Spoiler: Click here to view I went onto the Whisperwind Cove (opened after beating Tiamat), and amazingly survived all 40 floors to defeat Death Gaze. I got the Ultima Weapon and the Lightbringer, but I will need to make a class change to use them. I figure the only way I'm going to beat Chaos is with the class change, so get a good look at these guys...as this will be the last time you see them in their current state. It feels like a long time ago when my black mage was getting kerpwned by goblins

You would be best to grind the hell out of things before attempting ANY bonus dungeons. I will not be attempting another bonus dungeon until I beat Chaos. I expect to be at level 52 or 53 before I go for them. On every 5 levels of the dungeons, there are boss fights. They are tough as hell unless you grind big time.

Spoiler: Click here to view Three crystals down, one to go! I have the Warp Cube, but I just don't remember where to use it...so now I'm going to just bum-rush all the available optional dungeons and level the hell out of these characters in preperation to fight Tiamat.

So glad that pointless add-on is not coming to the PC version... Not like anyone here plays that anyway *feels lonely*

the Earthgift Shrine is optional. Don't worry about it. Just get yourself killed and you'll come back outside the shrine with 1 HP. You will probably have needed to gotten near the end to have a chance. My weaponry and armor wasn't even putting a dent in the Cerberus. I'll be coming back there after I get my 3rd crystal and some better weapons/armor.

You've got a chance at around level 20 or 21. Level 22 if you don't have many healing items or low MP.

I may be interested, but it's been a long time since I last played Dungeons and Dragons. I'd say it was about 10 years ago the last time I played. I'll google the current rules and see if I can make sense of it all. I'll probably end up just winging it and hope whatever the hell I do is within the rules and stuff. AIM is the same as my username here (Magus978). If you need a glorified meatshield, I'm game.

Spoiler: Click here to view I've skipped the fire crystal for now, and am taking on the Sunken Shrine for the Water Crystal. I'm thinking about trying to beat the game without the class changes...only because I like a challenge. We'll see how I feel after we get through this one.

Finally got the damn airship. This should mean less and less random encounters, as they're annoying the fuck out of me with their overabundance. I'd kill for a no random encounters GameShark code right about now.

Spoiler: Click here to view Gonna take on the Earthgift Shrine before I go on for the second crystal. Lich was easy considering I pretty much grinded the fuck out of things. Had my fighters attack while my white mage cast heal, and black mage cast haste on the fighters, then thundara'd the hell out of it. Easy victory. Next challenge please EDIT: I was whamboozled by one of the shrine's bosses, Cerberus. Luckily, in these shrines, you reappear outside with 1 HP left. It's not total game over. Now to get to the 2nd crystal.

I couldn't resist, so I'm in on this too. Here's where I'm at so far. Spoiler: Click here to view Found a decent training spot northeast of Pravoka, at the tip of the continent. If you get into an encounter at the very tip of it, you'll face enemies like the Minotaur Zombie, Troll, Ice Wolves. They're tough and can overwhelm a weak party, but if you get lucky and beat them, you'll get some big experience, invaluable at this stage of the game. EDIT: Forgot the spoiler tags. There we go.

Red Mages can use basic White and Black magic spells, I believe...they can also use swords. Don't hold me to that because I have not played FF1 in awhile

gamble? In FM2008 the ref was NEVER wrong according to the FA. Not necessarily: I've criticized every ref decision that has gone against me in my games, and I'd say about 25-35% of the time, the FA have been silent over my criticism. Of course, that's just me dicking around and trying to see if I can get a ref fired.

Starting a new game where I take a job in the 2nd season...hoping to get a job with a relegated team in England, or a recently promoted Blue Square North/South team. Not much out there, but there's the Oldham job in League One. Not sure if I want to go for the Oldham job and try to lead them back to the top flight for the first time since '93, or if I want to wait for a promoted BSN/BSS team.

I bought this game for $5 a few days ago at GameStop. It's pretty good even though I suck at it. I still need time to get used to the controls though.

Fair enough. Yes, I am cheating a little (money), but that's it. Money can't buy me wins against Manchester City it seems. They're kicking my ass 2-0 right now after 45 mins.

Does it matter? I'm enjoying my game, and I have other games where I'm not cheating. Sorry if my cheating bothers you, but it's really no skin off my back. Besides, it's not like I'm actually winning ALL my games. If I was, THEN it would be full blown cheating.
