  1. Something tells me you've George W. Bushed this...where's Michael Moore when you need him? Seriously though, I'm just glad I didn't finish last, so that's cheered me up. After hearing that Radzinski has rejected his contract, after I'd shelled out £310 on a season ticket, I could do with cheering up.
  2. McAteer's move to Leicster has collapsed, according to Sky Sports News.
  3. Portugal 2-1 Greece Greece to score first.
  4. Bollocks. Forgot about this, so is it ok if I just predict today's match? Greece 1- 3 Czech Republic Czech Republic to score first. And i would've guessed Portugal v Holland right, so just add the points on.
  5. While I agree that if we had played well enough to beat Portugal, we would've done it conclusively. Thing is, while we didn't play well, we did enough to win, because John Terry standing there while Ricardo flaps about is not a foul. Its not like v Argentina in 1998 where there was a clear foul on the keeper by Shearer, who blocked him with his elbow. A hand on the shoulder is not a foul. Oh, and I can' wait for the Semi-Finals...France v Holland sound good to anyone?
  6. Nice easy 3 points for the opening day, then. Seriously though, we're going to be hammered, Rooney or no Rooney, Marcus Bent or no Marcus Bent.
  7. Thursday 24th June, Luz, Lisbon Portugal v England 1-2 Which side to score first: Portugal Friday 25th June, Jose Alvalade, Lisbon France v Greece 2-1 Score first: France Saturday 26th June, Faro-Loulé Sweden v Holland 2-1 Score first: Sweden Sunday 27th June, Dragao, Porto Czech Republic v Denmark 3-2 Score first: Czech Rep
  8. The Havana Room, by Colin Harrison. Good, but a bit of a disappointment in the middle. I'm going to start High Fidelity or Brighton Rock soon.
  9. Italy and their defensive tactics suck. Marcel Desaiily and his clown-like defending suck also, as do Latvia and their supid unpronounceable names. That is all.
  10. Goodbye Pinnochio, Goodbye Pinnochio, etc... I can't see why you'd keep Sammy Lee, whenever I've seen him coach he just looks like an army drill sergeant, shouting at the players as opposed to coaching them. Everton had the same problem with Archie Knox.
  11. Radzinski is one of our best forwards, but he's asked for a transfer, and seen as though his contract expires next summer, we've got to sell him now or January to stop him going for free. Midfield and defence are where we really need signings, because we have Rooney, McFadden (who was excellent v Spurs as a forward), Ferguson and Nick Chadwick to play upfront. And Everton...cash only? You must be thinking of a team with a pot to piss in.
  12. Good move by Liverpool, but rumour has it (well, Mick Quinn on talkSPORT) that Stevie G isn't happy with Benitez's appointment, and is looking to move to Chelsea. Apparantly, Moores asked Gerrard if he would join Chelsea should they make an offer and have it accepted, and Gerrard said yes. Can't see it myself, but stranger things have happened.
  13. In the most unlikely rumour for a while: Toffeeweb.com Not going to happen, for so many reasons. We badly need a defender after missing out on Laursen. Oh, and Radzinski + cash to Fulham in return for Sean Davis. You heard it here first.
  14. Group A: Portugal v Greece = 2-0 Spain v Russia = 3-1 Greece v Spain = 1-2 Russia v Portugal = 0-3 Spain v Portugal = 2-2 Russia v Greece = 0-0 Qualifiers: 1. Portugal 2. Spain Group B: Switzerland v Croatia = 0-1 France v England = 2-2 England v Switzerland = 3-0 Croatia v France = 0-3 Switzerland v France = 0-4 Croatia v England = 1-2 Qualifiers: 1.France 2.England Group C: Denmark v Italy = 1-3 Sweden v Bulgaria = 2-0 Bulgaria v Denmark = 0-1 Italy v Sweden = 3-2 Italy v Bulgaria = 4-0 Denmark v Sweden = 1-1 Qualifiers: 1. Italy 2. Denmark, on goal difference. Group D: Czech Rep v Latvia = 2-0 Germany v Holland = 1-2 Latvia v Germany = 0-2 Holland v Czech Rep = 2-2 Holland v Latvia = 4-0 Germany v Czech Rep = 1-3 Qualifiers: 1. Holland 2. Czech Republic Winner: Italy Golden Boot: Thierry Henry
  15. I'd say because he is just a goal scorer, while Henry, Raul or Totti are better all round players. Thats just me though.
  16. Everton having elephants on their shirts would be pretty apt, because most of our defenders and half of our strike force have less pace than your average elephant. Moyes said that Rooney is not going to Chelsea, Man Utd or anywhere else, and even if he was going Chelsea would be the only ones who could afford him, not that he was worried they were going to make an offer. Is what he actually said. Graveson's agent wants him to leave, as does 70 percent of the Everton crowd, but Moyes says he isn't going anywhere: And Robert Huth is described as groin-gashing because he nearly castrated Alan Shearer. EDIT: Source
  17. Rivaldo is a lazy, money grabbing has-been, living off former glories. Ronaldo is one of the best strikers in the world, despite his weight problems and his knee nearly falling apart, twice. While Ronaldo may not be as good as he once was, he is still pretty bloody good, whereas Rivaldo hasn't been good since he left Barca. Oh, and I'd agree RVN is over-rated, but not the most over-rated player in the world. He is still pretty bloody good, just not as good as Henry, Raul or Totti.
  18. £6 for Nesta? Bargain! Oh, and Pigeon, it's not just the Kopites who want justice, its pretty much everyone on Merseyside.
  19. I've gone for The Nevilles, but it's not so much Phil, but Gary. Everything he says in the press makes me think he's a dick even more, and he's not even a good player. Has anyone ever read The Gary Neville Diary's on Football365.com? Classic!
  20. I'd go for Rooney and Stead. Rooney needs no explanation, and Stead is going to be fuckin' awesome. I can't wait to see him in the England squad.
  21. C'mon Tim! As I type its 4-4 in the second set, with Henman 1-0 up and Coria to serve at 15-30. C'mon Tim!
  22. Your welcome to them. Infact, I will pay for their petrol money across the Penines, just take them both of our hands. Now. Please. And Everton are interested in Dom Matteo. ToffeeWeb Rumour Mill
  23. Forgot about Robinson. But still, take Carr out, who have you got? From what I saw of the young lad who replaced him last year (Kelly?), he just isn't good enough, at least not yet. Same goes for King and Gardner, because Docherty is poor. When Everton run rings around you, you know your poor. What are the chances?
  24. It's a good move, but they still need major work, like a goalkeeper, at least one defender, and at least one midfielder.
  25. After Euro 2004, yes. Exactly. Remember, as in they're not anymore, which is why everyone is suprised they can get someone like Santini.
