  1. Calgary would stand EVERY chance of losing three straight, especially as we now get to beat them in OUR building... If it wasnt for Edmonton. DAMN YOU, EDMONTOOOOON!
  2. Is it wrong of me to admit that I actually don't mind Sean Avery, and was glad that he pummeled Tucker, and in turn, the Leafs?
  3. I think Basha is more one-eyed for the habs than all of the leafs fans are for the leafs combined.
  4. GoGo, for all the times people say "Shut Up, Plubby" - why is it never as funny or effective as when you say it? I must know.

  5. someone was saying, and i dont remember who something along the lines of "India gets all the press as being a cricket-mad nation, but it's NOTHING compared to Pakistan"
  6. Funny, I heard the book had nothing to do with Match fixing
  7. Fine. They Suck at trapping. Maybe they just suck at losing. Unlike some teams I know. 9-0-1 in the last ten makes you think you're talking about Montreal. Lolz, habz.
  8. Fine. They Suck at trapping. Funny thing: An image in a Calgary newspaper the other day of a car with an Avs logo in the rearview mirror with the caption: "WARNING: Object in mirror may be closer than it appears" Or words to that effect
  9. No i'm not. They weren't my team at that point. A fairytale has never happened to a team I support.
  10. That's what I meant...I was under the impression our second season was the cup winning season. Whatever, my point stands. I was nine years old and had no idea ice hockey existed at that point.
  11. 1996 was our second year in Denver... or are you talking older than that?
  12. Im not expecting anything..Fairytales never happen to my teams.
  13. I like how Basha suggests that with all the penalties Toronto should have given up, that Montreal should have won X-1, except Montreal suck and they wouldn't have scored on ANY of those penalties, just like Columbus's 20-odd game streak scoreless on the powerplay a few tears back. Except Columbus have cooler jerseys.
  14. This is just great for cricket in general. It'll be really good to see some new faces in the next round.
  15. GoGo: He did that here too, heh.
  16. I just got back from the Weird Al concert in Perth tonight, and I gotta say it was fan-fucking-tastic. The support comedian was pretty funny, indicating the difference between the voices of male and female phys ed teachers (none) He started off with a polka-style medley that included songs like Feel Good Inc and Drop it like its lukewarm. He performed some songs from his most recent album (which, embarrasingly, I haven't heard) and some of his older stuff. The audience flipped out over the two big Michael Jackson parodies, as well as the Star Wars american pie, and Amish Paradise The other big cheer he got was during his about 20-30 minute almost continuous perfomring bits from his various songs over the years, and in particular the changing of his Avril Lavigne parody to "Should I go ahead and propose and get hitched and have Kids with 11 toes..and move to Tasmania where that kind of thing is tolerated" Other Australians will know what i'm talking about there He also thanked us for helping him fulfill his "dream" of performing at a Perth Casino... Between all of his songs was some clips from "Al TV" - one of these was talking to someone I didnt recognise, and coming up with the lyrics "Everybody has a cell phone, so why dont we just get real" When we encored him, he came out and sang that, then he asked us all to get out our phones and wave them in tune. So once I realised that the people around me were doing it, I kind of sheeped along with them. Because, let's be honest. I wasn't doing that alone. The remarkable thing was when my mate who I gave a spare ticket to (for free) told me to turn around, and behind me, all the way through to the back, and all that I could see of the top tier - I saw little blue light waving over 90% of the X-hundred person theatre. It was a great sight. EDIT: Forgot to mention that he added a new verse to 'Headline News' about Britney Spears, which was hilarious. And the crowd also cheered wildly for Smells Like Nirvana, which was performed with background dancing by two RIDICULOUSLY attractive cheerleaders. Enough Woman of the Week to make up for all of SSTB's past weeks. So, um yeah. Anyone got any other Weird Al concert, or even just general Weird Al experiences they want to talk about?

AGE OF EMPIRES!!!! I've heard both good things from some people and bad from others, so might need other opinions on that though. Just saying..if I had it, i'd be playing it for sure.

  21. Budaj's such a machine. So soon after blanking Boston, he's beaten Buffalo 3-2. Brilliant! Aliiteration, hoo!
  22. That's not a team. Kovulchuk - Crosby - Kapanen Ovechkin - Datsyuk - Hejduk Palffy - Forsberg - Upshall Frolov - Lehtinen - Tanguay Bouwmeester - Pisa (Frantisek) Kaberle - Salo Hamhuis - Timander Woywitka - OH MALIK WENT BETWEEN HIS LEGS Lehtonen - Kiprusoff Bench: Liles Orsazgh TEH LAPPY Rob Niedermayer and Victor Kozlov THIS - is a team.
  23. Nintendo is not unfamiliar with this. Pokemon G/S release was delayed months and months for no apparent reason. People quit waiting for it and it wasn't as successful as it otherwise might have been.
