  1. Blackstar is a good pick up. Dropkick Murphy's are pretty good, as are NOFX.
  2. Are you fucked? Miami Vice is not crap.
  3. Meh, some will probably disagree with this, but the documentary "When We Where Kings". The whole thing was like no other documentary I had ever seen. For those who don't know, "When We Where Kings" is about the events leading up to and surrounding famous Heavyweight title fight in Zaire between the champion George Foreman and Muhammad Ali, better known as the Rumble in the Jungle. When I saw it, I knew very little about the whole thing, so I did learn a lot from the the film, but after reading up more on the whole thing, there some things that could be added in or expanded on. Still, it is great and very insightful in my view, worth at least watching it once. When I saw it for the first time, I felt exactly like the name of this thread....Wow. Honorable mention goes to "The Smashing Machine", I had the same feeling that I did when I saw "When We Where Kings", except they are too different type of documentaries. "When We Where Kings" is more of feel good type story, while "The Smashing Machine" is more like the harsh reality of things.
  4. My personal favorite Sum 41 video is "Makes No Difference", solely because of DMX's cameo when he shows up to the house party on a four wheeler. I'm a huge DMX fan, so when I saw the video years ago I was just like "What the fuck?!?!". Hell Song has an awesome video too, with all the toys, dolls, action figures, etc... it's sooo awesome. The part with the Marilyn Manson and Jesus figures... awesome!
  5. The only I can think of is Sum 41. I'm not a huge HUGE follower, but I do like their music very much and support them 100%. They don't claim to be the best band in the world, nor do they claim be one of the better, but they are a group of 4 guys from Ajax, Ontario, making some catchy tunes and having a good time along the way. They are hilarious too, one of the funniest bands I have ever seen. I have watched quite a few specials on them and seen one of their DVDs, all of which were really funny. I'm used to some people telling me that they are just a poser punk rockers or that they are a boy band with guitars (which doesn't make sense to me). Whatever, they have pop elements, they aren't the best musicians, but their CD's have some great songs one them. I actually think their style is very original, borrowing different elements from diferent styles and making a kind of unique sound. That's what I think and I know a lot of people around here probably despise Sum 41, but I don't care, I think they're awesome. Plus, they make some killer music videos.
  6. I didn't cry, but it was pretty emotional when Derek holds Danny's body in his arms at the end of American History X, followed by Danny reading the end of his essay. That was pretty deep to me.
  7. On the last episode of Friends I shed tears. As rushed as season 10 of Friends was, it was a very emotional last episode. At first when it seemed like Rachel was leaving for good, I was so upset. The whole thing with Ross and Phoebe speeding to the airport finding Rachel literally moments before she got on the plane. Then having Ross tell her that he loved her, but she still got on the plane anyways. At first I was crushed. Then when Ross gets back to his apartment, he hears a message that Rachel left from the plane on his answering machine and she tries to get off the plane, but the stewardess won't let her... then the message ends. Then Ross yells "did she get off the plane?" and Rachel is standing at the door and says "I got off the plane". Loving embrace ensues and FINALLY Ross and Rachel are back together, a reunion nearly 7 years in the making. I actually shed a tear at that. The way the episode ended made me tear a bit too. All 6 friends leave their keys to Monica and Chandler's apartment on the table, then they all exit the room where they head off for coffee for the last time all together before Monica and Chandler move away. The camera pans through the empty apartment, all the way back to the front door and fades out on peep hole with the picture frame around it. I get goosebumps remembering that very last episode.
  8. Yes, it's the start of a pro Steeler posse. Boo-yah-kah!
  9. Say what you want, but Vick's team is going the NFC championship game while Manning's team went home. Plus, defense wins Super Bowls, and Indy sorely lacks in that department.
  10. No, you count. Two people isn't a posse, three or more is a posse. But it's a start.
  11. So much Steeler hate. At least during the NHL playoffs I had a Maple Leaf posse to back me up. Clawson, where ever you are, I demand you start cheering for the Steelers post haste.
  12. Yeah, Family Guy was funny, but it's kind of grown to annoy me.
  13. Acted as in sitcom, it helps if it's in front of a live studio audience that is really into the show. The only thing I hate about That 70's Show is the blatant laugh track they use. It's one of the reasons I was/still am obsessed with Friends, because the audience knows the characters so well and can anticipate a characters actions, which plays off very well on TV.
