  1. Sounds interesting. My brother has an account that I can always use. I think it's Kirby, not sure.
  2. Bah. If there's one thing I don't like, it's Magic Cards. They're pretty much the running joke of our grade/ school, as all the "nerds" (I use the term loosely, as I go to a Selective School, thus we're all technically "smart") play it. And they all play it in one part of the school as well, which is pretty much void of any other human life form. So, no, I don't like it. I'm not into "tapping mana".

    Battle Royale

It isn't banned in the states, it's just that the distributor refuses to release it here because they'd want the right amount/distribution, which no American distributor is willing to give. ←

    Battle Royale

You shouldn't be watching this movie then if you're twelve. So there. ← Mommy Kou knows best. Anyways.. what's this movie about, and for somebody like me (who isn't too fond of subtitles) is it really worth buying? ←
  5. Even though I liked Battle Royale, it should be no where near the #37. Hell, I thought it would be lucky to make the Top 100. And, Prisoner Of Azkaban at 64?!?!? Who the hell voted for it? The movie was utter shite, just like the first two were. How in the world did it beat such movies as The Lord Of The Rings and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly?

    2004 Olympics

*SPOILERS for Australia/Japan Baseball semi-final* Whoa!! Australia beat Japan 1-0!!! And we're into the finals, baby, against either Canada or Cuba.
  7. When I first saw the title, I thought they were talking about the Pokemon Ash. Now, who wouldn't want to see Pikachu get sawn in half?
  8. Yeah, and Professor Flitwick went through a complete makeover as well
  9. Don't think any of the Dursley's will die. There's still a lot going on with the Dursley's (What Dudley saw with the Dementor, how much does Pertunia know etc.) so I don't think any of them will be killed off, at least in Book 6 anyway. As for the Half-Blood Prince, what about Dumbledore? What "blood type" is he?
  10. I can't really think of a way to make the 4th movie good if it's all one movie :/ There's too much stuff going on that relates to the main plot that would be very hard to cut from the movie. So far, all 3 movies have been below average, and I see this one going the same way.

    2004 Olympics

They've gone downhill since 1996? Why was the one held in Sydney in 2000 dubbed the best and most successful in history? Or, are you referring to the actual sports themselves?
  12. I haven't read/seen the Manga, so I can't comment on it, but I liked Kiriyama in the book and movie, though my favourite character in the book would probably go to Shinji, and in the movie Shogo. I'd have to read and watch them both again.
  13. I think this is featuring more on the battles, than the base building and such itself, though, from what I've seen and read, that still comes into it. Anyway, I have the EA site for this, and the other Lord Of The Rings game coming out (called Lord Of The Rings: The Third Age, which is a RPG game) bookmarked. Both games (this one in particular) seem great.
  14. Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers- 10/10 Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King- 10/10 And, change my score of Fellowship Of The Ring to 10/10 as well. All of them are brilliant and probably the best 3 films I have ever watched
  15. Battle Royale. Great book, better than the movie adaptation in my opinion. I'm currently re-reading the Lord Of The Rings at the moment
  16. The thing is, I'm a fan of the books, but I think the movies have been... well... pretty crap so far. That's just my opinion though
  17. When you get back, do you mind expanding a bit on this? I'd like to see your views on the movie
  18. Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring- 9.5/10 The LOTR movie series has to be my favourite, and it is shown in my ratings. This movie was great, and perhaps better than Two Towers. Not sure though, will watch Two Towers again in the next week
  19. Dawn Of The Dead- 9/10. Thought it was a great movie, which was quite the funny in some places. Van Helsing- 6.5/10. I liked it, but then again, I might be too generous in my reviews Paycheck- 6/10. Interesting, and well thought of, though it was most likely based on something (there was a book to it I know of) Edit: Altered my ratings a bit after reading/hearing what others have said/say
  20. Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban: 5/10 Spoilers for people who care Likes: -Buckbeak- For me, this was one of the most well done parts of the film. -The Dementors- I liked these, as they made them look as different as possible from the Nazgul in LOTR, yet JKR described them as almost the same. The freezing bit when they got near was also a nice extra -Stan (young guy on the bus)- He was well played in my opinion, as was quite a bit of this scene Dislikes: -The opening- It basically went like this: "I'm Vernon's brother" "Can you sign my form?" "You suck Harry" "No I don't" (Aunt blows up) "I'm going" It went for all of 5 minutes, and if you hadn't read the book, you might not have got this scene fully. -The fact that everything jumped from one thing to another and there wasn't much flow between scenes and stuff -The mistakes- Through one viewing of the film, I could see about 5 of them, though, this isn't a big thing -The characters- Not the actual characters themselves, but the changing of them (eg. Flitwick has suddenly grown a moustache and black hair) and the fact that people like McGonagall got to say about 2 lines, while some random kid (eg. the big, black one) got more of a part, yet he hadn't been seen before I could come up with more, but I can't remember much of what I have. People are saying this is better than the first two, and if it is, just barely.
  21. 28 Days Later- 8/10. I liked it, even though some of the people watching it with me didn't. In my opinion, it had a great storyline. Kill Bill Vol. 1- 8/10. Good movie. The fighting scenes were nice and I will most likely watch the second, but the fact that Uma Thurman looks like a man in some shots and that she single handedly defeated the Crazy 88 (I know she was a good fighter and all, and had a great sword, but :/) Battle Royale- 8.5/10. I enjoyed it a lot, and will enjoy it even more after I have finished reading the book. Even though some of the acting as a bit shoddy, it was well made overall. Shogo Kawada > *

    Troy

In my opinion, the acting was mixed. Eric Banna, Sean Bean, the old guys and the 3 ladies played their roles well. Bloom was alright, not his best though. And Pitt just didn't fit the role in my opinion. The fact that we didn't know who to "cheer" for I didn't mind, though I guess we were supposed to go for the Trojans, as they had more "main" characters, and the Greek soldiers were protrayed as pricks (with the cousin and all). I agree with you on the action scenes not being that great, and that they could have added something extra to them. And, although this would have been hard to do, as they would have most likely had to bring in some more actors to replace some of the characters, but the actual war went on for years, and in the movie it went for about 15 days.
