  1. It's genuinely wild that Dai Yongge was ever allowed to buy Reading in the first place, and the sooner there's an independent regulator with strong powers to stop this kind of thing the better.
  2. What would've been the funniest decision?
  3. Manchester United getting all the pens they stopped getting as soon as Klopp complained about it out in just this game it seems.
  4. There's a livestream going on right now explaining the shutdown and how they found out: And a watch thread for people who'd rather read that.
  5. Condolences Liverpool fans - despite Steven Gerrard being unwilling to wait just two more seasons at Rangers, you haven't been spared the spectre of a mass media campaign to get him the Liverpool job.
  6. There is trouble every time Italy hosts a UEFA club competition game. At some point, UEFA needs to make Italian clubs play in neutral countries, because this keeps happening.
  7. Those are AI images and it almost definitely will look nothing like that.
  8. I could see Liberty Media being the source of these stories against MBS.
  9. It's a great moment but I could do without the aggression shown by AFC players and club officials like stewards towards MK fans - booting balls at them during the warm up, and just the general unpleasantness that's being reported from the MK fans that made the trip.
  10. Austrian sources now reporting that Horner is trying to buy the team.
  11. The link to the google drive is now out in the wild but I'm not going to share it because I don't want to get banned for linking to something that contains a picture of what may or may not be Christian Horner's dick. There's also a video of him singing karaoke. The screenshots themselves look pretty damning.
  12. Yes, but this is what they want. You should've seen what Rick Parry revealed about what the Prem wanted in terms of % spending allowed for relegated clubs vs clubs not receiving parachute payments.
  13. I'm reminded of a story from, of all places, Graham Poll's book. He tells a story of a UEFA refereeing conference where Collini, recently made head of UEFA refereeing at the time, did a presentation where he showed a clip of two players in an aeriel challenge and one elbowed the other in the face. He asked the assembled refs what card should be shown to the offending player. To a man, the 25-30 refs in the room all said a red card. Collina disagreed, saying that a yellow should be awarded as the player didn't clench his fist as he went up to challenge for the ball and so wasn't intending to do it, as if he intended it he'd have tried to put power into it, and to do that you need to clench your fist, in Collina's view. Is Collina right there? Or were the other refs? Ask a dozen refs about an incident and you'll likely get differing (relatively) opinions on it, and I feel like expecting 'consistency' to the degree that fans demand is rather missing the point about these being subjective decisions.
  14. Steven Gerrard update: still 8th. Behind the 4 PIF clubs and 3 others: Al Taawoun, Damac FC and Al Fateh, who are managed by Slavan Bilic. Al Taawoun are managed by a guy named Péricles Chamusca. Pericles has been a managed for 30 years and has managed 32 clubs, which is impressive.
  15. Average age of Chelsea team at final whistle: 22.6 Average age of Liverpool team at final whistle: 24.1 Just silly commentary by Neville tbh.
  16. Based on how some of their fans complain about it, injuries only happen to Newcastle.
  17. 11 goals, just shy of 1 every 2 games. Obviously Morgan Whittaker is the start of our team but he's been really good for us. Concussed himself earlier in the season and had a massive black eye for a bit. He's not helped by our other strikers being Mustapha Bundu who joined injured, got fit and got injured again immediately, Ben Waine, who is a bit shit, and Freddie Issaka who is 16.
  18. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha get fucked Stoke.
  19. Scumacher dodges the sack... for now.
