  1. No on the snuka deal. Three years ago at wm 25 he couldnt even walking to the ringproperly, let alone wrestle at all. I doubt hegit bettervin the last three years. I would not havehim at morethan 16 brawl.
  2. ROH may be more well known in the USA and probably Canada too but AAA and CMLL have benn fetured in Canada (not sure about the States though) and I still think they should both be at a national level and higher than ROH who I still maintain is a Cult sized promotion.
  3. Agreed with Red on thisone. Plus arent those two companies at war in mexico? Isnt it soe sort of rivalry? Like because AAA are working with TNA not CMLL workers are permittedto work with them.
  4. ROH run shows in the UK, or at least usedto, they should be global. Shimmer sell theirtapes all over the world, they should be changed to global as their resch is international. CZW has a tv show broadcast in europe and has held shows there in the past, as well as japan, they should be global. WSU have their ippvs which are accessible around the globe, they should be a global promotion aswell. The whole argument abot if they are broadcast in a different country they should be global is stupid. The fact is WWE is the ONLY true global company right now. TNA is the only american national company, though I can easily see AAA & CMLL as low level nationals. ROH should be a cult promotion, no higher, regardless of what happens when you start the game. Once the game starts it is just that... A game.
  5. This. Glitch or not, it doesnt make sense to raise them up to prevent something in a fictional game that you started. The update is suppose to reflect what is going on before you start your game, not what we an do to prevent something i dont want to see happening later once i start the game. By your logic, we just cut out every developmenal wrestler, staff member under 80 alent and roster under 65 overness because WWE always cuts them when you start as some other promotion. It does not make sense to do that does it? So why raise roh and tna to somethinghey arent just so they do not grow? Let them grow, thats part of the game, or update them yourself.
  6. TNA should be National. They are not a Global company. I would put TNA at National 80; and ROH at Cult 80.
  7. 3 months ago I would have completely agreed to this. But, the fact is he is not a face. A face doesn't talk shit about his opponent the way Cena did vs the Rock Actually, a lot of faces talk shit. James Storm, Mr. Anderson, The Rock himself, Steve Austin, and CM Punk to name a few off the top of my head. People complain for years that Cena doesn't have a controversial bone in his body, and when he showed the slightest hint of doing some anti-hero stuff or reverting to the rap gimmick for a promo, people suddenly think he's a tweener or heel. Weird. Cena's been getting booed in a lot of arenas for a number of years. Hogan was getting the same reaction in the early to mid 90s before his heel turn. The Rock himself got the same reaction as Rocky Maivia when he was a cheesy babyface. I don't have a way to go back and rewatch the match legally, and it's not the end of the story. He did nothing that The Rock didn't do back. You're confusing "booking" with "crowd reaction". Someone can be booked as one thing and received as another. Look at Steve Austin - he was booked forever as a heel despite getting cheered. Same could be said about a lot of guys. It's just, in most cases, wrestling promotions aren't stubborn enough (or committed enough, depending on your perspective) to keep a guy a babyface if he's been booed off and on for years. Cena was booed louder at One Night Stand 2006 against Rob Van Dam, and his actions were way closer to being heelish or tweenerish than they are now. But guess what? He was a face then. He was kept as a face in the game. Up to the few weeks before his match with The Rock and the crowd reaction for him against Rock and Brock, he was DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY a clear cut babyface - case in point, his entire feud with Kane. It was about him refusing to "embrace the hate." He rose above it. He continues to rise above it. A heel isn't going to wear a t-shirt that says "Rise Above Hate". A heel isn't going to cut the promo Cena did on RAW, where he said The Rock was the better man and he wanted to congratulate him in person and wasn't "calling him out". Regardless of Lesnar running in - and I want to add as a sidebar, whether he's a heel or face, the fact that he was returning was so shocking and full of hype that he was going to be cheered regardless, just like Jericho's return despite being a heel - and the crowd reaction, Cena is still a face. He even went to shake Lesnar's hand before getting F5'd. And tweeners don't work well in the game. It's not like real wrestling where you can have a guy in the gray area. I disagree... Yes he rose above hate against Kane, a heel; but against The Rock he embraced it 100%. And I am not saying The Rock was face either, I think both of these guys were being booked as tweeners purposly. WWE wanted us to decide who we liked and who we didn't thats why both acted heelish at times and facy others. In all honnesty, whether he is changed or not won't affect me in the least, worse comes to worse I switch him myself... who cares, but I'm just throwing it out there that he seems much more as a clear cut tweener now than before.
  8. 3 months ago I would have completely agreed to this. But, the fact is he is not a face. A face doesn't talk shit about his opponent the way Cena did vs the Rock; a face doesn't get booed to no end my an entire arena. Go back and watch the WM match and tell me honnestly that Cena was booked to wrestle as a face, he was cocky, over showing himself, stealing finishers, mocking The Rock and the fans... He was quite clearly the heel during the match, end of story. It isn't just about people booing him anymore, the WWE have actively been booking him as a tweener. He was there to act as the Heel against The Rock, and even CM Punk, and apparantly Brock Lesnar if Monday was any indication (nobody booed Brock when he flattened Cena). That being said he is booked as a Babyface against people like The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, etc. As far as I'm concerned, that's the defenition of a Tweener; used as a Heel when need be, and used as a face when need be. This is what Cena is being used as at the moment. He is far gone from being a clean cut baby face.
