  1. It certainly is a step down from the likes of Hugh Hefner and Pamela Anderson, but those 48 shows are big ratings draws. Brigitte Nielsen taking credit for it all was rather sad. They should take her back to Promises.
  2. Who is that black woman seated behind Carrot Top? I believe they called her "Simone" or something. I've never seen nor heard of her before in my life.
  3. Amen. Just beat me making this thread. Kimmel's stolen the show. Brigitte Nielsen won't be topping that.
  4. Zidane's. It was a one-on-one fight. I figured out you've got to kill the Waltz first, then the seal thing. Past that, I'm currently detouring in some marsh en route to Gizamaluke's Grotto. I'm really only playing to relive the storyline and characters, most of which I ignored in first play a few years ago under the assumption they just suck. Here's my re-assessment. Zidane: I had pretty much written him off first play since, unlike Cloud and Squall, he wasn't toting a sword 2 to 2.5 times his height. He's a lot more likable than I recall and the irony of his self-professed success with the ladies isn't lost on me this go. Dagger: How are you realistically supposed to name her anything else? "What's this?" "It's a dagger." "Oh, then my name will be... Carol?" Anyway, the singing isn't as charming as I think it's supposed to be, but her quest to fit in by saying "I'll" instead of "I shall" is endearing... for now. Steiner: I think I loved him first play but I love love him now. I don't remember nor care if he ever warms up to Zidane. Truth 'til death with this guy. Vivi: Hard not to feel sorry for the little guy. I don't recall how the black mage stuff ends either, but I'm rooting for him not to be a mindless puppet... with a mind... or something. I wish I could've killed the little kid at Dali that attacked him though. Freya: I just got her, I think it's "her" anyway, and I was shocked as hell when I was asked to name her. I don't recall her at all from first play. She's bad-ass though and singlehandedly steering my under-leveled crew (Steiner & Dagger are MIA) through battles with her jumps. It is. By far my favorite FF game, despite the abysmal translation at times. A good hour or two of straight levelling up at the beginning goes a LONG way.
  5. After reading this thread, I decided to give FFIX another chance. I'm really surprised some people view it as highly, or higher even, than VII or VIII. So far. I'm having a bitch of a time getting past The Black Waltz and his seal thing in the Ice Cavern. The characters are much more enjoyable than I remember though.
  6. I was going to watch it but fell asleep before it came on. So I take it I missed out.
  7. Cabin Fever, Final Destination & Final Destination 2 (for the first time). I was too lazy to reach for the remote so Sci-Fi was on all day. I'm still wondering how it came to be on in the first place. I'll give them all 6.5/10 because my rating system is horribly arbitrary. I liked 'em okay enough.
  8. Do you mean animated ones or just in general?
  9. I also thought the line following that was "Inside Michelle I wait and bleed". I kept thinking "Who's Michelle?"
  10. I kind of have a soft-spot for Larry The Cable Guy. Being from the southern U.S., you meet a lot of people like that. Or are related to them... Him aside, I agree with all of your nominations, especially Carlos Mencia. I don't think I've ever laughed at anything he's done.

    Yeeesh. Overreact much?

You cry for a long time. :(

  13. King Of Queens is all right, or at least was anyway. The more recent episodes I've seen feature second-string characters (the dogwalker, the guy's friends, etc.) in plots that have little or nothing to do with the three major characters. Oh, and the wife got heavy. I too have never heard of Rodney, even in passing. Eight Simple Rules pretty much died with John Ritter, but some of the episodes that limped on after that were good, though not all that funny. It really stopped being a comedy and became something else at that point. They could've probably kept it lighter with a "hey, Dad got a new job in Malaysia" or something, but most Ritter fans would piss all over it anyway. My over-mourning his death, they got to stretch on a bit longer. Everybody Loves Raymond I personally hate but it was hugely popular in America, easily the #1 sitcom. In fact, I think before American Idol started, it might have been the #1 show. I attribute it fully to old people falling asleep with their televisions on while watching the evening news. Hope & Faith totally sucked. I've never met a person who liked it and very few (myself included) would publicly admit having seen it. Again, I think old people and Regis & Kelly fans make up it's entire fanbase. Just Shoot Me really got fucked around by whatever network it used to be on. They changed it's time slot so many times that it never really had a chance to become a very popular show. I remember liking the episodes I've seen well enough, but I wouldn't consider it a top show. Everything in America is a game/reality show now. They're quick, easy and relatively cheap to make and people can't seem to get enough of them. The only sitcom I watch now is Scrubs re-runs on Comedy Central, which are really only new to me.
