  1. Hahahaha, Johnny Cash. I burst out laughing when I read that along with fineintent's response. Whew, you guys made my morning.
  2. I think it's telling you to play Battleship instead.
  3. It was probably Snow's Informer. Snow actually has a badass reggae flow, especially for a white boy from Canada. Infooooooormer, detective mon something something something down da lane, a licky boom boom down! Word!
  4. I got my call from EB tonight at 6 telling me I can pick the game up tomorrow at 10, which is when the mall opens. I preordered it today around 2 and was suprised I got called back so quickly. It's strange why they would call me tonight and tell me to pick the game up tomorrow. I guess they want to make peopl who preordered in advance get the game first. Damn them! But by 11 am tomorrow morning I will be sitting infront of the TV until 7pm, then again at 1 am on Thursday until....who knows.
  5. Ah, 1998. Sean Combs was still Puff Daddy, Will Smith was in the prime of his return to music, Usher was making a name for himself, girls (and maybe a few guys) wanted to nail the Backstreet Boys, Destiny's Child had 5 members, Mariah Carey was still considered mentally sane, Master P made em say "Uhhhh", Aerosmith unleashed everyone's favorite guilty pleasure "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing", Madonna decided to grace the world with a new CD, and Mase was there too.
  6. You know the drill, suggest me some upbeat, uptempo, refreshing, party like music. Something the along the lines of Andrew W.K., except not Andrew W.K. because I already have the "I Get Wet" album. Just something along those lines. Thanks in advance.
  7. Bio-Dome, any movie with the Safety Dance is fine by me.
  8. What the French call a certain...I don't know what. Sevendust Nonpoint 36 Crazyfists System of a Down Disturbed
  9. Yeah, by artists I meant pop artists, sorry.
  10. Thanks for the info guys, I found my Freak Show CD and its been getting quite a bit of playing time today. I got chills while listening to Cemetery for the first time in years.
  11. Alot of people do lip sync at things like award shows and late night shows such as SNL. I kinda feel bad for her seeing as so many artists get away with it, in this case she didn't.
  12. It is a shame, I think they could have been bigger if given the chance, but you can say that about alot of bands. Silverchair had a unique sound to them, not sure how to describe it though. I know my friend has Frogstomp buried away somewhere, I'm going to try and see if I can borrow.
  13. So they had quite a few albums after Neon Ballroom? Wow, they must have been under the mainstream music radar. Unless I did hear about the releases, but I just didn't seem to care at the time. They did leave Sony though, right? I'm almost 90% sure I remember hearing something a few years ago about a conflict with Sony, which in the end sent them on their way out of the label. If so, who are they signed to now?
  14. Yeah, Silverchair were fairly big back in the day but I haven't heard anything from them since their 3rd album, Neon Ballroom, which I own along with Freak Show. I was actually a fan of the band from the release of Freak Show in 1997 up until sometime in 2000. Then they just seemed to vanish. I know they had problems with Sony and the were either dropped from the label or walked out on them. I believe it was over the release of a "Best Of" or "Unreleased Tracks" CD that Silverchair didn't approve of. So are they still around? If so, are they still making music? Oh, and just out of curiosity, is the Frogstomp album any good?
  15. I was playing GTA 2 today, you know with the good old 2D birds eye view. Sure it was pretty much the exact same game as the original GTA, but it brings back good memories. The radio stations in that game kicked ass! Taxi drivers must diiiiiiiie! If you have the game I suggest you pop it in and just listen to the audio. The songs are pure gold, the DJs are hilarious, and the commercials are second to none.
  16. SOAD, being one of my top 5 favorite bands I have quite a few favorite songs, but my clear cut favorite is I-E-A-I-A-I-O followed closely by Fuck The System then Bounce. So now in list format. 1. I-E-A-I-A-I-O 2. Fuck The System 3. Bounce
  17. As much as I love Toronto (they are the local team) they are still in the re-education process. If they do make the post season, it will be the culmination of one hell of an up hill battle.
  18. All I have is PS2. I've played 3 though, but I find PS2 to be best. Well, its my favorite at least. Then X-Box, with Gamecube being up the rear.
  19. I echo the above statement. Maybe Sony hates you.
  20. Wilco...Wilco. Wasn't Wilco that store that turned into Walmart? Oh wait, that was Walco. Didn't Wilco have a semi hit in the mid 90's? They sound familiar.
  21. I forgot to reserve my copy at EB, but I'm not sure if I'll have money to buy it. The only time of the year I buy games now is in the fall/winter and I usually barely squeak out enough money for 3 or 4 games. I need GTA, THUG 2, and SvR for sure though. I'm not into RPG games anymore or games with vast stories and complex shit like that. Oh and though the radio stations look killer, none of them compare to Emotion 98.3 with Fernando Martinez. Like a fat girl who suddenly loses alot of weight.
  22. K-Jah Radio West and Radio: X will be mine.
  23. Part tradition, part pride, part emotion. Supporting the local team is like taking care of something that is yours and yours alone. The only sports team people around here care about are the Maple Leafs. We support them through thick and thin, even if we act like armchair GMs/coaches and bitch the team out most of the time. Win or lose, the true fans will always be there. Its a shame that it will probably awhile before I sit in the ACC and enjoy some real sporting excitement. Oh well, I guess the Raptors will do for now.