  9. Can we reconsider making John Cena a tweener. I know it had been discussed in the past but it was decided that he was being booked as a face and thus should be face (which was 100% correct at the time). That being said, Cena is very clearly being booked as a tweener. His whole gimmick at the moment is embracing the people that boo him just as much as the people that cheer him. Not only that but he is purposly making his promos to solicit boos from that part of the crowd, as it allows him to have a bigger reaction. So just a thought, but I would say that Cena is officially a tweener at this point.
  10. DOn West, whatever. But So Cal Val, while she may be working as a "staff" in TNA is an indy manager & wrestler. She should remain as a worker 100%. I agree with Bill, there is tons of staff (especially production) so what's the big deal?
  11. Not sure what it's set as now, but in WWE PG terms I would put Maxine as a Seductress gimmick. She hits on the guys, doesn't sleep with them all. She tried to seduce them to manipulate them for her.
  12. I don't think so... Everything I have ever seen on April indicated her age at being 40. April is probably my favorite female wrestler, and I've never seen anything that said her birthday was anything other than 1971.
  13. 1. Six Feet Under 2. Shameless (US) 3. Dead Like Me 4. Friends 5. Nurse Jackie 6. Threes Company 7. Golden Girls 8. The Carol Burnett Show 9. Roseanne 10. Buffy The Vampire Slayer
  14. So I believe the only movie I've seen that came out past July or early August was Paranormal Activity 3.... So really only have half a year's worth but we'll see what I can come up with. 1. Bad Teacher - Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Lucy Punch, Jason Segel Yeah it got a bad rap... but I LOVED it! Maybe it's the whole being a teacher thing, but I thought it was hillarious and had the perfect cast. I've watched it many times. 2. X-Men: First Class - James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Oliver Platt, Kevin Bacon This was an awesome prequel to the series. Loved every minute of it. Rose Byrne sighting #1! 3. Insidious - Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Barbara Hershey, Lin Shaye, Andrew Astor, Leigh Whannell I was actually really scared by this film. Not sure why but it left me completly shaken and uneasy for about 4 hours afterwards. Good horror. Rose Byrne sighting # 2! 4. Bridesmaids - Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper This was a very funny movie. I really had a good time seeing it (watched it a few days ago for the first time, 3 days ago for the second time). Rose Byrne sighting #3! 5. Paranormal Activity 3 - Chris Smith, Lauren Bittner, Chloe Csengery, Jessica Tyler Brown This was another well done PA movie that left me wanting and craving more. Looking forward to Paranormal Activity 4. 6. Sucker Punch - Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, Oscar Isaac, Jon Hamm, Scott Glenn Another film that got a bad rap for no reason. It was amazing, both visually and entertainingly. The story was unique and made you think at the end. I enjoyed it very much. 7. Horrible Bosses - Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx I went into this movie expecting to be bored, or at the very least mildly entertained. I left the movie happy to have seen it, and surprised that Jennifer Aniston was in something I enjoyed. 8. Unknown - Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones, Aidan Quinn, Frank Langella Fitting title. Haven't seen much about this film anywhere, and actually forgot about until I saw it on Wikipedia, but I really liked this film and it was easily one of the best I had seen this year. 9. Hanna - Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana, Tom Hollander, Olivia Williams, Jason Flemyng, Cate Blanchett This movie was fast paced, and didn't even give you much time to fully absorb what was happening... And I loved it for that reason. Saoirse Ronan was phenomenal and showed she will be an acting force to be reckoned. 10. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Kevin McNally Parts of me didn't want this film to happen as the original trilogy was amazing as it was; and not having the full cast back initially was a let down, but I was blown away with the new cast and thought the whole think worked well. Black Beared was amazing! Honorable mentions Limitless (almost made the list... but clearly not quite. Great movie though) Hall Pass (another comedy I expected to loathe, but loved instead) Friends With Benefits (it was good for what it was. Was never going to be a masterpiece but it was fun none-the-less) Just Go With It (cannot believe that Jennifer Aniston is in two movies I enjoyed this year, and Adam Sandler is in one at all! Generally hate his stuff, but this one I liked) Tree of Life (I've been waiting a while for this movie to come out as I had heard a lot about it; recently watched it on TV... It was aight, nothing spectacular but far from bad)
  15. Just noticed that staff member Ken Wayne is listed as being 25 years old.... The man debuted in wrestler about 30 years ago, and won his first title in 1984 (28 years ago)... I'd say he is likely closer to being 55 or 60 (cannot find info on his real age).
  16. I have to agree with the poster who said Sonjay Dutt has superstar looks. He does have a unique look to him, and is handsome enough to get by his looks alone. The guy stands out, you cannot deny that.
