  1. Yeah, hoping Pittsburgh plays with six defensemen, but even then, if they can't get by the lowly Sabres, then this team needs some serious shaking up outside the core. Hoping they make the playoffs, but man, no Letang for the rest of the season, it's gonna be hard for them to go far.
  2. Good lord, this Penguins team is just horrible. I won't be surprised if they lose to Buffalo tomorrow.
  3. Yeah, if they lose both their next two in OT, yeah, they'll have 98 points and push Boston or Ottawa out depending on how they do. Hopefully Pittsburgh finds a way to beat the Islanders tomorrow or atleast get a point and then beat Buffalo on Saturday. Nervous about tomorrow's game, the Islanders have owned the Pens this season, and now they're playing a pretty battered Pittsburgh team.
  4. Rangers will be without Staal, Zuccarello and Nash, so I won't be shocked at a Sens win. Boston also has Florida tonight, so if both teams win and Pittsburgh loses tomorrow, then it's all but over for Pittsburgh. Hopefully Detroit, Boston and Ottawa lose just to keep things a bit more interesting.
  5. I want them to atleast make it in, but yeah, if they do, I'm expecting a quick exit, and this one will definitely not be on Fleury, the guy has stolen them a bunch of games this year and could have won them a few more if they hadn't self destructed.
  6. This is just pathetic. Now they play the Islanders who have owned them, while the Sens are red hot. If Pittsburgh can't win the next two and the Senators do, that's it. Fucking ridiculous, Johnston is useless, say what you want about injuries, but Bylsma had his share last year and they owned their division. Hell, he got them into the playoffs without Crosby and Malkin a few years back.
  7. Holy shit this Pittsburgh team is playing horribly. Now there's a real chance they miss the playoffs. Bylsma had to go, but for all his failures, he atleast got them to the playoffs comfortably.
  8. That is just....We've been there and done that and it wasn't great the first time! And Despres was playing pretty well with Scuderi of all people.
  9. I agree that Pittsburgh needs to do whatever they can to win now, I haven't watched many Leafs games this year, so don't know much about him. But if it helps our bottom six, I'm happy. Just seems like alot of Pittsburgh fans aren't happy about giving up a pick.
  10. I think a 2nd is a bit much, alot of Pens fans aren't too happy about that. Just saw that Toronto is retaining half his salary too.
  11. I can see it happening, but I think it will cost too much, I really don't wanna give up too many prospects and then with the cap, it'll be a guarantee that they won't be able to keep Martin or Ehrhoff. Depends how bad GMJR wants him in Pittsburgh.
  12. So, it seems Pittsburgh is interested in bringing back Staal and he seems interested in returning. I would be all for him returning, but I can't see it coming cheaply.

You can also get your AI to do it so you don't gotta do it yourself. Just make sure you pay attention for when your AI pulls out your goalie, had a few empty netters scored on me cause I didn't know my goalie went to the bench.
  14. Pens don't really have issues with defense, they're not scoring goals, which is what got them eliminated the last two years. yeah definitely not from having games with Philly that reached over 10 goals combined multiple times in a series Not really here for an argument but I don't really think Pittsburgh giving up 3 or more goals in the playoffs on average against teams like Columbus, the Islanders and Philly to be a stout defense. Just my opinion lol. I meant the Boston series and the Rangers series. Yeah, the Philly series was a mess, and they had won against the Islanders and CBJ after a few scares, but the last two years came down to not getting goals.

  16. I'm actually shocked that the Bruins are doing this bad. It's gonna be a wild end for that last playoff spot, Florida isn't far behind them, and the Flyers can always get hot.
  17. Bylsma had more injuries last year and they owned their division all year, hell, they were first in the conference till they came back from the Olympics where everyone came back playing badly. Johnston had injuries too, but the line up is pretty healthy as of late, and they're still playing horribly.
  18. Jesus Christ, if it wasn't for Fleury, Pittsburgh would be getting killed in some of these games. I can't believe they have been this bad lately, and tonight's game was another one where they couldn't beat a division opponent. I wasn't expecting Pittsburgh to have the same kind of regular season success they had under Bylsma, but this is just horrible right now. I can see Johnston getting fired if Pittsburgh gets eliminated in the first, or if they lose in some embarrassing fashion. As bad as Bylsma was, and he totally deserved to be fired, at least under him the Penguins didn't look this bad, hell, he did more with less last year.
  19. Finally they're showing brilliance after so many less than spectacular games over the last month - month and a half. Yeah, I'm hoping they keep it up and keep playing this way, especially against their division.
