  1. There are quite a few good drums performances in various Rush songs. Neil Peart is just amazing. In my opinion, one of the greatest drummers of all time.

  3. I still think Babalu is the only guy they can put up against Chuck as a worthy contender right now. It's too soon for one of the TUF winners to get a title shot, even though Forrest vs. Chuck would make for a nice little teacher vs. student kind of fight. I think it was best that Rich Franklin decided to go back to 185, but his presence in the Light Heavyweight would have been made the division deeper. The LHW is the most marketable division but it's seriously lacking depth. You've got four big stars, Liddell, Randy, Vitor, and Tito (if he resigns, which he should and will), but no supporting fighters. They could maybe try to bring a few Middleweights up a weight class, you have Babalu already, Stephan Bonnar and Forrest Griffen could add something if they prove themselves in a few fights first, they already have some name value. Middleweight is deep enough already to give a few fighters away. I mean Evan Tanner, Rich Franklin, Robbie Lawler, David Terrell, Matt Lindland, Ivan Salaverry, Lee Murray, Joe Doerksen, and David Loiseau. A few of those guys could pass as Light Heavyweights.
  4. Leben would get wrecked by Tanner. So would Diego. So would any fighter in TUF, unless they got lucky. Leben couldn't put the "stamp down" on Tanner, even on Tanner's bad day. Evan would knee his head off into the front row.
  5. Rumor has it (I can't stress the word "rumor" enough) that we MIGHT see Sam Hoger vs. Stephan Bonnar at UFC 53. Take that with the tiniest grain of salt.
  6. What, no "The Devil in Miss Jones"? What kind of list is this?
  7. It's not Red and Meth, but Redman's Time 4 Sum Aksion is fucking awesome. And if you haven't heard Da Rockwilder... You're messed.
  8. Strutter by KISS One of their more underrated tunes. I think.
  9. 1. BYOB - System of a Down 2. Beverly Hills - Weezer 3. Number One Spot - Ludacris 4. Cigaro - System of a Down 5. The Hand That Feeds - Nine Inch Nails 6. Be Yourself - Audioslave 7. Little Sister - Queens of the Stone Age 8. Why Do You Love Me - Garbage That's all I can think of right now.
  10. The Welterweight division is pretty deep right now. With guys like Matt Hughes, Frank Trigg, Georges St. Pierre, Karo Parisyan, Nick Diaz, Charuto Verissimo, Chris Lytle, and the chance of BJ Penn coming back the possibilities are endless. Right now I think St. Pierre deserves a shot at the belt, then after that the winner of a Diaz vs. Karo rematch should get the next shot. I'd love to see BJ come back though. I'm not a fan of his, but he is without a doubt one of the best pound for pound fighters today, if not the best. His only recent loss, which happened to be his most recent fight, was to Ryoto Machida aka Lyoto, a tough Brazilian who is getting a lot of praise in Japan under K-1's MMA division. Lyoto, who is the only man to get the better of Rich "Ace" Franklin, is a heavyweight while BJ was fighting as a Middleweight by UFC restrictions. Lyoto fought at 215-220 outweighed Penn who fought at 180. Even though Penn lost, he took the heavier, stronger, very talented Machida to the limit where Lyoto got the JD. That's impressive, regardless if it is a loss or not. Besides that loss he has wins over the previously undefeated Rodrigo Gracie, Duane "Bang" Ludwig, Matt Hughes, Caol Uno, Matt Serra, and won a war against the extremely dangerous Takanori Gomi in what was said to be the best fight of 2003. Penn is a fucking machine and even though I don't really like him he's one of the best out there today, hands down. Hopefully we'll see him in the UFC again getting a chance to win back the title he never lost.
  11. Ultimate Knockouts are a good buy, especially if you don't have the cash to buy a bunch of events some of which are impossible to find. Anything before UFC 40 is hard to find anywhere besides the net and I believe the only started putting events on DVD at UFC 38 or 39. Also, the Ultimate Hits Vol. 1 and 2 DVDs showcase a shit load of the older UFC bouts, some in whole, some clipped. Good buy, especially Hits 1, for those who grew up watching the old school UFC. Vol. 1 is from UFC 1 to 16 and Vol. 2 is from UFC 17 to 23.
  12. UFC 40: Vendetta UFC 43: Meltdown UFC 47: It's On UFC 49: Unfinished Business
  13. Depending on how well Vitor does in the Grand Prix he could be contender for the LHW belt. It would be nice to see somebody different in the LHW title picture for once. Like I just said, Babalu would be interesting in a rematch with Chuck. If Belfort does well in the GP, I could see him coming back as a contender for sure, but he could be involved in the tourney for up to 3 events if he goes far enough.
  14. Justin Eilers is tough fighter and should be taken seriously. I think Andrei will take the fight, but the last thing he should do is look past him. Franklin vs. Tanner is the fight I want to see more than anything. I think Tanner will take him, but it's another toss up. I'm still in shock after Chuck KO'd Randy. I didn't think it would actually happen and when I saw it I just went apeshit. Classic. Chuck's long quest for that title finally ends in success. Good for him, he deserves it. A rematch between Babalu and Liddell would be interesting now. Not sure where Randy goes from here though. I also think Georges St. Pierre deserves a rematch against Matt Hughes. I mean, the Welterweight division has some other great contenders in it with Karo Parysian, Nick Diaz, and Charuto Verissimo, but I believe that St. Pierre deserves another shot, considering how even the fight was until the sudden armbar by Hughes in the dying seconds. There is even cause to argue that Georges would have won the round if it weren't for that armbar. Georges should get that next title shot. If Trigg can get another after his first loss to Hughes, then St. Pierre sure as hell deserves another.
  15. Chuck Liddell over Randy Couture by KNOCK THE FUCK OUT! in the FIRST FUCKING ROUND! (HOLY SHIT! I PREDICTED IT RIGHT! Oh my God.. I'm going nuts here... And for the record, that's the second time Hughes has made Trigg tap to a rear naked choke in the 1st round.)
  18. Matt Lindland over Travis Lutter by submission (guillotine choke) in the 2nd round (that was, uh, a little less than exciting... Still, good takedowns by Lindland, good ground n' pound, nice overall control by Matt. Your basic run of the mill Matt Lindland fight.)
  19. Georges St. Pierre over Jason Miller by unanimous judges decision after 3rds (very good contest, St. Pierre looked hella impressive. Sub attempts by Georges, equally good sub defense by Miller.. Great fight... St. Pierre is the future! Marks out for St. Pierre backflip!)

  21. Live prelim coverage... Mike Van Arsdale over John Marsh by unanimous decision after 3 rounds (Mike won 2 of the 3 rounds clearly) Joe Doerksen over Patrick Cote by submission (rear naked choke) in the 3rd round (Joe won the 1st, Cote dominated the rest of the fight up to the choke where he lost it) Ivan Salaverry over Joe Riggs by submission (triangle armbar) in the 1st round (the triangle came after a big head kick from Ivan) Attendence was said be very high for the prelims, approx 8,000... That's pretty packed for the prelim fights.