  17. I<ve only seen one episode... It was the one with Jordis Unga... I love Jordis! I have been a fan of hers for about 7 years (2005! wow!) since she appeared on Rock Stars: INXS... She is a phenomenal talent and I would like to see her make it far in The Voice aswell.
  18. Much like the above poster I despise Adam Sandler. Although Click is easily my favorite of his films (not even sure why to be honnest).
  19. Yeah... Like I said I hated Hurt Locker. Neither Avatar or District 9 should have won, but as far as I'm concerned I enjoyed them much more than Hurt Locker.
  20. If it were up to me I would have cut... 2009 - Hurt Locker (yeah it won, but it sucked... I hated this film), The Blind Side (Good, but yeah), An Education (Only seen parts, meh), Inglorious Basterds (aight in pieces, but I was bored for the most part to be honnest; never was able to finish it), A Serious Man (again, seen parts... didn't like it much) 2010 - Winter's Bone, True Grit (Haven't seen them, no interest to); Toy Story 3 & Inception (loved both, but Best Picture... debatable); The Social Network (couldn't finish it, I was bored... might give it another go sometime) - I loved all the others 2011 - Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Midnight In Paris, Moneyball, War Horse That being said, I like the "over a certain %" rule; why limit to just 5 if 7 are worthy, but why force yourself to 10 if only 8 deserve it? Saying between 5 - 10 works and allows for more options & less blatant snubs. Generally, the films that deserve the honor have a chance. I kinda would like to see this rule expanded onto the acting categories as well for the same reasons. If 6 actors/actresses deserve it why not, but if only 8 deserve it why force 10 nominees? In all honnesty this would allow actual supporting characters a chance to be nominated and actual leads to be nominated in that category. Jennifer Hudson was not a supporting role, she was a lead. A supporting role does just that, supports the leads. There is such thing as a Main Lead (main character of the film), and then Supporting or Sub Leads (still lead characters, but a little lesser than the main lead) and then there are the proper Supporting Characters. Here's a few examples... True Grit: Hailee Steinfeld was a lead character Up In The Air: Anna Kendrick was a lead character (her character was intergral to the story, as much as Clooney); Vera Farmiga was rightfully a supporting character (she was supporting George Clooney's role) Doubt: Amy Adams was a lead character (her character was intergral to the story, as much as Meryl Streep); Viola Davis was rightfully a supporting character (she was supporting Meryl Streep's role) Babel: Rinko Kikuchi was a lead character (she was the lead of her portion of the film in every sense of the word); Adriana Barraza was rightfully a supporting character (she was supporting the story behind Brad Pitt & Cate Blanchett) Chicago: Catherine Zeta-Jones was a lead character (as much a part of the story as Renee Zellweger); Queen Latifah was a supporting character Silence of the Lambs: Anthony Hopkins was NOT a lead, he was a supporting character through and through. His character may have had a big presence in the film (being Hanibal) but that does not equate to being a lead. I honnestly feel that there should be a % rule in place for acting categories. So for lead actor / actress a character must be in at least whatever percent of the film to qualify as a lead character. In the same respects, for a supporting character they must have appeared in nore more than whatever percent of the film to be considered a supporting character. I just find its a shame when you see someone like Jennifer Hudson being nominated as a supporting actor because her managemen team figured she has a better shot at winning that category; thats a spot that could have went to a supporting actor actually deserving of the award or nomination. Sorry about the rant...
  21. I enjoyed the show... It wasn't WOW or anything but it was entertaining. I can honnestly I haven't seen any of the films nominated but I was pulling for Streep to win Best Actress (admitedly based on the few clips I had seen and her previous work) and was extremely shocked when she did (in a good way). Aside from that, none of the other acting categories were too surprising based off of other award shows and word going around. Maybe 2012 will be a better year all around for movies, as 2011 was short on real contenders. That being said.... Who would everyone like to see host the Oscars next year? Personally I'd like to see Ellen Degeneres get a second shot, as I thought she was good the last time (though my personal favorite was Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin who I wouldn't mind seeing again). I can't help but think, especially after seeing their interaction tonight, that Emma Stone would make a good co-host if paired with a comedian like Ben Stiller or Steve Carrell for example. I also wonder how George Clooney would be as host, as he is known to have a good sense of humor. And Robert Downey Jr. could probably be a good time too. Even Tina Fey would be an interesting choice, especially if paired with Steve Carrell (they have tons of chemistry together) or Amy Poehler. Thoughts?
  22. BEST LIVING MALE ACTOR 1. Brad Pitt 2. George Clooney 3. Johnny Depp 4. Leonardo DiCaprio 5. Alec Baldwin 6. Mark Whalberg 7. Jack Nicholson 8. Robert DeNiro 9. Dustin Hoffman 10. Morgan Freeman BEST LIVING FEMALE ACTOR 1. Kate Winslet 2. Angelina Jolie 3. Carla Gugino 4. Betty White 5. Saoirse Ronan BEST DEAD ACTOR 1. Bea Arthur 2. John Ritter 3. Heath Ledger 4. River Phoenix 5. James Dean
  23. Just so you know, while her profile is unchanged since 2008, the years active thing changes every year if I remember correctly. So 21 would be from 2011, not 2008.
