Well, except AI defense, who can't clear properly to save their digital lives. Really the most annoying "randomness" in FIFA is most prevalent in Career Mode, when you can be wide open and ready to finish a brilliant attack and OW OW OW MY FUCKING ANKLE CALL THE PHYSIO. I might try PES (or at least a demo) if there's much less of that.

I think that's in preferences somewhere, I just didn't change it.

I got the version that was available to me for Steam and I live in the US, so... yeah. Is there compatibility issues between the two I should know about for mods and such? The one Gazz linked to loaded fine.

First match back from injury for Morison and I put him straight on the pitch. Since my last match I fine-tuned my tactics a bit. Unfortunately we had a bit of a task ahead of us as Wolfsburg were favored to win. First half was a bit shaky, so I made some adjustments to make us play the counter a bit more. And after some unlucky attempts, a nice 1-2 to reverse our fortunes. I wanted to make sure we had a happy ending to this so when they shifted from 4-4-2 to 4-2-4, I answered with a 6-2-1-1. A last minute close-call brilliantly saved by Rudd clinched it for me. Not happy with the on target percentage. But I've looked at it and noted that when we're in the box we either go in the net or hit the keeper in the hands and we only miss completely when out of range. So shots from 18 yards or less from now on. I'm cautiously optimistic about my squad here. My only concern is a threadbare budget, but with this performance and my captain almost healthy again I'm comfortable with accepting a bid for one of my surplus defenders so I can afford to re-sign people.

Well I'm down to my like fourth striker and a reserves team player. And I told them not to take the match seriously (which provided morale boosts). I would try to sign some new blood but that's just not an option at the moment given my transfer budget of zero and needing my reserve players to fill in for my seven injured players.

First win in friendlies: Unacceptable yellow cards for a friendly, but the possession tells the story. I'd like to see more accuracy in shots, but Morison and Holt are injured so I'm not too worried about it long-term-wise.

So restarting as Norwich in the full version until I can find a NASL mod. Good news is, this time around I didn't listen to my assistants on Morison's role, so he hasn't become an insufferable crybaby yet. Bad news is, in two matches (the first against my own reserves), I've had four injuries on top of the pre-existing one. At least Holt's only out for a few weeks. By the way, when familiarizing your team with a tactic, is it better to have just the one or should I have three up at once?

Ah. Any chance you can link me up with a copy? And I assume I put it in same way as the one Gazz linked?

Just one more thing... is there any expansions or ways to unlock the North American Soccer League? It's pretty much the one thing I was looking for that isn't on that huge expansion.

Well, it's more that I heard you could unlock leagues that aren't already available in the full game by default with mods.

So... as I decided to get the full version, can anyone give me a step-by-step on how to unlock all the leagues in the game database? Also how does patching work with Steam, is it automatic?

So Jouzy, my best FUT squad has 68-72 in my starting 11, with my subs in the 64-69 range (My backup GK and only bronze in the squad is the 64) and 65s and 66s in my reserves.

Ah sorry I'm actually heading out, was just messing about on FUT for a bit till my lift came. Defo up for it tomorrow/later this week though if you fancy it? What team you got? I'll try and field a team that is similar in ratings (ie probably not use Gerrard and Modric). Tommorrow might work. My best squad is all silver, I'll give you ratings when I'm done with Walking Dead.

Plenty of time to inadvertently piss off all 25 of my registered players by poorly judged pep talks learn enough about this game before deciding to buy (which so far I might).

Didn't see a topic for this, but seeing as Walking Dead seems to be pretty popular on EWB (as it should be), I figured it's a good time to spread awareness of this. Like the Sam & Max games, it's a multi-parter and only Episode 1 is available now, but you can preorder the whole thing. I love their choice to do it comic book style graphically. I'm not usually a fan of cel-shading with few exceptions (Viewtiful Joe) but it's very appropriate given the original source material. Non-spoiler stuff: Lots of fun with dialogue. From what I've played so far the characters remember choices you make so it effects the story in ways that Heavy Rain (I can't help comparing the two because of the dialogue interface) just didn't. It takes place on Z-Day. The opening scene is absolutely glorious. Telltale does a very good job with giving you an "in a horror movie" feel when you encounter zombies. Spoiler stuff:

I found a good way to get slight boosts in morale is to get people involved in mentorships. Especially awesome because I happened to get a backup goalkeeper from Norway who happens to be a huge fan of Ruddy. Morison won't even hear me though. Even though I made him vice captain in an attempt to make amends with him. Tempted to just give up and make him wear a jersey that reads "Spoiled Wanker" on the back. When does the demo end by the way? September?

Yeah, the one problem I have with tele mode vs pro is tele is much harder to line up your shots in. I'd say as far as being on goal goes I'm 30% better in pro. Tele is superior by far for every other outfield role, but if you're a dedicated finishing striker, pro all day. Still can't seem to take penalties that don't either fly off or head straight forward though. Course that might be a boon in club play because they'll be expecting to have to dive for a corner... . Defending penalties is not something I'm fond of either.
