  1. I dunno, but some reason I'm tempted to say Gordon Downie of The Tragically Hip. He has the most unique style and it works, going hand in hand with the equally the band's unique overall sound. Downie's lyrics and the way he projects them are something else as well, he can tell a story like few others can. Certainly not for everyone, but there is just something that makes me admire their style, Downie in particular. Maybe its a Canadian thing.
  2. I heard that the scores are messed up. Like the scores would run up for either one or both sides, for example 10-1 or 7-7 games. Shit like that.
  3. I saw Ringu. It bored me to tears. I honestly don't see what the hype was all about. The Ring grew on me as the film progressed, but while watching Ringu I reached new levels of boredom. I enjoyed The Ring, I didn't expect much out of it, but when it was over I was pleasantly surprised. I rented Ringu thinking that I would enjoy it more...and instead I ended up almost turning it off a few times because I felt like I was wasting my life just watching it. Not scary, but neither was The Ring in my opinion, but unlike The Ring, it plain out sucked. Most over hyped piece of crap ever. Last time I ever listen to Japanese Cinema fan boys ever. I'll take Chinese Kung Fu over Japanese Horror/Suspense any day, thank you very much.
  4. They are ok, I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I have nothing against them. I've heard bits and pieces of their newest album, it is pretty good. If you like them, I suggest you give Nonpoint and Thornley a try.
  5. Starting a fight with a fan makes a player look like a delinquent. I think Ron Artest deserved part of that suspension he got.
  6. The site works for me. And when I first saw the title of this thread I thought it said "JBL Reloaded", but it said "JBK Reloaded".
  7. When Pinball took over coaching, I don't anybody expected him to take the Argos to a Grey Cup that quickly. Good job to the whole team, Allen and Pinball especially.
  8. The Eminem Show was a fantastic album. Agreed with fultie on what he said. People who say that album made him a parody of himself are talking out of their asses and obviously didn't pay close attention to the record. It was Eminem's greatest work to date. If anything it was is last bit of originality before the whole act got old with Encore. Like I said before, Eminem Show would have been the perfect finale for the Slim Shady character.
  9. Saying he or his album is garbage is pushing it. The thing is that it has all been done before and it is time for Eminem to move on creatively. I thought after Eminem Show he would have moved on, because that would have been the perfect gateway into a style shift. It was an amazing overall album and would've been a great end to the old Slim Shady character, if he is planning to retire the moniker. The record isn't bad, but it is just typical Eminem, the same thing we've heard for 3 albums already. Regardless of what people think of him, he is quite talented, I believe he can live past this and rejuvenate his work.
  10. I was scared for a bit, but the Viks pulled through. As close as the game was, that was a crucial win for the Moss-less Minnesota squad. And man, did the Bengals give Pittsburgh a run for their money. Thankfully they held them off and are 9-1. Both of favorite teams win close games. That is all I ask. And to dragon27...who will be mauled by who? Haha. It looked to me like Peyton had his way with the Bears. Now to continue watching the Eli Experiment.
  11. Boston - Uh, whatever album "More Than A Feeling" is on Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced? Metallica - Ride The Lightning Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory Pearl Jam - Ten Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Majik The Clash - London Calling
  12. If you mena sports in general, I have a few. Whenever Duce Staley gets the ball, the Pittsburgh crowd yells "DUUUUUUUUCE". I love that. Or at the Detroit Redwings game when the crowd chants "GOOOOOO REDWINGS". How about, "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie" or my personal favorite "GO LEAFS GO". But the one I can't get enough of is in the playoffs, when the away team gets eliminated and the crowds sings "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye". I love that.
  13. The playoffs were pure awesome. The Lions/Roughriders game was great, as was the Als/Argos game. Hopefully the Grey Cup will be a barn burner. Go Argos go!
  14. And if the cops are chasing you while you are driving, usually if you drive off a cliff and into the water, they will follow down. Dumbasses. Everyone knows that though. Its also kinda funny when a cop accidentally runs over an innocent bystander. "To serve and protect", my ass. Oh yeah, another thing that once happened to me. I was driving around Easter Bay Airport, when I accidentally drove right into the water. I get out of my car and swim around for a few seconds, when all of a sudden I hear a big splash in the water, followed by screams. I turn around to see a guy laying head first in the water and a motorcycle underneath him.
