  1. Scary Movie 1 was mediocre. But I hated 2,3 and 4. I chose not to watch Date Movie and Epic Movie. They looked awful. Not Another Teen Movie was also very bad. Would Grindhouse count as a parody? Cause to me it's a comedy, I don't consider it a horror or action.
  2. The Blair Witch Project: 1/10 It really doesn't get much worse than this. It's boring, everything about it annoys me. Though I don't really know why. After 30 minutes, it really becomes an agonizing experience. I give it a 1 because of this awesome line, "We walked for 15 hours today! We ended up in the same place!". That had me cracking up. This is by no means a worthwhile experience. I don't know why I decided to rewatch it. If I thought it sucked bad at age 10, chances are I wouldn't like it now. Aw well, we all make mistakes. Edit: Bloodrayne 2: 1/10 I didn't want to give it a 1. I tried to find something I liked. Anything. But this movie has no likable qualities. Compared to Uwe's others, it's worse than Bloodrayne and Alone in the Dark, though still not as bad as House of the Dead. I hope Postal is an improvement. I can't continue putting myself through the torture of watching his movies. Some people like his movies and still find them funny-bad. I don't. Bloodrayne 2 sucked my will to live. Sucked...get it? Movie with vampires. Hehe.
  3. 1: Pink Floyd 2: The Beatles 3: Led Zeppelin 4: Queen 5: The Who 6: David Bowie 7: Meat Loaf 8: Guns N' Roses 9: Nirvana 10: Syd Barrett
  4. Can I add a band and a person's solo career? For example, could I add The Beatles and George Harrison on two different spots?
  5. Didn't Blender also once rank The Doors as one of the worst bands of all time? If so, I really can't take any opinion from them seriously.
  6. I was kinda hesitant at first, but there was nothing else on so I gave it a try. I was overly impressed. First episode was pretty good. I didn't think I'd like it, as I hate most television shows. But I'll be sure to watch it next week. I admit though, I didn't really start paying attention until Sarah asked out Chuck. Though when I found out she was just a spy pretending to like him...it kinda crushed my dreams a little. Nonetheless, great show so far.
  7. The Kinks - Lola For the past two weeks I've been singing this in my head almost constantly. One day last week I listened to it on loop for an hour.
  8. Top 10 would be too hard for me, but I do have a Top 5 in no particular order: -Lionel Hutz -Troy McClure -Bart Simpson -Homer Simpson -Frink
  9. Death Proof (Extended Cut): 9/10 Personally, I have nothing against releasing the movies separately, as Death Proof and Planet Terror are separate movies. Grindhouse was the cinematic experience of watching the two movies back-to-back in an excellent fashion. I'm just disappointed that the trailers were not added as special features. Now I eagerly await the release of Planet Terror, and in a couple years probably the deluxe box sex edition of Grindhouse.
  10. Um... The Simpsons, Supernatural, and I guess I may watch a bit of My Name Is Earl and The Office. Yeah, I don't really watch a lot of TV. I mainly have my television to watch DVDs.
  11. Paul's 4th for me. He has a great voice, but I really don't like his song writing at all. With a few exceptions, his songs have poor-to-mediocre lyrics. Ringo's 3rd. He isn't the best drummer in the world by any means, but he's great at making really simple and memorable rhythms. And I'm quite fond of his voice. George and John are probably tied, but if I had to choose one over the other, John barely wins. George is my favourite singer in the group, and he's a very good songwriter. John's my favourite songwriter in the group, and he's a very good singer. Overall, I really like all four members. My 4 favourite Beatles songs are actually 'I Am The Walrus', 'Penny Lane', 'Octopus's Garden', and 'Here Comes The Sun', so basically one song from each member.
  12. ... 0_o You are quite the disturbed individual. Nonetheless, that video was genius.
  13. If you like classic horror (as in 1920's - 1940's) then there a lot you can find easily online. And a good number of them are public domain, making it legal. Only problem is, I'm not sure which are public domain or not. But films like The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Nosferatu, The Phantom of the Opera (1925/1929), Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Wolf Man are all must watch movies for any horror fan. And if they're not public domain, they should be pretty easy to find for cheap. Except Nosferatu. Finding a good version of that film can be a bitch.
  14. Just thought of another. "Bat Man" - The Who
  15. Play American Werewolf In London or Ginger Snaps. The two are excellent werewolf films. Another great slasher is the original Black Christmas. Gremlins, John Carpenter's The Thing, The Exorcist, and Carrie are other great horror flicks.
