Why are we assuming that Gerrard, who hasn't exactly been stellar for in the England in the past... well half a decade at least, would've been a good captain for England? England isn't Liverpool and he's obviously more committed to the latter than the former.

I saw Wales win the world cup twice in 12 years... of course it was in like the 25th century (some guy has simmed to like 3200 for some reason or another...) And Scotland have won 3 European Championships by 3100!

In a 2020 save I downloaded the England job's swapped between Ricardo Carvallho (sp?), Mancini and Jose for the last 10 years or so (although both Roy Hodgeson and 'Arry have had the job.)
