Loved STP since I was 14, one of the first bands I got into and they're still one of my favorites. Shame he had a lot of demons, because he was very talented. RIP, Scott.

Which ironically is what they did do for Die Hard 3 yet it still remained wonderful. I love Die Hard 3...
I do too, other than the original, it's my favorite one. I also really liked 4 for what it was, a big crazy action movie with the Die Hard name on it. Only one I hate is 5 and 2 is alright.

I liked Spectre, wasn't blown away by it or anything, but had enough fun with it, but yeah, it does drag and the villains are pretty weak. Definitely not as good as Skyfall or Casino Royale, but still miles ahead of Quantum or any Brosnan film that wasn't Goldeneye.

It's still early, I'm not saying Columbus is going to the playoffs, but eventually the teams in their division will struggle and they can sneak in there.
Pittsburgh got a win last night, but holy fuck they are playing so bad right now. MAF is the only reason this team isn't 0-8 right now. They need to start scoring, especially on the powerplay. I'm glad to see Dupuis back though, guy looks awesome out there, especially considering all the time he missed.

Wtf Pittsburgh?! 0-3 seriously?!

Pens signed Cullen. His age is showing, but he still puts up decent points per game for a 38, soon to be 39 year old. I see him being scratched some games, but not a bad signing.
Once Fehr gets healthy and Bonino goes down to 4C, I can see them scratching him. But he's much better than the last few guys they have used in that position over the years.

Damn, the Penguins just got a lot better, what the hell was Vancouver thinking in accepting that deal?

Doumellin is a good choice, I kinda wish they would have kept Chorney, he was pretty solid for them this year too. Yeah, Despres for Lovejoy was a bad trade, especially if Lovejoy/Scuderi end up as the third pairing.
Pittsburgh definitely does need another defensemen. Looking over the roster there's Letang, Maataa, Pouliott, Lovejoy, Scuderi (ugh) and Cole as the guys that will probably be starting the season. It's nice the young guys will get a chance to play more, and Cole's been solid, but missing Paul Martin is gonna hurt. Really wish they'd find a way to move Scuderi and sign someone better.
Oh I mean, I get that Kessel can perform better and I think Pittsburgh will be a better environment for him. I don't really know if having Kessel puts Pittsburgh in a better position. I would have thought they would strengthen their defense. They think putting him with Sid and Malkin will light a fire under his ass. They needed to do something, since they've kind of shit the bed the last few years in the playoffs.
I'll be glad to have Maata back but they never should have resigned Lovejoy. Is there anybody down in the AHL that could come up and do well? I don't follow the juniors all that close.

Pens also sign Plotnikov from the KHL to a entry level deal. Hopefully he impresses.

Atleast the Leafs got Spaling instead of Scuderi, which was the contract Pittsburgh wanted to give up.Kessel, Tyler Biggs, Tim Erixon and 2nd in 2016 for Kapanen, Harrington, Spaling, 1st and 3rd picks in 2016. TOR retains $1.25M/year.
This is the full trade. Ugly.
Just....kill me. Fuck.
The off season was going so great, too.

Impressed Pittsburgh didn't have to give up Maatta or Pouliott.
Paul Martin is headed to SJ, definitely gonna miss him, but it was pretty much guaranteed they wouldn't have been able to keep him.

No reports on the deal other than Toronto paying for 15% of the salary and rumors of Spaling, Kapanen and maybe Pouliott being involved in the trade.Kessel to Pens. It;s done. Fuck me,.
Nevermind Toronto gets Harrington, Kapanen and a draft pick.

My preview for the next episode makes it seem like Ray is still alive, the theory about rubber bullets seems pretty good if that's the case.

Which kinda shocked me when GMJR didn't sign Fleury to that kind of deal.
he is an albatross of a contract.
I didn't really follow the NHL last year, but what happened to Cam Ward in Carolina? I was under the impression he was actually good. What is Jim Benning doing?
Eddie Lack goes to Carolina, and the return is a 3rd and a 7th.
Robin Lehner, who I would argue is not as strong or ready to carry a team, fetches Ottawa a 1st.

Never! Geno must stay in Pittsburgh!Do you know who would do great playing with Malkin? Another team!
-
Pittsburgh is apparently trading Sutter for a top six winger to play with Malkin. No idea on who they're targeting but if they do move Sutter I'm interested in seeing who they're gonna get as a center for the third line.
-
Been reading that the Leafs want to trade Kessel, one of the trades I saw listed was Carolina giving a first round pick and Semin for Kessel.
-
I don't have anything against either team, but I wanna see Morrow win the cup, so I'm hoping Tampa wins it.
-
Looks like Bylsma is close to signing with Buffalo. Kinda interested to see how he can handle a team without the talent level he's had in Pittsburgh.

I totally forgot about every Jean Claude van Damme movie
Yes. I'm with you there. All those action movies with van Damme, Seagal, Stallone, etc. from the 80s and 90s are stellar.
Here's a gift for you, Larz.
OMG thank you! That totally made my day

Caps had the puck in the Rangers zone for like 10 minutes in that OT and couldn't get it done. That was a hell of a game though.
I definitely thought they were going to win it when they were putting the pressure on NY. I kinda feel bad for Ovi now, just seeing his reaction from the bench was kinda sad. Tampa/NY should be interesting, going with Rangers in six, but I'm still picking Chicago to win the cup again.

Atleast the Penguins aren't the only ones who blew a 3-1 lead to the Rangers

Pittsburgh is just bad this year, they're definitely missing something, and it's astonishing that a team with that much fire power can't score more. Heard that Johnston is in the hot seat, but dunno who can coach this team right now. Thank God for Fleury and Malkin, or we'd be worse off.
