  1. Oh no, I'm on ignore! I'm sad. So you can't direct me to any quote from any non-Gregg Williams player who said what you reportedly heard them saying? Is that what you're saying?
  2. Translation: He was right so now I have to change the subject and go after a player that has nothing to do with this. I have not seen a single player that didn't play for Gregg Williams who has admitted that he was on a team where players/coaches handed out bonus money for injuring players on the other team. So no, this isn't something that happens with every team. --- Do we really need or want to discuss the Harrison thing again? I've said it before that I don't think Harrison is intentionally trying to injure players. His hits on Mohammed Massaquoi and Colt McCoy were not worthy of punishment in my opinion. But I've also said that if he is stupid enough to not change his game when he sees that it's hurting his team then he deserves any punishment he gets.
  3. Peytons suspension is probably more fit knowing about it and doing nothing to stop it. He indirectly supported the bounty in the face of the leagues emphasis on playersafety. The league would've looked bad by gong easy on him And Bill Belichick planned and organized spying on other teams. How is what Payton did worse than that? And Meacon, that is what you get for forsaking the godchild! He oversaw a coach that was literally giving his players money to try and end the careers of fellow players. All the Pats did was videotape some signals. It wasn't like they stole playbooks, or bugged phones. What the Saints and Gregg Williams did was way worse. And the NFL had to do something to make sure it never happens again. This from the James Harrison fan. Did you not hear pretty much every ex player, now analyst come out and say "Yeah, we had something like that going on when we were playing" I never once heard any player say that the defensive coordinator, head coach, or GM knew about it and condoned it. And I never once heard any player say that money would exchange hands for injuring another player. Good plays, yes. But injuries, no.

  5. I agree, he was the dirtiest WR of all the times If he played for your team you'd love him.
  6. Ryans is a better fit for the 43 and the Texans run a 34 defense. --- As for Hines Ward, what a liar. He comes out in his press conference today and says that other teams had interest but he couldn't see himself putting on another uniform. That's bullshit. Once again Hines has his ass kissed by the media and the fans who don't understand that it's all an act. I've been in that locker room, Hines Ward might be a great teammate (do great teammates call out their QB for missing a game with a concussion?), he might be a great mentor, one thing he is not is sincere. Hines is all about Hines, always has been. There's nothing wrong with that, but the problem lies in the front he puts on so that everyone will love him. EDIT: Also, I believe he should go into the Hall of Fame. Some day. Stats aren't everything. Hines played WR like no one else before him. He played on some very run-heavy offenses, and he was the consummate professional on the field. But he shouldn't go in right away. Like Jerome Bettis, there are other, much more deserving players on his own team, let alone the league.
  7. Last season would disagree with you, though that was partly due to LaMarr Woodley getting hurt. --- Still trying to wrap my head around how in the world someone can say, completely seriously, that New England should/will try to trade for Tim Tebow.
  8. Cleveland wasn't willing to give up both 1st rounders this year. The speculation is that if Cleveland would've been willing to part with both 1st round picks it would've only taken one or two 2nd rounders to move up, but as usual Cleveland fucked up. The Rams had their asking price and the Redskins met it. I don't think 2 first round picks and a 2nd round pick is all that much to give up for a franchise QB. It's a QB-driven league and teams have shown time and time again that if you don't have a franchise quarterback, you cannot win championships in today's NFL. If RGIII is that guy for the Redskins then what they gave up is merely the price they had to pay to get their QB. Now they can get him some weapons via free agency.
  9. Jets reach agreement on extenstion with Mark Sanchez. Redskins reach agreement with Rams to trade for #2 pick. -- per Jay Glazer on Twitter
  10. I'm not sure how I feel about the possibility of losing Mike Wallace (which I don't expect to happen). On one hand, Antonio Brown is clearly the better receiver and Wallace has had problems with dogging it on deep routes and he doesn't have great hands. But losing him would mean the Steelers have Antonio Brown and the injured Emmanuel Sanders as the only WRs on the roster heading into the season. It's the Steelers though so if they do lose Wallace, they'll figure out a way to move on offensively.
  11. I think that Hawaiian guy Rocky Feller used to have as his avatar was just on Tosh.0.

