  1. My soul hurts

    Spoiler

My PLEASE DONT DIE list.  Edd, Beric and Jorah.  Fuck you Game of Thrones, you couldn't have possibly ripped my heart out anymore.

At least I can take comfort in....

    Spoiler

    Edd died saving Sam
    Beric died to protect Arya
Theon died to complete his redemption for Bran
    Jorah died saving Daenerys
Lyanna died like a fucking badass

Most of my predictions were dead wrong because I picked with my heart and my heart lost.

  2. Spoiler

That was amazing.  Some random things that made me lost my mind:

Cap and Rumlow on the elevator AGAIN, i though there were going to redo the fight until he just said "Hail Hydra" and I lost it.

I've never heard a theatre pop as hard as they did once we heard "on your left" and the portal showed up.

I cried way more than I care to admit.  Thor and his mom, Stark and his dad and Scott and his daughter ruined me.

I'm blown away that they managed to build an entire story arc with Thanos, kill him, but then have past Thanos be the new bad guy with his army back.  It was just a fantastic way to go about the story.

Also, Loki got the Tessaract so now I guess past Loki is alive before he did his full face turn.

I like how they didn't kill off half a dozen characters, instead made us just feel for the loss of two.

Actual part of the movie that I didn't understand and could use help.

    Spoiler

During the end funeral when the camera was going from character to character.  Wanda, Bucky and Falcon were together and then it showed one younger looking guy behind them and I honestly have no idea who that was.

  3. I love The Dark Tower, The Long Walk and The Stand.  I was really enjoying Under the Dome but I felt the end went in a completely different direction than I wanted and was pretty let down.  I have IT that I will eventually read, probably after I see the 2nd movie.

  4. I think this is the full list of who is in Winterfell.

    Spoiler

Jon Snow   |   Sansa Stark   |   Arya Stark   |  Bran Stark   |   Theon Greyjoy
Daenerys Targaryen   |   Missandei   |   Jorah Mormont   |   Grey Worm   |   Tyrion Lannister
Jamie Lannister   |    Brienne of Tarth   |   Podrick Payne   |   Sandor Clegane   |   Tormund Giantsbane
Samwell Tarly   |    Gilly    |   Eddison Tollett   |   Beric Dondarrion   |   Gendry
Lord Varys   |   Davos Seaworth   |    Lyanna Mormont   |   Yohn Royce   |   Ghost

  5. Spoiler

I know this show is about to rip my heart out.  I only ask they don’t make it more painful than it has to be.

I accept some major characters are going to die, some relationships are going to get destroyed.  But for the good of my soul, don’t just kill of Dolores fucking Edd just to up the body count.

We got to see jerk ass Edd again finally, please don’t take it away from me.

  6. Season 5 is easily the worst one.  A lot of stuff takes a lot longer to get to then it needs.  It has two of the worst creative decisions in the show (killing Barristan and the Sansa rape).

It's overly political while the more interesting characters are kind of stuck with only one person for every episode.  I wouldn't say its a bad season but by far the least interesting of them all.  Except Hardhome is probably my 2nd favorite thing in the show next to the Magnificent Seven episode.

  7. Ah fuck.  Watching the episode where Jamie and Bronn go to Dorne and they talk about how they want to die.

Bronn wants to die of old age in his Keep with children.  Jamie wants to die in the arms of the woman he loves.  I bet both happen.  Jamie dies in Brienne’s arms, Bronn dies of old age in Casterly Rock.

I thought Bronn Reyne was a stupid theory hit everything is pointing to it being true.  I just still hope that at least they make it so Bronn isn’t planning all this and it just sort of happens to him.

  8. Has there been any word about the GoT spin offs that were talked about a while ago?  I would love to see them do a short run for The War of The Ninepenny Kings arc, which could lead to a Roberts Rebellion one.

The Ninepenny Kings were basically 9 guy who banded together to help each of the take over their own territory, including Maelys Blackfyre wanting to take Westeros.  It would have young Barristan, Tywin, Blackfish, The Mad King before he was king.  Kind of an origin story for some of the old guard from the show.

Heh, I have Ser Bronn of the fookin' Blackwater getting The Twins at series end because of the "I'll double your price" thing.

That’s a good guess too.  It’s become slightly more possible that Bronn is actually a Reyne, but I don’t think he actually has any schemes besides just wanting his own castle.  He clearly doesn’t hate the Lannisters, I just think it would be hilarious if he ends up with Casterly Rock just because Jamie owed him and it’s jusr like an a big joke that Tywin’s Legacy gets destroyed and his home goes to the house he famously destroyed.

