  1. R.I.P. Chris Cornell. I'm shocked and saddened. Soundgarden was one of my favorite bands and I followed him through his solo work, Audioslave and his return to Soundgarden. He had such a powerful voice and once again was a family man. Why do the good people have to go young while assholes continue to live? I'm stunned that it was suicide, my thoughts are with his family and his band mates :crying:

All the more reason for it to be brought back. Bigger potential to market to exploit for profit.

My point is that any existing IP can be brought back because that's what networks and studio do now. Nothing is sacred.

I can't wait for the return of Family Matters, then the Wonder Years, then Doogie Howser, because everything from the 80's/90's has to exist again in the 2010's. <_<

  3. Current (though most have been on 20+ years): The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, South Park, Family Guy and uh, some WWE shows (or most not named Raw usually <_<)

All-time: (no particular order, no way I can't narrow it down to 5 sorry) Community, Three's Company, Monk, The Muppet Show, Friends, Seinfeld, How I Met Your Mother, Beavis and Butt-head, Magnum P.I., Cheers, Frasier, The Wonder Years, Futurama. Saved by the Bell, Beverly Hills 90210 and probably a dozen others I can't think of at the moment.

Why does everyone hate New England?

I call it the John Cena effect. Back 15-20 years ago, they weren't that big of a deal, but over the past decade-plus they've accumulated so many championships that they're no longer the underdog, they're a dynasty, to paraphrase C.M. Punk.

  5. How come in baseball, hockey and basketball playoffs, it comes down to best-of-7-series but in football its all decided by one freakin' game?

This is equivalent to the Yankees winning the World Series or the Lakers winning the NBA Finals. You just expect it to happen because its happened so many times before, but cheer like hell for an underdog to come through and knock them off anyway. Screw the Patriots.

  6. Don't you start 2017.....

Definitely a legend in TV history who paved the way for a lot of women in comedy. I grew up watching a lot of Nick at Nite so I've seen plenty of the Dick Van Dyke Show and Mary Tyler Moore Show among other classic shows. From what I've heard, she was in pretty bad shape the past couple years, so its a bittersweet loss. RIP MTM. :(

  7. I would've guessed more than roughly 37 famous people, I've seen year-end lists with at least twice that amount recently. Not all of them were people I recognized at first, and those lists didn't include some people I would've (i.e. no wrestling-related deaths like Chyna and Balls Mahoney), but still 37 just seems low to me, which just shows how bad this year has been when 37 famous people dying seems low. :(

  8. One of my least favorite is when a criminal holds someone in front of them with a gun to their head and the hero/police officer almost always cowers and puts their gun down and tries to negotiate. Just blow their head off! Odds are they aren't gonna shoot their hostage before you shoot them.

Also the killer is always some super-genius mastermind and can't just be an insane maniac out to kill people for completely irrational reasons.

  9. :( 2016 claims another one, on Christmas no less. Does this year have no remorse? What's the count up to now? 108 for each year the Cubs didn't win the World Series?

2017 doesn't look too promising with Trump taking office, but its going to be hard for any year to top 2016 as the absolute worst. FFS.

  10. :( Hope she can make a strong recovery from this. Would definitely cast a pall over Episode VIII, let alone the original trilogy. It was hard enough to lose Han Solo just in the story, but losing Princess Leia in real life would be too much. Curse you 2016. Worst. Year. Ever.

  11. I hardly ever go to movies much anymore it seems, except maybe on my birthday, but only if there's something I want to see, which there wasn't this year. But I'm used to going to movies and doing a lot of other stuff on my own. Friends either live far away or aren't available when I am, or I'm working when they're available, so its hard to find a good time. I'd definitely prefer to go out with friends, or go on a date for the first time in 8 years, but it is what it is.
