I swear I've heard Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us" in a bunch of TV ads and movies (Jobs and RIPD for starters) lately.
-
Never watched Glee, but I've seen him on talk shows and such. I'm 31 myself so its definitely too young to die. Such a tragic loss.
-
Boo, that sucks. Childish Gambino isn't even that good to begin with.
And LOL at the suggestion of a 3D episode.
Maybe that's why he's devoting more time to it, to make it better.
At this rate, if they make it to a sixth season, we may only have two cast members left
-
Can't say I ever really watched the Sopranos, but I respected his body of work in it and a lot of other projects he did.
51 is too young to go, and the report I read that it was a heart attack AND a stroke makes it even sadder (and that it happened in Italy at that is kinda eerie in a way)

She owns a hangout known for its pudding? I hope this leads to a Bill Cosby cameo

Hmmm, interesting move. I guess it makes sense to some degree since they've set everyone up with getting married, getting a new job, moving, etc. I wondered how they would handle Lily moving to Rome for a whole year and thus not being around, but I guess that won't happen now until the series ends, if it ends up happening at all.

*sigh*, well I guess so much for Community getting a full season, but I guess I can somewhat understand not having it in the same time slot as Big Bang Theory, maybe Parks & Recreation will stand a better chance competing in the 8:00 slot than Community has. As long as they keep Community on Thursdays when it does get fit in the schedule and they don't move it to another night. Possibly with a good lead-in on Thursdays, Community could get an even bigger audience than its gotten recently. *fingers crossed*

With only two comedies remaining and all the others getting cut/ending their runs, I guess NBC's "We Peacock Comedy" slogan doesn't work out too well.
-
That makes my day. Glad to hear it and I'm sure Community will be fine without Chevy Chase, they can just increase the Dean and Chang's roles. And Community shouldn't be pushed back to mid-season this time around. This delayed season was kind of overshadowed by The Office and 30 Rock bowing out, but now Community should get a bigger focus, pretty much by default, though hoping NBC execs don't try to meddle with it too much either like they've been known to do.
-
Really hope they keep Community (six seasons and a movie dammit). After Parks & Rec, what other veteran comedies do they even have left? Everything else is still pretty new and unproven. Its a far cry from when they used to have five nights worth of sitcoms, now it seems like they can barely even fill up one night.

(Y) (Y) Two thumbs up on a wonderful life. Say hello to Gene Siskel, you'll be missed

Get it right, its "wrong section bud", "wrong section guy" works for another forum

I watched a promo for 1600 Penn once! It wasn't very good!

Diane Chambers from Cheers. Good Lord she was utterly insufferable. What Sam ever saw in her I can't fathom.
YES! I honestly have only seen bits and pieces of the first six seasons of Cheers because I just couldn't stand her character. Strangely though, I didn't mind Shelley Long in other things.

and he can start with shooting Jar Jar Binks, repeatedly

I like Kevin Bacon, but I don't know, kind of tired of the 'super-intelligent' serial killer on so many shows. Serial killers aren't supposed to be super intelligent, they don't use logic, they're psychotic. Just like a cop doesn't put down his gun because a criminal holds his gun to someone's head, but that's Hollywood for ya.

I'll only watch if Vader has more guest appearances

I feel like by 2025, every movie I grew up with will have a sequel, prequel or remake.
I mean maybe it'll be good with the right casting/directing etc., but I'm just not that optimistic about it, whether Disney has a better reputation with this things or not.
Nothing could be worse than the Star Wars Christmas Special, I hope I'm not proven wrong in a few years.

I second, or third, the feelings for Napolean Dynamite. Never saw what the big deal was about it, what the actual plot was, why Fox decided to make an animated series 8 years later (only to cancel it shortly afterwards), etc.

I agree on Suburban Commando. I'd say its probably the best movie Hogan was in. You had the Undertaker as a bounty hunter and Christopher Lloyd saying "I WAS FROZEN TODAY!". Whats not to love?
I also watch Jingle All the Way every Christmas.

I had a look at my list from the last one (also results), and it hasn't changed much for me. Not surprising at all. I'm going to stay away from voting for anything that made the top ten last time, so perennial Sousa favorites You Only Move Twice, Homer the Great, and Last Exit to Springfield do not make the list.
1. And Maggie Makes Three (Season 6) - Man, be a dad who's had to make sacrifices for your kid, and there's a good chance this will be your favorite episode, too. "Sometimes shit doesn't work out, but you tough it out anyway for the people you love" is a pretty sophisticated message for a cartoon about yellow people who occasionally decapitate a statue.
2. Lisa's Substitute (Season 2) - Dennis Hoffman is one of the best guests they've ever had on the show. Poignant and touching with a hilarious subplot about Bart running for class president. "You are Lisa Simpson." d'awwwwwwwwwww.
3. Simpson and Delilah (Season 2) - ...but my favorite guest ever is still Harvey Fierstein as Karl. "BECAUSE MY MOTHER TOLD ME NEVER TO KISS A FOOL!" Probably the first really great episode of the show.
4. Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in "The Curse of the Flying Hellfish" (Season 7) - I watched this one pretty recently, which is probably why it's up there so high, but it's so weird among Simpsons episodes. I mean, it's an action-oriented episode centered around Grandpa and Bart. And every bit of it works. Grandpa is an absolute stone badass.
5. The Cartridge Family (Season 9) - This one didn't get a lot of votes last time, but I love it because it's so damn quotable. "This is the trigger, and this is the thing you point at whatever you want to die..."
6. Old Money (Season 2) - Another season 2 episode, and another Grandpa-centric one. Beautiful stuff, kind of funny, and more than a little heartbreaking. The real magic of The Simpsons is how it makes you give a shit about these little one-time characters like Mr. Bergstrom and, in this episode, Bea.
7. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? (Season 2) - ...I think I just really, really like season 2. This one gets in by virtue of being a twenty minutes of tremendous build with the greatest punchline the show has ever done. Soft and yielding like a Nerf ball, indeed.
8. The Homer They Fall (Season 8) - That cactus is right. This is a fantastic episode.
9. Lemon of Troy (Season 6) - It single-handedly saved the horrible "Gabbie Giffords shot" thread. And it's really funny anyway. I wish there was a better "rabblegrumbleSHAKE HARDER BOY" video on YouTube because it would be very useful.
10. Mountain of Madness (Season 8) - This one cranks up the randomness pretty high, but "let's make real men, out of snow!" is one of those lines that gets to me every time.
Last place ever: A Milhouse Divided, because nobody fucking cares about Kirk Van Houten.
Dennis Hoffman? Don't you mean Dustin?

Sunday: The Simpsons and Family Guy as much as possible. Neither is at the height of their greatness, but its part of my Sunday night routine when they're on. SOUSA SAYS: "could not care less" about the Cleveland Show, Bob's Burgers or American Dad (though I can tolerate American Dad sometimes if I see it in reruns)
Monday: How I Met Your Mother and Raw
Thursday: Beavis & Butt-head if they return anytime soon. Probably check out Big Bang Theory more often now that its not up directly against Community
Friday: Community obviously, Smackdown if it looks worthwhile.
Also watch Conan every Monday-Thursday.
Don't really watch much of anything Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday on a regular basis, though if I see something and get into it, that might change.

We Are Men is officially cancelled (the curse of Jerry O'Connell continues)
I thought it had potential and a good cast, but needed time to grow. But of course we can't have that in today's TV environment where everything has to be an instant hit the second it airs or away it goes. Oh well.
