  1. For me, my main one is Moist, a Canadian band that enjoyed a fair amount of popularity up North in their prime during the mid to late mid 90's (somebody from Canada back me up on this). I thought they were very talented and had a lot of kickass songs like Silver, Push, Leave it Alone, and Resurrection to name a few. They lost steam after the success of their second album, Creature (which I own) and then lead singer David Usher went on to do solo work, which was ok but not half as good as Moist was. It didn't have the edge or that kinda borderline dark feel that Moist had. Shame they left us so early, because they were one of my favorites. Now you go...
  2. Enter (Syracuse) Orange Fan... You can tell by my name which team I support.
  3. I found the path to the heavyweight title fight to be pretty easy. Up to the fight I was 36-0 with 36 KO's and only 3 fights going past the 6th round. Then I get to the heavyweight title fight and I face a guy who looks like Ivan Drago and he fucking overwhelmed me right off the bat. I go and try to assault the guy with body shots like I usually do. The first few rounds I usually go body shot combo, move back, dodge any shots my opponent throws and repeat until I weaken the opponent to just throw hard shots at my will and avoid most punches he throws, which works for me everytime. So I try that and the guy just throws hard haymaker after hard haymaker connecting every time fucking time. Usually I can get out the way of the haymaker's in time because you can see them coming a mile away. But this fucker had a huge reach advantage and I was like... what.. the... shit. He was making me his bitch. I try to get close and the fucker just unloaded on me. It was the first time I was on the defensive in any fight. Luckily, I avoided getting knocked down (in the first, he knocked me down in the second), but still, I got worked the first round. After that it was pure quick jabs, move back, try to lean away from the haymakers, and throw a weak combo when I see a good opening. He was controlling the pace of the fight and I was way out of my element. Finally, I wore him down enough to get in and throw hard shots, but even then I knocked him down like 8 times before I finally KO'd him in the 10th. He made my face look like ground beef. Swollen eyes, bloody mouth, but I finally put that fucker to sleep, asserting my rep as "The Sandman". Still, it was a war. It really did remind me of Rocky vs. Drago.
  4. I liked all the Rocky movies and I am one of the few people in the universe with a soft spot for Rocky V. Rocky IV was a pure popcorn flick and was good for what it was, two fights with a bunch of musical montages sandwiched in between. Rocky 3 was my favorite though. The original was clearly the best of the bunch, but 3 is the most fun to watch, IMO. Clubber Lang was just badass, with all his witty insults towards Rock-o and how he pretty much triggered Mickey's death. That scene in the locker room after the fight.. that's a tear jerker. Man, Clubber was a stone cold badass. Not only did he did he score an in ring knockout on Rocky, but he verbally KO'd him on a few occassions too. Plus, the opening 5 minutes to the movie were Eye Of The Tiger plays for the first time during the montage showing Rocky and Clubber fighting different opponents and shit like that, it gives me chills. The only wierd part is when Rocky and Apollo get all homo-tastic in the water at the beach. That was... kinda.... strange. Don't get me wrong, Apollo was badass too and he was my favorite character next to Rocky and Mickey, but Clubber was THE badass of the Rocky series.
  5. With a body like Selma Hayek's, I can make peace with the eyebrows.
  6. Damnit, I knew I should have tried reverse psychology instead.
  7. As a Rocky fan (even of Rocky V) I spit in Bluesman's generally direction. I already have a good idea of the plot, but I wasn't really expecting that initial swerve, especially right off the bat. Sounds interesting never the less and I am looking forward to it.
  8. I love this fucking move. I love it after Tommy kills Stacks (Samuel L. Jackson) how Tommy sarcastically tells Carbone to make some coffee and Carbone takes him seriously. I break out in laughter at that every time I watch the movie. And Paulie reminds me of my uncle so much it's scary. ...I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers....