  14. Falcons vs. Eagles sounds interesting. Not sure who to pick. I thought Minnesota would have Philly's number today, but I was wrong. I'm looking forward to the Colts/Pats game. I'm taking the Pats to win, thought I'm hoping it's Colts. Steelers/Colts is my desired match up for next week. I'm 2-1 thus far, I need this game so I can make some cash back this week.
  15. Michael Irvin is the biggest douche. I can't stand him one bit on Countdown. I like Steve and Tom, but boy, I cannot stand Ivrin at all. Especially when he becomes a narrow minded assclown and doesn't listen to anybody else's input. Steve and Tom always try to support their opinions with valid points, but Irvin just rambles on about what he thinks is right whilst giving weak ass supporting points, if any supporting points at all. Plus, he talks like a fucking ape. His words come out all messed up and when he gets excited it's difficult to understand what the fuck he is talking about. Not that what he has to say is worth listening to anyways.
  16. I want to see a Minnesota/Atlanta game. I think that has shoot out written all over it. If the Steelers are destined to win the Super Bowl, I would like to see them beat Indy next week then Atlanta in the Super Bowl game. That would leave them 18-1 overall, with wins over New England, Philly, Indy, Atlanta, as well the backups taking out the red hot Buffalo Bills in their regular season finale, they'd have a Super Bowl under their belt, all with a rookie QB. Their season would be imortalized. Wishful thinking. In reality, I don't care who they play, as long as they win. They didn't look like the team they are yesterday, so they'll need to work to shut some mouthes up next week.
  17. Well, Pittsburgh has rode the average QB train since Slash was the starter in town. However, I think Ben will go on to be something, he is only a rookie, and though he is heavyly hyped, some would say overhyped, but he is still a good quarter back with noticable flaws. He is young, he has more than enough time to learn and I think he will turn into something big in the next 5 years. He isn't a Peyton Manning or Daunte Culpepper at the moment, but two amazing RB's in Duce and Bettis, receivers like Burress and Ward, and an amazing offensive line to protect him, they have the ability to make up for what Ben lacks (not to mention a kicker who makes field goals when they matter and a strong defense). He is their only real question mark on a powerhouse team. Ben has to lose sometime and he has shown he certainly isn't Superman, but with what he has to work with and the confidence of going 13 and 0, beating some great clubs along the way I think Pittsburgh can beat Indy or New England. Then again, they could just as easily lose. The best teams always carry some doubt in terms whether they can carry over their success into the post season, it comes with the territory of being #1 in the league. Then when they do stumble, in this case in before they do so, everyone is quick to criticize them. It's just the way things work. And all that weight is laying on the back of Ben, all of it. There are doubts and there are hopes, but I'll leave it up to fate to decide whether or not this is Pittsburgh's year or not. I'm going to sit back, observe, and more than anything, cheer for my team.
  18. I'm hoping for an Indy/Pittsburgh game, though either way it will be a test for both teams. Pittsburgh/Indy or New England/Pittsburgh sounds better on paper then any other possible game in the playoffs overall, except for New England/Indy which is going down tomorrow. I have doubts though....Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for the Steelers all the way, but I'm not sure if Big Ben is ready to face a team like New England in the playoffs. Hell, he didn't look too good against a tired, overworked, John Abraham-less New York Jets defense, I'm scared to think what would happen to him if they did end up playing the Pats.
  19. YEEEEEEEEESSSSS! That kick looked mighty iffy for a second, but thank God.... GO STEELERS, BABY! YEAH! I give all the credit in the world to the Jets, not only were they the big underdogs, but going into their third OT game straight and having the powerhouse Steelers on the rope is worth a round of applause for them. I didn't word that right, but I'm shaking because I'm so damn happy...
  20. I'm singing a song of praise for Alan Faneca.
  21. YES YES YES~! Big Ben has overtime to redeem himself.
  22. Where do you live, Philly? I'm a big Kimo fan. I remember two years ago in the playoffs against the Titans in Tennessee when he got rocked, flipped over in the air, landed on his head at a bad angle (well, there is no 'good' angle to fall on your head), his neck recoiled, and he did like a 180 or something like that. At least I think it was Kimo, the game was two years ago and the Steelers lost a heartbreaker (I tend to block our shit like that) so I don't remember... All I remember is... roughing the kicker... Bastard.
