  1. Oh and congratulations to Lewis for his 50th Pole in Formula 1.
  2. Qualifying is fine. It's probably actually one of the only things that DOESN'T need to change. Leave qualy alone!
  3. LVG has to go. Something must change at some point and sacking the manager is easier than buying 15 new players. I just wish Van Gaal would get up every so often and shout at someone. Or at the very least, put his fucking clipboard down!
  4. Watching Sakho in that second half was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I'm sure he was drunk.
  5. No. Lewis needs to outscore Vettel by 9 and Rosberg by 2. So he needs to get ahead of Nico if he wants to wrap up WDC #3 today.
  6. Hazard, Matic, Fabregas, Ivanovic, Terry. All been pretty piss poor.
  7. 18. Should have got 19 but had a bit of a brain fart with the Liverpool bloke!
  8. So, the Mercedes duo qualified on the third row today, 1.5secs off the pace. Doesn't seem as though they can get the tyres to work properly. Vettel on pole with Ricciardo, Raikkonen and Kvyat also ahead of Hamilton and Rosberg. Should be fun to see if the Mercs can fight through tomorrow and maybe a Ricciardo/Vettel battle for the win.
  9. Incredible news and it's now win-win for us. Either we get £35m from Madrid next summer or we keep one the world's best goalkeepers as he enters his prime.
  10. Barca did it with Gerard Pique, IIRC.
  11. With the help of a deflection, it should be noted. Pretty poor game so far. We had a decent ten minute spell around the goal but apart from that, we've been hopeless. Rooney isn't awake yet and we've been extremely sloppy in possession. I'm going to regret saying this but Villa don't look like troubling us much.
  12. Golf is probably the most frustrating game in the world. Purely because you can play brilliantly on one hole and then be really shocking on the next. For an amateur, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. However, I love it and try to play as often as I can. To answer your questions... 1) I find it fun. It seems to divide people though. 2) First time, yeah you'll probably suck. Sorry. How quickly you improve will probably determine how angry you get. 3) Hiring clubs is a difficult thing. You need to find what is called a Par 3 or a Pitch 'n' Putt course that isn't too serious. They should let you hire out a few clubs. 4) Jumping straight in shouldn't be too bad. Just try and find a relaxed place with other families. You don't want to be going to a serious golf club where everybody has been playing every week for 30 years. Hope that helps.
  13. Is Mignolet considered a top keeper? God no. That's really not what I meant. I just like laughing at Mignolet, especially when the ball gets thrown into the box.
  14. He gets himself caught behind Koscielny and was wrong footed. No idea why the defender just stood there with his arms behind his back. Still funny though. With De Gea sitting it out for United, Lloris injured, Courtois sent off for Chelsea and Cech having this mare for Arsenal, what has happened to all the top keepers?! Still got Mignolet to come
  15. I'm not saying I'm glad Cech cocked up but I am glad that everyone has had a bit of reality check (pun not intended). Petr didn't look all that fantastic in the 13/14 season. He'll still be a good signing for Arsenal but he's not going to win them the title.
  16. Doesn't that leave them with Speroni, Hennessey and now McCarthy? That's three pretty solid keepers.
  17. The first one that's springs to mind is Andreas Pereira. Elsewhere, I'd expect to see McNair and Wilson a little more than last season while I wouldn't be surprised to see Jesse Lingard involved at some stage in the season.
  18. I like Zieler but I struggle to see when he would have played. He was around when we had Van Der Sar as #1.
  19. I loved the elephant in the room. I didn't love the fact that there wasn't a message of some sort at the end. I sort of expected something thanking Jeremy for his years of service to Top Gear.
  20. Hamilton on pole, Rosberg second. Both men went off on their final laps though. The penalty system is ridiculous. Kvyat qualifies 8th and starts 15th after taking a ten place drop. Jenson has to serve a stop-go penalty because he can't take all of his 25(!) place drop, Fernando has a drive-through for similar reasons plus a change of gearbox. Meanwhile, Ricciardo has five seconds added to his first pit-stop because like Kvyat, he had a ten place drop, but qualifying 14th meant he couldn't fully take it. So yeah, nice and simple for casual fans.
