  1. They won't stop me from delivering these UNICEF pennies!

  2. But now I'm safe, in the eye of the tornado.

  3. Well, managed to get Steam to install on this computer after seven tries (wtf...) and downloaded the demo. Which seems to run fine on this netbook. Playing with Norwich City, and my assistant coaches recommend me not listing Morison as a key player. Morison then promptly throws a hissy fit. >_< Trying to figure out to suck less on team talks, the club is doing pretty well in friendlies though, 3-1-2 with only one of the losses really terrible. And also figure out how to make Morison less of a diva.
  4. So is there a not-Steam download for the demo? And likewise, a not-Steam digital (and legal) download for the full game?
  5. Ignore this, swrong game thread
  6. "Greetings, children of Earth." "Well what planet are you from?" "....Earth."

  7. I understand not "getting" the appeal, but not "seeing" the appeal in a whacky cheerleader fighting zombies game? Yeah, I don't get how people can't see it either. I mean, look at the trailer. She's knocking a zombie's head into a basketball hoop in one shot, chopping a horde of zombies into bits in another, fighting a punk rocker whose lyrics turn into killer projectiles in the next. Also factor in that, as I implied in the OP, zombies + really zany shit = proven formula for fun. Unless he didn't like Zombies Ate My Neighbors, in which case, there is no hope for him to ever enjoy anything.
  8. Well, not sure what Chris means there. The trailer doesn't appear to have been filmed in HD for some reason, but the stills I've seen look much clearer. If he does indeed mean that it looks like a cheesy hack and slash zombie game but with a cheerleader and wacky shit.... then like Benji said, yeah, that's the point. Pre-order I believe is a bonus character skin so you can play as the punk rock guy at the end... but the game itself was enough of an incentive for me to not give a fuck about that. I'm hoping for a playable demo to hit the PSN so I can whet my zombie slaying urges. Course I also have Dead Rising 2 for that, and I don't think I've finished the Arthur suit yet...
  9. So.... does Casshern Sins ever evolve past "Amnesiac who broods and punches things"?
  10. I love it when games combine my love of zombie killing with my love of things that are absolutely batshit crazy. I loved Zombies Ate My Neighbors (easily my all-time favorite SNES game), and I loved Dead Rising 2. This... this seems to have looked at the wackiness of dressing a former motorcross champion in a banana hammock and having him mow down zombies with a tricycle and said "we can top that". I've already preordered it, and I don't think I've looked forward to a game this much since The Warriors for the PS2.
  11. kicked Bound for Glory. You're next, Lockdown!

  12. I don't know about those places, but GameStop gets the same shit that you just described and I've never had those issues in any GameStop I've ever been in. They have great salespeople personalities, very knowledgable even about JRPGS and shit, and apart from being asked if I want to preorder anything (which is really no different from a restuarant mentioning the specials), never had someone try to upsell me. No shit, I've walked into a store, asked if they had a certain RPG, and before I can even finish saying the title of that game, they bring it up from behind the counter. That's fucking awesome service there. And if one store doesn't have a certain game, they'll look for nearby places that show they have it in stock for you. Some people just want to bitch for the sake of bitching, I guess.
  13. Can you name the truck with four wheel drive, smells like a steak, and seats thirty-five?

  15. Internet. Serious Parody.

  16. So as an experiment I made a secondary career mode, starting in MLS with New England and trying to get my player eventually to an nPower 1 or 2 club and try to bring them to the Premier League. Despite making him too weak to be a starter (50 OVR)... he's still in the starting eleven for our first match. I was hoping to have him as a substitute but nope, not happening. Oh well, I still have my virtual pro's career. And now I can build him up by playing him as a midfielder as I got to being a player manager (though my first act was giving myself the captain's armband I was promised last season ) Man the AI gave me so little to work with though. NO RESERVES AT ALL, and all but three of my substitutes are strikers and for some reason two GKs in the sub list and not just one. So my second act as player manager is to have better backs and midfielders.
  17. To be fair, that dude doesn't seem to give much a shit about anything except dragons. I wanted to kill the court mage in Solitude for treating me like a common mercenary though. SPEAKING OF Solitude, there's a fucking awesome Daedric mission there. Really easy and fairly short, but entertaining as hell, and with an awesome reward. My guild quintella is being continued by going to the Bard's College. Not sure if I'll go back to the Companions next or hit the who guilds much more suited to my character. On a related note, mechanics question:
  18. I just became Archmage in my game myself. My first official act was HOLY FUCK AN ANCIENT DRAGON I DO NOT HAVE THE COMBAT SKILLS FOR THIS FUCK FUCK FUCK. I basically got killed about six times before I figured out to use the entrance gate as a cover to make sure the damn thing fought the fight I wanted, which was a melee fight because one fire blast from it and I would be dead, and barely scraped through with potions.
  19. I got a couple hours to play something if Baddar Jouzy and anyone else is up for it
  20. To be fair, we only use Any because 1) Every other team uses Any so we're just leveling the play field and 2) Defender AI refuses to tackle outside the pen box without being pressed and 3) They always clear in the direction they are facing, even if that means they "clear" it for a corner >_<
  21. Yeah, every claw and other combination puzzle can be figured out fairly easily. There's an actual in-game explanation for this for those interested: Also, ran into an odd glitch recently while mucking about in the Mage College. As I was heading out of the College, an Elder Dragon flew into combat range. After chasing the bastard around as he kept switching from attacking by the college and attacking Winterhold proper, it decided to perch itself on the upper balcony over the Hall of Attainment. So I went into the Hall to fight it in the Balcony... And end up being shunted over the edge and to my death. Luckily I was able to reload to when I went inside and take another way up. By the way...
  22. Sunday should work for me if Florida's Murphy's Law-esque rainy season doesn't fuck up Saturday plans.
  23. Any Phoenixes going to be around tonight? I might be able to play a couple matches tommorrow in a more Brit-friendly time. Friday possibly too though the indy show I'm going to is not in the promotion's usual venue so I'll be looking to head off early so I can find a place to park, Saturday plans involve The Avengers, so not sure about then either. If I catch any of you on though I'll hit you up. And hopefully get the stamina boost trait too.
  24. I have to agree with Quom says. You can pretty much make any build you damn well please. You can be a thief who wears heavy armor and sneak attacks with a warhammer and still be effective if you put your skills in the right places. The main quest is really the least interesting thing in the entire game, but that's more of a testament to how awesome the rest of the game is.
  25. Lewis Blackis going to be on Jeopardy this Thursday. Even though he probably won't be his usual cheerful self, I'm looking forward to it.
