  1. I had a soft spot for My Chemical Romance at first, but now I'm not really liking them. They're ok, nothing bad, but could live without them. Their lead singers voice makes me want to stick firecrackers in my ears. Three Days Grace... Not really a fan either. The only song I can stomach is their latest one, Wake Up, but all there other stuff sounds like carbon copy nu-metal. There are certain nu-metal groups who's music I love (Sevendust, Nonpoint, Adema), but the majority of nu-metal all sounds the same, save for a few bands. Three Days Grace, IMO, are just another one of those cookie cutter nu-metal groups.
  2. That's hot. More proof that Italians = hot. Most of them. Not the old, short, stalky women that force feed pasta down your throat. Also, Gwen Stefani better be on this list somewhere.
  3. Plus, Italians are far better looking. Speaking of Italians, Cristina Scabbia, singer from Lacuna Coil, better be on this list or I'm putting her in myself.
  4. Why are people saying No Doubt?!? As fan of them for nearly 10 years, I take seriously offense to that! I joke, I joke. But really, they're way too awesome to be considered weird. Tragic Kingdom > 98% of albums of there. Ever since GTA Vice City came out I've had a soft spot for 80's pop rock... well, mainly just the songs that were in the game. I just died in your arms tonight, must've been something you said... You do as Cutting Crew did before you!
  5. Isn't March Madness wonderful? So wonderful that you want to smack your head against something cold and hard.
  6. Damn.... I just HAD to change my pick to Alabama at the last minute. Oh well, I also switched to Pacific over Pitt. 5 for 8 so far. Not bad, but I'm majorly pissed I picked Alabama at literally the last goddamn second. F'n Crimson Tide. I mean, everbody was picking UW-M as the upset win of the first round, so I thought I'd pick Alabama for God knows what reason. I did a massive renovation of my picks. I mean MASSIVE! Gone are Gonzaga, Uconn, and Duke from my final four, and now Syracuse (my team dedication overcame me), UNC, and Wake Forest join OSU. I blame reading the analysis reports, those fucking things make you second guess yourself until you yank the hair out of your scalp! Every year I fall victim to the insight of the "experts". Luckly none of the the teams that have lost thus far were in any long terms plan in my bracket. Except for Niagara. I had them as this year's Cinderella story. Damnit! At least I didn't have 'Bama or UTEP going past the second round.
  7. True, I'm not really a big fan other either band. But Three Days Grace did release a single quite recently that did get a decent amount of airplay, in Canada at least. I know in Canada, NFG never really got much airplay to start with, but my buddy loves them and IIRC correctly they are in the middle of a big tour.
  8. Uh, thanks Tristy, but to the best of my knowledge, NFG or 3DG haven't broken up nor did they vanish. 3 Days Grace are coming off a successful debut and NFG are doing pretty well touring.
  9. I dunno about the other bands, but 3 Days Grace and New Found Glory didn't break up.
  10. Beastie Boys. Intergalatic, So Whatcha Want and... SABOTAGE... rank amongst my favorite videos of all time. Sabotage is top 5 for sure.
  11. I have very few upsets in my bracket right now. I mean, there HAS to be a few upsets, but it's difficult to predict the games that will deliver those upsets. I picked Niagara over OU and UW-M over Alabama. Those are my only real big upsets. I was tempted by the idea of picking Old Dominion over MSU, like Assassin did, decided against it. LA Lafayette is a favorite amongst some people to upset Louisville, but I dunno, I have a good feeling about Louisville. I think it's best I focus more on a few tough 8 vs. 9 and 7 vs. 10 games than the potential HUGE upsets.
  12. My first round predictions broken down by region. Chicago Illinois over Fairleigh Dickinson Texas over Nevada [uW Milwaukee over Alabama Boston College over Pennsylvania LSU over UAB Arizona over Utah St. St. Mary's over Southern Ill. OSU over SE Louisiana Albuquerque Washington over Montana Pitt. over Pacific Georgia Tech over Geo. Washington Louisville over LA Lafayette Texas Tech over UCLA Gonzaga over Winthrop Creighton over West Virginia Wake Forest over Chattanooga Syracuse UNC over Oakland/Ala. A&M Minnesota over Iowa St. Villanova over New Mexico Florida over Ohio Wisconsin over Northern Iowa Kansas over Bucknell NC State over Charlotte UConn over UCF Austin Duke over Delaware St. Miss. St. over Stanford Michigan St. over Old Dominion Syracuse over Vermont Utah over UTEP Niagara over Oklahoma Cincinatti over Iowa Kentucky over Eastern Kentucky Pretty standard first round, but I'm still in the middle of the second guessing stage, so these predictions may change. I'm still flip-flopping on some match ups.
  13. Does Rocky vs. Apollo Creed from Rocky count as a fight scene? If so, that's mine. If not, then Frank Dux (Jean Claude Van Damme) vs. Chong Li from Bloodsport, foo'! EDIT: SHIT! How could I forget Bruce Lee vs. an army of hencmen from Enter The Dragon. That was awesome. He tossed those fuckers around like they were nothing.
  14. Final Four predictions? I got OSU, Gonzaga, UConn, and Duke, with Duke going over Oklahoma State in the finals. My darkhorse, or Cinderella story if you weeeeeel, is Niagara. I went out on a limb and picked them upsetting the Sooners, than going over Utah, before finally losing to Kentucky in the Sweet 16. I think Niagara forward Juan Mendez will turn a some heads in this tourney and the Purple Eagles will surprise a few people. Most underrated team in the tournament, IMO.
  15. 49... Thomson vs. Edwards is a nice little contest has a killer ending, the first half of Karo vs. Diaz is really good, Liddell vs. Tiger is a great slugfest for what it's worth, Riggs vs. Doerksen is ok, Belfort vs. Couture is actually a fight, unlike their UFC 46 fiasco. The undercard of UFC 46 is good, but Sims vs. Mir wasn't anything special, Couture vs. Belfort was a ripoff, Hughes vs. BJ is good if you enjoy groundwork, same with Newton vs. Charuto. In this case, the prelim fights are where it's at. 45 is ok. Lytle vs. Lawler is pretty good, Tanner vs. Baroni is interesting, Tank vs. Cabbage is a decent brawl, Lindland vs. Niko is fun to watch because of the self KO, Hughes vs. Trigg is good for it's length. My verdict is 49.
  16. I'm a huge RATM fan, but I wouldn't consider their break up to be anything criminal. While I do wish they would have kept it going, they had a good run while it lasted.
