Man, the Pens really fell apart in the third period tonight. I didn't catch the first two periods but got up about halfway through the third and the fact they couldn't seem to score really took them out of their game.
They really only played well for the first half of the first period. Fleury really bailed them out, cause it could have been 6-0 if it wasn't for Fleury. I'm kinda concerned the Pens are getting their asses handed to them by divisional teams, but there's still a lot of time left in the season.
-
They also said Emery assaulting Holtby last year was what turned their season around. So it's not surprising Rinaldo would say that.Yeah, I changed the whole game, man. [Expletive], who knows what the game would have been like if I didnt do what I did?
Just a total jackass all around.

Letang gets injured by a ridiculous hit from Rinaldo and no one responds by running over one of the Flyers star players? Seriously beginning to miss Cooke and Neal. Not saying to injure anyone, but show something, Penguins.
-
They have, I seriously don't want Pittsburgh getting them in the first round. I'd rather get the Caps and then let the Islanders and Rangers play each other, with the Rangers hopefully winning.Islanders have been so fun to watch this year.
-
Pittsburgh is just playing horribly today ugh.
-
Islanders are scary good right now, didn't help that Downie took a dumb ass penalty when they were down by one. But atleast Crosby's scoring againDamn you Pens, can't you find a way to beat the Islanders?
-
Pittsburgh desperately needed a winger, glad that they got Perron. Interesting that they still have the option of trading Martin for a winger too, since Dupuis is gonna be out for awhile.
-
Meant to say last playoffs. Doh! Gotta say, that was a crazy game last night, glad JR signed Downie, he might not be Matt Cooke, but it's good to have someone step up to protect the top guys.this year? It's not even the all-star game and you are already forgiving him for collapsing in the playoffs?
-
That was last year after the meltdown in the Islanders series, guess the new goalie coach and the shrink worked well considering he can't be blamed for the Pens playoff collapse this year.I heard he went to a sports psychologist in the off season.
-
Fleury got his 6th shutout of the season, maybe a new coach and system was what he needed. Of course, he needs these types of performances in the playoffs. Still, hell of a game last night, Colorado's backup goalie played amazingly.
-
Yeah, and it's the fourth shorty this year. Maybe put two dmen on the powerplay and move either Kunitz or Hornqvist to the second unit?Awesome. Short handed goal hurts though. That shouldn't be happening to the top Power Play team in the league. PENS! PENS! PENS!

Blake FN Comeau with a hat trick! And Crosby gets his 800th point
-
Which one? Bergeron's was in because of a high stick and Lucic's didn't count because it went off someone's hand. Though, I dunno why they didn't call interference since he ran over Fleury.Especially when they shouldn't have. One of those recalled goals was definitely a goal. I mean, I'll take it but Boston basically got robbed in that game.
-
300 wins for Fleury! And the Pens beat Boston in 32 seconds in overtime! Really great game, glad Pittsburgh pulled this one off, especially after their bad games against the Islanders.
-
FUCK! Dupuis is out for the rest of the season with a blood clot. All the best to him, but God damn, what horrible luck for the Pens in the last couple years as far as this type of stuff goes.
Here's hoping JR is able to get someone to play with Crosby and Kunitz that's better than what we had with Gibbons or Stempniak last year.
-
Man, Montreal did not show up to play tonight. Awesome of the Pens third line to score three goals, plus one from Crosby. Shut out #4 for Fleury too
-
Dupuis is out for tonight's game, but Maataa is coming back!
-
God damn, what a game. Both Fleury and Lundqvist were amazing tonight. Glad the Pens got even with NY, cannot wait till Tuesday for Montreal.
-
Greiss was awesome last night. I know he's only had three games as a Penguin, but the Minnesota and last night's game were games that he stole for Pittsburgh.
I definitely wanna see him get some more starts, and if he continues playing really well, I'm not so worried about the playoffs incase Fleury melts down.
-
I missed the game so I gotta look up the disallowed goal, I remember Minnesota had one against Pittsburgh that didn't count because Greiss had a player knocked into him. But it took a long time for them to make the call.Fleur
He was good. They nearly scored the first goal, but glass swept the puck out before crossing the line. That might have changed the game.
I missed the game, but from everything I read, it seems like they just played flat the whole game with the exception of Fleury?Well, that wasn't the Penguins I expected to see. All the goals that went in (5/6 - even counting the disallowed goal), there wasn't much Fleury could do.
I still don't understand the disallowed goal. It was a good goal, waved off after the puck crossed the line, and after going to Toronto, the response was "Goalies was unable to do his job." Is that a statement Toronto made, or the refs... it's horrible either way. What the hell does that even mean? I think every goal that goes in is because the goalie was unable to do his job. But Fleury was never touched by the Rangers.
-
The only games I missed this year were last night's and the Red Wings game, both crappy losses too. Though, I think I would have been more upset at them blowing a 3-1 lead against DetroitIt was really bad. They couldn't seem to put anything together. They played a nice run and gun game early on that I thought was going to be to their advantage but they just couldn't seem to put anything past Lundqvist. It seems to happen every time I get a chance to watch a game. I think I might be the reason

Yep, I get that they probably couldn't come up with another starter, but this is way too early to sign him. And they gave him a limited trade clause too.A nice win and then they go and do something stupid like signing Fleury for 4 more years at 5.75m per year.
I had a feeling they were gonna keep him, and I was expecting a 3-4 year thing at minimum, but this is way too early. Now we just have to hope for the best.

Pens win their fifth straight, Greiss had a hell of a game, too bad the Penguins shut out streak ended cause of a short handed goal.

Penguins are owning the Red Wings so far, glad to have Comeau back.
