So Chicago's winning the cup again, right?
-
How's Malkin looking? Cause if it's anything like he was in the playoffs, then he's definitely injured.I meant to mention this earlier but all the talk about Malkin and his "injury" and yet he's on the ice for Russia in the IIHF Worlds.
Also, in NHL talk, am I the only one who thinks this seems to be the most lopsided second round we've had in playoff hockey for awhile?
-
On the last episode of Daredevil, just gotta say that Vincent D'Onofrio is just awesome as Kingpin. I loved him in Law & Order, but I never thought he could have pulled off Kingpin. I think this is seriously my favorite comic book show going on right now, as much as a I love Arrow and The Flash, Daredevil has just been amazing.

I'm not convinced that Malkin is all that injured. He's shown that he's able to pick up his game. He just seems to do it when it's too late. He reminds me a lot of a guy like Alexei Yashin. All the talent in the world but plays very lazy a lot of the time.
He's been able to pick it up a bit, but you can tell he's playing through something. He was hurt a few times before the season ended and rushed back to push them for the playoffs, but just looking at him you can tell he's playing through injuries, just like Crosby a year ago.
-
Malkin played badly cause he's obviously injured. Fleury was amazing, shame his best playoff performance in years was with a team missing five of their top six defensemen. And I doubt many teams would have found a way to win without five of their top five defensemen.
Ugh can't believe the Pens wasted a first round pick on Perron cause he's been horrible outside his first few games with the Penguins.
-
Ugh what a shitty way for Pittsburgh to go out. Man, this could have been their series if they hadn't had so many injuries. Congrats to the Rangers, but this is just some horrible luck. I hope Shane Doan gets Matt Cooked by someone for what he did to Letang.

Damn, that was heart breaking to watch.http://www.theplayerstribune.com/nhl-daniel-carcillo-steve-montador-video/
Stuff like this is hard to watch.

I unfortunately think they are. Three of the top defensemen are out, Malkin is obviously hurt, Dupuis is also out, Crosby's line can only do so much. It's a shame cause MJ has been a good coach in this series and MAF has been amazing, and if healthy, I truly think they would be beating the Rangers. It was not my night in the hockey world tonight. I expected the Habs to take out Ottawa and was hoping that the Pens could tie the series. Neither happened. I fear the Pens are done for this year.
-
Fuck! This team just can't win in OT.
-
Frustrating game, especially since the Rangers get away with a clear penalty that lead to the second goal. But Pittsburgh didn't do themselves any favors with a really average first period. Here's hoping they come out in game 4 like they did in game 2.
-
Yeah, that tripping penalty was ridiculous, gotta agree there. I wouldn't worry about the Rangers PP, it seemed dead for the first five games against the Pens last year, and then it came back to win them some games.
I think the issue is Penguins are spending some much time on the PK, they're not getting a lot of chances for the Rangers to take penalties...which actually might be better because every time Rangers get some momentum they end up with a power play that completely takes all their momentum away. With that said, the Penguins did score 2 powerplay goals on very questionable penalties, especially the one where a player was tripped by a ghost.Pens tie the series up! Excellent game from them, but geez, the officiating is just downright horrible in this series. Pittsburgh definitely deserved their penalties, but the Rangers seem to get away with a ton of shit.
As for penalties not being called, Haglin pretty much running over Crosby with a shot to the head should have been called.

Missed the game, but was Crawford bad? I saw the score, but was wondering if he was playing horribly.Chicago stunk it up tonight.
-
Isn't Toronto still expecting Babcock to go there?Bylsma to Toronto. That's what I've been figuring since they fired their coach this year.
-
Flyers fired their coach, Bylsma to Philly?
-
They were definitely on their heels after that first goal. I was honestly expecting a blow out once all the penalties started, but the PK and Fleury definitely did a good job.
I don't know why the game plan wasn't just to come out and play hard. Rangers are one of the few teams that don't really engage in trash talking...well, since Avery left. I'm sure their mindset changed a bit after the first goal was scored so early, but they played a first period where they could have been penalized even more.
They're definitely missing Letang. They were just horrible in the first, been much better since then, but definitely nothing special.Pens transition game sucks tonight. They just feel so sluggish compared to what they were a couple years ago. It's like it takes them two or three more moves to get it out of their zone when it used to be so smooth.
They need to come out for game two like they came out for the last two periods. Not expecting a series win here considering how depleted this team is on defense, but they can still atleast force six games.
-
Definitely loved the finale, I'm glad with the way it ended and what happened with all the major characters.

Fleury is by far Pittsburgh's best player tonight, they just need someone else to step it up and tie this thing up
-
Geez, Subban gets a game misconduct for a slash? That's pretty horrible officiating that could have cost Montreal the game.

Surprised the Bruins didn't fire Julien either, maybe the new GM will do it.
-
I think it could end as soon as the first round, but I got them beating Montreal and then getting beat by Tampa. Wouldn't shock me if Ottawa got eliminated in ugly fashion. So am I the only one that thinks Hammond's miracle run is going to end once they hit the playoffs?
-
My finals are the Wild beating the Lightning in seven.
My prediction for upsets are hopefully the Pens beating the Rangers and Ottawa beating Montreal.
-
Yeah, no Letang is gonna be rough, especially if Ehrhoff isn't ready either. Just hoping for a good effort from them.If they had lost to Buffalo I'd have been pissed. Not sure how they're going to fare against the Rangers though. It's going to be a rough one.

I think NY will beat Washington, but I would like a Tampa/Washington series more than Tampa/NY. Either way, whoever wins in the East is losing to Chicago.
