  1. I could start on one of these rants about the little teams in the league, but from the way both teams played tonight - a win for either would have been deserved. I am absolutely ecstatic though unsurprisingly. Grimsby haven't won such a big game since they beat Liverpool in 2001.
  2. GRIMSBY 1-0 TOTTENHAM!!! YES!!! YYYEEEAAHHH MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!!
  3. Considering Bristol Rovers were in division 1 a few years ago, that's tragic. *Waits for the 8-1 response*
  4. Favourite: "Feeling Good" by Muse, originally done by Nina Simone. That is one of the greatest covers I've ever heard. Worst: Any band who thinks they can do "Teenage Kicks" by The Undertones some justice.
  5. Grimsby Town. 3-0 win over Torquay. Now... Top of division 3.
  6. I second Shaun of the Dead. It is a perfect British comedy that really embarrases the hell people who legitimately laugh while watching films like American Pie and Deuce Bigalow.
  7. Another thing to do with the blog - it's more of a problem. If you look at the original link and read the About bit, you'll see a couple of &E things there instead of apostrophes and dashes. How do I fix that problem?
  8. Thanks. I feel kinda silly asking something with such an easy answer. Time to modify a bit more.
  9. Oh man, I really want to quote the diabetes advert so much, but since the thread hasn't been labelled with a spoiler warning, I can't really.
  10. I've seen it thanks to the wonders of the internet, I'm still going to buy it though. I believe season 4 continues to air on Fox starting on September 11th for a few more episodes - probably up to and including 12 episodes to add to the other 10 already aired. And the film is constructed from three different episodes ("Stewie B. Goode", "*Stu and Stewie's Excellent" and "And Bango Was His Name, Oh"). While Peter's plots are different from the first part to the second and third, Stewie's plot is continuous. It is a bloody funny film by the way.
  11. I agree. I remember Grimsby's 5-1 victory against Bury last year and Bury aren't a big team. I think he means "why would you remember games against Leek Town and Spennymoor when you can remember games against Manchester United". But huge scorelines are just as rememberal so the comment should have been used if you remembered Luton beating Charlton 1-0 in 1984 or something.
  12. I didn't vote because I think there's too many directors that have come and gone and are still here to summarise the greatest directors into nine options plus an other option. But I think the best director ever is Billy Wilder.
  13. Same. No poster though. I also like "Some Like It Hot". It was made in 1959, directed by Billy Wilder, it had Marilyn Manroe and her amazing talents of read off of cue cards. Great, funny film though.

    2005 VMA's

Wait... Is this thread saying that MTV is remotely trying to promote music instead of the music lifestyle? Hell, what next? Music videos on MTV? HA! If you guys think MTV cramming down generic pop crap like My Chemical Romance and Greenday is bad - Kerrang magazine just had them contending for the best band in the world award.
  15. It's true in a way. Charlton struggled like hell against Grimsby Town in the second round last time and got away with murder with two (admittedly f'n sweet - especially the first goal) set pieces.
  16. GameFAQs.com? Wasn't that the site that Javert was plugging earlier before he got banned? Anyway, I would die of an uber-orgasm for that list of legends (Razor Ramon, w00t) - but there is too many legends. I can swear I heard somewhere that the producers of this game wanted to focus on the now wrestlers (due to season mode etc.) and having a legends roster so big that its almost big enough to have it's own brand contradicts that. Would be freakin' sweet though!
  17. Surprised this hasn't been posted yet. Any thoughts on any of the ties?
  18. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/l...cup/4185770.stm You're going down boys!
  19. In all honesty, I can't give my professional opinion until I go see Town play (work has meant I haven't committed to going to any games) - but from the looks of today's game against Barnet, we could have a gem. We beat Barnet 1-0, significant in how Barnet was first and undefeated until today thanks to sub Andrew's goal. We got our third player sent off in a week though. Hey, it may be the dirty players table, but Grimsby may actually top it! Woo yay!
  20. They've had people who don't work for WWE anymore in games before (see: Sable). Charlie Haas is in too. ← And Mark Jindrak and Joy Giovanni. Muhammad Hassan and Daivari are also in despite being 'killed off'.
  21. Limp Bizkit. Understandly, the song that made me hate them in the first place was Rollin'. Then I heard "Take A Look Around" and "My Way" and so I really got into them.
  22. Logical though. His mum doesn't have a bedtime!
  23. I swear, those four have been in the same group together a few years ago. That's very familiar.
  24. It's funny because they suck! I think it'd be really cool if Liverpool ended up in a group with Chelsea and Rangers for some reason. It'd be a good scrap and even better if it's Chelsea that comes 3rd or 4th. I'm hopeful that the draw will leave Man Utd and Chelsea in the shit.
