  1. Liverpool limping over the line it seems. And I guess Salah and Klopp have had a bit of a row on the sidelines. Salah is prone to a bit of a strop sometimes.
  2. It's really weird that managers are being talked about with transfer fees attached. But i guess that's the way its going
  3. Although he's the biggest footballing star in the Arabic-speaking world I really don't see him moving out there. He's also apparently quite friendly with Ian Rush and has got his eye on getting as close to Rush's goal record as possible. He averages around 30 goals a season and could very easily move into 3rd behind Hunt and Rush within a year or so. They're probably in the range of Arsenal last season right now. They are a young side that's not quite got the total lived experience to push for a league title. A lot of them are 25 and under. Joe Gomez is only 26.
  4. Robertson is one of the best players in his position. Keep him. Gomez has had a great season and can play multiple positions. And if Matip is going on a free, why reduce the number of CBs further? Diaz has been one of the best attacking players in the last month and has had a great season. It would look pretty poor to sell a guy months after his dad was kidnapped. Salah is still Mo Salah. It would be weird to sell him. Unless he really didn't want to stay. Kostas and Kelleher are squad players. So maybe the most likely outs of any there.
  5. And yet, as always, the answer is Crystal Palace. One thing last night did was Arnie Slots' Liverpool a clean slate to start a new run of beating Everton. I think Klopp only ever won 2 games at Goodison in his entire tenure. Not sure nis record at Old Trafford was that good either.
  6. I don't think Salah is fully fit tbh I don't think Nunez helping him either. Whereas a few months ago they seemed like a great partnership. Still, this team wasn't expected to be where it is after having a terrible season last year. I had thought maybe the season might go down to the last day with three teams in it but I doubt that'll happen now. Liverpool have just punched themselves out.
  7. Liverpool just look tired. Players peaked a month early or others just aren't fit. nice for Everton to win something once in a while I suppose
  8. i just like to see them win games and see what happens Another factor with Salah is that he was coming back from injury during Ramadan. Fasting can't help him be at his best when he's also trying to get back to 100% match sharpness.
  9. VVD smells so nice that it made Troy Deeney lose his mind
  10. Virgil Van Dijk famously smells really nice and they do a lot of ads for Nivea and stuff so I imagine they do wash regularly
  11. this feels like some kind of MLM rather than a football team
  12. The injury earlier this year is probably still affecting him in some way Liverpool are in a place where there's a number of key players coming back from injury just a little too late and the second choice players are flagging
  13. How many episodes of Tv could we get out of Graeme Souness managing in Turkey?
  14. if only football didnt start in 1992. Then we could get something about Liverpool and Everton in the 1980s.
  15. every time I hear/see his name I think of Carlton Palmer
  16. at the same time Liverpool are one of the highest scoring teams in Europe Can't be both bad at scoring goals and also score a lot of goals. But you can run out of steam a bit, have one too many players injured/coming back from injury and find yourself overly relying on players who weren't meant to be relied upon this much (Kelleher, Endo, Bradley, Quansah).
  17. Up to recently, Liverpool's greatest strength had been their 2nd choice and youth players coming up with the goods. Now it seems that they've gone to that well one too many times and the first-team regulars who are coming back just aren't sharp enough themselves. It is a shame but at the same time, Liverpool were playing kids and relying on more inexperience than experience for weeks. That may be the league gone for Liverpool. It's not unlikely that City and Arsenal both have off days but it looks like Liverpool ran out of steam too early.
  18. I didn't see the game but the most level headed comments I saw to the Liverpool result were that Atalanta were good, Liverpool weren't and the team selection was a risk that didn't pay off. Its unfortunate. But Jota is back, Trent was on the bench and it looks like Alisson is on his way back too. I'd prefer to have lost 3-0 away but last time Liverpool played Atalanta was in the champions league and they lost 2-0 at home but they won 5-0 away. The caveat being that it was 2020 but shows its not impossible for Liverpool to go there and score 3 at least.
  19. I suppose its representative of the present field when it comes to available managers. I know next to nothing about him. It's probably a better option than Alonso or De Zerbi in that he's presently managing one of the biggest clubs in Portugal, in a city with two big clubs, and could very well go out having won them two league titles. I can't remember if it was Edwards or Julian Ward who were big into Portuguese football but it also tracks with Liverpool's recent frequent forays into buying from that league.
  20. Liverpool weren't clinical enough for the second time in a month against United and it cost them.
  21. particularly how other Brighton midfielders went for vs him Endo has been the real revelation.
  22. But regular? You bet. Koalas poop 360 times a day - even in their sleep.