Mostly I just want Bronn’s story to end with him sitting in Casterly Rock, singing The Rains of Castamere.

  10. On to Season 5 finally.

I have officially come up with my theory for how a certain sub plot plays out.  Jamie is going to finally give Bronn the castle he owes him, and it is going to be Casterly Rock.

Jamie will tell him he needs a sigil and to pick a family name, Bronn will respond with “I already have those, Bronn of House Reyne.”

I don’t think Bronn has some big agenda, he just wants a castle and is doing whatever to get it and just happens to also be the last member of House Reyne.

Given that many story threads in the book have gone in different directions to those in the show, I don't think watching the final series will harm my enjoyment of the final books, should they ever materialise. Perhaps we'll know the way the story ends, but the steps it takes to get there should be different enough to make the books appealing.

I think the most frustrating thing about George RR Martin's slow writing pace is that I didn't find the last couple of books all that exciting, but they ended in such intriguing ways that they left the biggest hooks between the novels yet. Some of the as-yet untied plot points involve characters that aren't even in the show, so we've still got years of fan theories to come.

Give me more Victarion, Darkstar, Blackfyres and Manderly!

Also remember when Robb Stark sent a letter to Howland Reed?  Kind of need that to tie in.

Oh man, they pretty much all gonna die.

Don't be a jerk.  The show is ending with King Aegon VI with his Kingsguard of Eddison Tollett, Grey Worm, Beric Dondarrion, Theon Greyjoy, Jamie Lannister, Brienne of Tarth & Podrick Payne.  Davos will be Hand of the King.  Bronn will get Castamere, Sam will became Grand Master.  Tyrion Master of Coin.  Varys Master of Whispers.  Tormund will become Lord of the Wildlings or something.

  13. I think this is the majority of who is alive:

    Daenerys Targaryen
    Jorah Mormont
    Grey Worm
    Missandei
    Tyrion Lannister
    Varys

    Jon Snow
    Sansa Stark
    Bran Stark
    Arya Stark
    Tormund Giantsbane
    Eddison Tollett
    Davos Seaworth
    Beric Dondarrion
    Sandor Clegane
    Brienne of Tarth
    Podrick Payne
    Samwell Tarly
    Gendry
    Lyanna Mormont

    Theon Greyjoy
    Yara Greyjoy

    Cercei Lannister
    Gregor Clegane
    Jamie Lannister
    Euron Greyjoy
    Maester Qyburn
    Bronn

    Lady Melissandre
    Jaqen H'Ghar
    Daario Naharis
    Meera Reed
    Gilly
    Robyn Arryn
    Hot Pie

  14. I like mobile games just for something to do when I'm bored, I just have nothing on the go at the moment.  I'm kind of sick of games where I need to do something every day.  I sunk a lot of time into I think it was called Tower of Heroes.  You do almost nothing but it was kind of fun to not have to really play the game.

  15. Got back to watching some GoT this weekend, Red Wedding to part way through Season 4.

    - Girlfriend thought The Red Wedding was where Joffrey died, she was not prepared for what happened

    - Joffrey's death was even too much for her despite how much she hated him.  She very much enjoyed dwarf Balon Greyjoy riding a squid.

    - My biggest take away from the Red Wedding is how they purposely show you Wendel Manderly but then they completely took out Wyman's story later on.

    - I really like what they did with the Wildlings south of the wall, Jon killed Orell who was his main antagonist, then the Thenn's showed up and instantly became huge threats because they are cannibals.

    - Karl Tanner gets a special spot for most hated characters, dude is just awful.  I think Tanner, Joffrey and Littlefinger are the characters I hate the most.  In the book for some reason I couldn't stand Rattleshirt.

    - Glad they kept Strong Belwas' duel with Oznak zo Phal in the story, just sad that Belwas isn't in it and Daario got to do it instead.

    - Arya killing Polliver is great, that whole scene with The Hound and the chickens in fantastic.  I only wish Arya told Polliver who she was first, but I guess she cared more about avenging Lommy, whatever the fuck that is.

    - Jamie planning the Kingsguard duties during the Wedding and he mentioned Ser Preston, I like how despite getting 0 screen time, Preston Greenfield completely upgraded his role in the show.

    - I still think it's wild that they established Dontos Hollard, kept him off screen for a season and a half and then suddenly he had two important scenes and they died.

    - With Ice being melted and reforged, where are all the Valaryian Steel blades in the show now?  Jon has Longclaw, Brienne has Oathkeeper and Sam has Heartsbane.  Widow's Wail is somewhere in the capital and I think those are the only ones the show has established.  Meera might have picked up Dark Sister in the Three Eyed Raven's cave.