  12. Looks like I'm gonna have to go to NYC and try to get close to Eli during the parade on Tuesday then.
  13. :lmao: Has anyone pointed out that the Patriots haven't won anything since Spygate yet? If not, someone should. Also, Eli's making a great case for being the best QB of the class of 2004. I believe Roethlisberger still has the better stats, but who knows how long that holds up?
  14. People listen to/care what Skip Bayless says? Not really but you can't avoid hearing him, and that's the problem. Try not watching ESPN. I haven't watched ESPN for anything other than actual game broadcasts in three years. It's a much better existence.
  15. People listen to/care what Skip Bayless says?
  16. Why we can't just have like an 8 minute OT period and give the game to the team with the most points at the end of that is beyond me. Why can't they go the college route but start the drive at the 50 instead? Games between high powered offenses might never end.
  17. Why we can't just have like an 8 minute OT period and give the game to the team with the most points at the end of that is beyond me.
  18. Can't give up 30 points to Tebow and expect to win. Early offensive miscues hurt big time. I can't remember a game where the Steelers receivers dropped so many passes. Also Ike Taylor literally shut down every single big time receiver he faced all season then comes out and has THAT game? Sad. Woodley's post-season sack streak ends. Rodney Harrison is non-existent. None of that happening is going to lead to victory. Steelers defense was last in turnovers this season, in today's NFL turnovers are probably the most important defensive stat next to points allowed. I don't care about yards, that #1 defensive rating is useless when you're sitting at home. Oh well, can't win every year. Looks like now I'm a Giants fan.
  19. This is embarrassing. Defense getting outcoached. Offense sucks. Steelers don't deserve to win this game. Just awful. EDIT: Steelers were down 14 points at halftime against a much better Ravens team last season. The difference is the Steelers were at home and had a defense that could actually force turnovers. This game isn't over. But it's close.
  20. Thank you for the birthday wishes x3!

  21. That's not what I meant but let's not let facts get in the way of our argument, eh? Rather than drag this thread down any further I will refrain from restating my point. ----- Fuckin' Bengals. Every time I root for them they end up losing. Though I guess that's how Bengals fans always feel. As for Harrison, I've thought about it and since this hit was illegal, I can't really argue any punishment he gets from the league. Even if three of his fines last year were absolute bullshit. Strangely enough, his most egregious play all season last year was the one fined the least.
  22. Sure, that's why I go out of my way to make sure I'm being impartial when I write about the team. I will readily admit that my reaction is sometimes affected by the initial reaction from the rest of you guys. But just because I'm the only one who dissents doesn't mean I'm wrong. I'm sure there are people on this board who look at things the exact opposite way when it comes to the Steelers, or the same way when it comes to their team. But perhaps they aren't as abrasive as I am when making their points.
  23. Possibly. But again, offensive players do move around. Take the Massaquoi hit from last year for example, wouldn't have been helmet-to-helmet if Massaquoi wasn't ducking.
  24. Alright: every single hit James Harrison has made in the last three years. There, now you fucking prove he's not a dirty player. It's also onus. Learn to spell. Oh no I misspelled one fucking word in my life! I'll respond to logic when I see logic. For now I'll just respond to this. What is Harrison doing that's different from how he's been taught to tackle? Deion Sanders (who admittedly, never hit a person in his life when he played in the NFL) seems to think Harrison hit McCoy exactly as he was taught to tackle. Surely Deion would know more about football than either of us, right? When Suggs had that dirty ass helmet-to-helmet hit on Roethlisberger I wasn't calling for him to be suspended or thrown out of the league. I may hate the Ravens because they're the Steelers' rival but I don't blindly hate them.
