not surprised he was left out to dry and got clobbered. I think Dixon's mobility will help a lot and hopefully he can keep up his accuracy from his first pre-season game (The Denver one was atrocious). I am confident he can handle things though. Especially with more first team reps, another year with the playbook and another year removed from the surgeries on his knees from Oregon. Gives Charlie Batch some hope though As for Arizona am I the only one who think we could see Hall or Skelton playing for them at some point this year? I think DA's deal with the devil expired long ago and he showed me nothing in pre-season to build confidence in his abilities. Also, also, I heard Leinart was canned because players felt he was leaving them out to dry on some passes. Sucks for him, but as has been said maybe a change of scenery would help. He's kind of a douchebag but he has gotten a pretty raw deal.