  15. One thing I never understood in the game is why people jump in front of cars instead of out of the away. At first I thought it was due to the fact that they are dumb as rocks. I mean, diving right in front the me while I'm driving! Then I thought....maybe its suicide. Now, I'm not a sadistic person, but people avoiding being hit by a car by jumping in front of it just does not make sense. Another time, I took a short cut by driving over the train tracks, there were two guys standing on the side walk and as I sped past them, I could have swore I saw one guy push the other in front of me. Needless to say, I drove over the poor guy and the evil man who did the pushing just calmly walked away. I wasn't really paying attention, but it looked as though the one guy put his arm out and pushed the other guy. Hmmm. Any similar stories of dumbass bystanders doing dumbass things?
  16. Love Fist is mentioned in the SA, which everyone knows. Also, Fernando, the DJ from Emotion in VC, calls into that relationship show on WCTR.
  17. For some reason I see Slamvans in San Fierro quite often. I was so excited when I saw one for the first time, but now I see them all the time so its lost its novelty. Plus, I think my lowered Bobcat with pimped out rims looks more badass. Well, no, but I still love it. In various garages I have the following cars. And I'm going by memory so...yeah. Cheetah, yellow, modified with new rims, exhaust, side skirts, spoiler, and 10x nitrous Landstalker, black, lowered w/hydraulics, modified with new rims, bass boost Sabre, royal blue, modified with new rims and exhaust Slamvan, black with orange flames paint job, modified with new rims, exhaust, chrome bumpers (front and back), chrome grill, bass boost, flame side skirt package, 10x nitrous Remington, black with teal flames outlined in blue, modified with new rims, new exhaust, chrome bumpers (front and back), bass boost. Bobcat, yellow and sky blue (actually looks pretty sick), lowered w/hydraulics, new rims, bass boost Voodoo, black, new rims, new exhaust, hydraulics, bass boost, 10x Nitrous Jester (can't modify it for some reason...WTF?) Elegy (same deal as Jester) That car that looks like a Toyota Supra....Z35 300 or something?...I never drive it, but yeah, its white, has new rims, spoiler, side skirts, new exhaust, 10x Nitrous, bass boost, and a hood scoop (I think) Blista Compact, gold, lowered w/hydraulics, hood vents, roof scoop, new rims, exhaust, spoiler, bass boost Stallion, off white, hood vents, new rims, spoiler, new exhaust, Blade, black with orange flames, hydraulics, bass boost, new rims, chrome bumpers, chrome grill, new exhaust, and of course, bass boost I also have a police bike, 2 BF Injections, 2 quad bikes, and golf caddy. I spent a TON of money modifing the cars, and I have a few others that I now I'm forgetting about. But whatever. And does anyone know why the garage door at Transfender doesn't open when I drive up with the Elegy or the Jester? Is this normal or is it just me? Edit: Added a few more, got the Sabre mixed up the Stallion.
  18. Yeah, I'm a terrible aimer though, I can't manuver the thing for shit. I want to move the site just a touch and I end up moving like 3 inches. I dunno why. I'm piss poor with the analog stick, except when I'm driving.
  19. God, I forgot about that stupid Air Raid mission. I'm terrible at aiming the minigun, so hitting something as small as those stupid toy planes was a bitch. Half the time I got pissed off and just shot Zero instead.
  20. Badmotorfinger is an awesome album. I picked it up for a cool $7.99 a few years ago.
  21. The Chapelle Show is fucking awesome. Trading Spouses, the crackhead talking to the kids in the school, and the "Race Draft" or whatever is was called ("The Chinese have selected...Tiger Woods"..."Colin Powell is officially white"), but my personal favorite had to be the short spoof of the Mitsubishi commercial at the very beginning of the first show. The commercial with that Dirty Vegas song playing and the girl in pink doing an idiotic dance. The girl is in the passenger's seat doing the dance and Dave is driving. Dave turns to her with the funniest expression and says "What the fuck are is THAT?!?". Just the tone of his voice, the look on his face, and the mood is perfect. Really set the tone for the first episode, IMO.