  9. Yeah, that original Russell Peters act on Just For Laughs, the one that got him noticed, was killer. *Over exaggerated finger shake* Somebody gonna get a hurt reeeeeal bad! Still, Chris Rock is my favorite comedian. I bought his "Roll With The New" live (with a few skits thrown in) album years ago and I just have to listen to it once every few months. The Tossed Salad Man bit is hilarious. ... We don't need prayer in school, we need the Tossed Salad Man in school! "Jimmy, you got a 'D', you know what that means?" "NOOOOO! I DON'T WANNA TOSS THE SALAD! I'M GONNA READ, I'M GONNA LEARN TO READ!" .... Or N*ggers vs. Black People (censored for those who might have a problem with the 'N' word). That is possibly the funniest piece of stand up comedy I've heard in my life. .... ... You can't have shit when n*ggas around. Can't have no big screen TV... You can have it, but you better move it in a 3 in the morning, paint it white and hope n*ggas think it's a basinet! N*ggas who live next door to you will break into your house and come over the next day and say "heard ya got robbed".. N*gga, it was you! You ain't hearin' shit, 'cause you were doin shit! N*ggas love "not to know". Nothin makes a n*gga happier then to not know the answer to your question. You ask a n*gga "what's the capital of Zaire?"... "I dunno that shit, I'm keepin' it reeeal!"... N*ggas love to keep it real.. real dumb! N*ggas always take credit for shit they're supposed to do. A n*gga will brag about shit a normal man just does.. A n*gga will say "I take care of MY kids"... You're supposed to, you dumb mothafucka!... "pfft, I ain't neva been to jail".... What 'chu want, a cookie?!?... You're not supposed to go to jail, you low expectation having mothafucka! Typing quotes doesn't do the whole bit enough justice, it sounds 1000 times funnier coming out of Rock's mouth. For the record, I'm not racist, I just think the whole thing is hilarious, especially the way Rock says it.
  10. I picked this bad boy up at EB on the way home from school. I loved the shit out of the first one, besides the fact Roy Jones kicked my ass over and over again for a long time. The guy at the counter (who is the nicest guy in the mall) told me he loved this game and it was much better then the original. Since he hasn't let me down yet when dishing out advice, I bought it and am going to play it as soon as I wrap up this essay I'm doing. I am a boxing fanatic and love realism, the vision line up didn't bother me in the first game and the cut man deal in this one sounds pretty damn cool. I'm a sucker for realism. I'll post my thoughts on the game later.
  11. DNCORNHOLIO God mode for Duke Nukem 3D. CLOSE RANGE PIPE BOMBS = NO DAMAGE! HAHAHAHA! Ha..haha...ahem. I was young. I know that cheat. What is it?
  12. Actually, only Cole Sprouse played Ben in Friends. In the credits at the end of the shows he is on, it only says "Cole Sprouse as Ben". Now, before any pedo jokes come a flyin', I know that because I watch too much Friends and for that reason only. Ack.

  15. The music from the old school C.O.P.S. cartoon. "Fighting crime in a future time...DUN, DUN, DUN-NUN-NUN-NUN!"
  16. Meh, nothing special that many will care about, but news is news and it appeals to puro fans aswell. The battle of MMA vs. Puroresu
  17. The sad thing is me and my friend used draw Mega enemies we made up all the time. It was like, 10 years ago, but still. I made Hook Man, Cement Man, and Train Man and a bunch of other gay ass robots with stupid names. Nothing as bad as Optic Man or Steam Man, though.
  18. Takayama vs. Frye is an amazing brawl. They go right into it at the start, filling each other in, then Takayama actually takes Frye down and follows up by throwing a nice knee. The knee, as awkward as Takayama throws them, surprises and excites everyone, but Don recovers. The end came when both men where in the corner, Takayama tried to take Frye down again, but Don had none of that and landed on top of him and the TKO via strikes came soon after. Good brawl though. It ranks up there with Nog vs. Bob Sapp in terms of fights that were surprisingly amazing.
  19. April 23rd is the first round of the GP... the schedule for the next 4 events is as follows... 4/3 Yokohama Arena (Bushido 6) 4/23 Osaka Dome (Middleweight GP: Opening Round) 6/26 Saitama Super Arena (Middleweight GP: Quarter Finals) 8/28 Saitama Super Arena (Middleweight GP: Semi Finals and Finals) And I would love to somehow get to the multimedia section on the Japanese site, but I can't navigate it for shit. I wasn't sure if the actual music is there, but I do know they list the names of the songs and composers. I've been wanting to find Sakuraba's entrance music like forever, but can't. The only way I can listen to it is by playing PRIDE FC for PS2 and going through the music in create a fighter. Also, to the best of my knowledge, there are no plans to when the next Heavyweight GP will take place. Right now the Middleweight GP is in it's final stages of preparation and after that DSE/PRIDE will focus on the Lightweight GP, which is rumored to be co-promoted along with the SHOOTO MMA organization.
  20. You sonuvabitch YI, you stole my suggestion. I'll say it anyway - pick up Death By Stereo's Into The Valley Of Death. ←
  21. I didn't see FoF, but I kind of want to see Igor's KO on Takahashi because it was supposedly a highlight reel knockout. However, I will tune into the opening round of the Grand Prix, because that is going to be pure gold... that is if it comes off as good as its shaping up to be.