  16. Films I watched over the weekend, Ichi The Killer: 9.5/10 or 10/10 Watched it again with a friend. I love it even more now. Wayne's World: 9/10 One of my favorite comedies. The Rocky Horror Picture Show: 8/10 I like it more now than I did with my first viewing. Halloween: 8/10
  17. It's from a soundtrack, but it's just that great, Queen - Flash (Flash Gordan)
  18. As a person who hated 1000 Corpses and loved Devil's Rejects, I made sure to into Halloween as open minded as possible, especially after reading countless negative reviews. Overall, I was impressed. I'd say it was almost as good as Devil's Rejects, and one of the best horror remakes. The section detailing around Michael's childhood I didn't mind so much. But one reason why I love the original Halloween is because as far as we know, Michael has no reason for killing and he's just pure 100% evil. Though I understood this was Zombie making his own movie, not a direct remake, so I respect what he did. He wanted to make Michael a character you could feel sympathy for. The acting was pretty good, with Sherri Moon and McDowell giving the best performances. I'd give Halloween 8/10, it was my favourite horror film so far this year. It obviously doesn't come close to the original (which is one of the great horror films of all time), but it does do the original justice.
  19. The Legend of the Drunken Master (Drunken Master II): 9/10 Slow at parts, but the final 15-20 minutes really made up for it. Jackie Chan vs Ken Lo was one the best fight scenes I've ever seen on film, coming close to Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris. Edit: The Hills Have Eyes II: 2.5/10 No better or no worse than the original (the 2005 remake, not the Wes Craven original). The Descent: 7.5/10 A fine quality horror movie. I wonder why it took me a year to actually get around to see it. Ichi The Killer: 9.5/10 I'm happy I just bought the DVD and never streamed it online. It was amazing, a movie I'm definitely gonna watch again and again. The reason why I hate movies like Hostel 1+2, The Hills Have Eyes (the recent ones) and TCM: The Beginning is because they have heavy amounts of violence just for the sake of having violence. And nothing else. I enjoy movies like SAW and Devil's Rejects cause I can tell they actually try to have a story. Why the stories/plots may not be great, they're passable. But Ichi The Killer has an excellent plot, and I LOVED the characters. Especially Kakihara, my new favourite movie character. Some of the violence was also highly entertaining. The only reason I don't give it 10/10 was because it was a bit hard to follow at times. And the blood pack DVD packaging is pretty sweet.
  20. Full Metal Jacket: 9.5/10 One of the best movies I've ever seen that didn't have an actual story. The first part I found to be quite hysterical (well at least up until the end). And the second part had its upbeat moments but was fairly depressing. I actually watched this movie in parts over a span of a few days. As one movie it does seem kind of odd but it works. Of the 5 Kubrick films I've seen as of now, I've yet to be disappointed. 'Lolita' is one I'd love to watch next.
  21. "Warner Bros. Follows the Yellow Brick Road Posted by Sam on Wednesday, 22 Aug 2007 A new take on the various L. Frank Baum books from which “The Wizard of Oz” tale was born will be explored by Warner Bros., according to Variety. Baum created a total of 15 stories that surround the Oz legacy. Village Roadshow Pictures will team up with Warner Bros. by taking an idea hatched by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and screenwriter Josh Olson. The former will produce while the latter will create a script. This has been a project in the works for quite some time but now it can go full steam ahead since Warner purchased the rights to “Oz” from Ted Turner. “McFarlane has a vision of Oz that is a dark, edgy and muscular PG-13, without a singing Munchkin in sight,” wrote journalist Michael Fleming. “That was clear with a toy line he launched several years ago that featured a buxom Dorothy and Toto re-imagined as an over-sized snarling warthog. Olson’s vision is of a bit tamer PG movie and hopefully the two can find some middle ground of compromise that will please them both and not hurt the final product. “I saw those toys, and Dorothy as some bondage queen isn’t something I want to do,” Olson told Fleming. “The appealing thing about the Baum books to me is how wildly imaginative they are. There are crazy characters from amazing places. I want this to be ‘Harry Potter’ dark, not ‘Seven’ dark.” “My pitch was ‘How do we get people who went to ‘Lord of the Rings’ to embrace this?’ ” McFarlane said. “I want to create [an interpretation] that has a 2007 wow factor. You’ve still got Dorothy trapped in an odd place, but she’s much closer to the Ripley from ‘Alien’ than a helpless singing girl.” This being said, Olson does suggest that they won’t be throwing the baby out with the bath water and whatever is finally decided on will take the classic Judy Garland movie into account on some level that might make this new one feel a bit like a sequel." Source This slightly interests me, but it's definitely not something I'm looking forward to. The Wizard of Oz was my favorite childhood movie and still one of my favorites to this day. I've read the first 2 books in the series so I wouldn't mind seeing Jack Pumpkinhead and Tip adapted into film though. Also, how make 15 books in a film series? They're not actually making 15 movies are they? They're short books, so I could see them being made into 7 or 8 films at the least, but even that's a lot. Well, at least they never obtained the rights to all 40 Oz books.
  22. Some great quotes/conversations from one of the funniest and wittiest movie of all time, Clue.
  23. Hot Fuzz: 9.5/10 Brilliantly funny. And when the action picks up, it just gets better and better. From the person who directed Shaun of the Dead and the Don't trailer, I was expecting greatness. But Hot Fuzz passed all my expectations.
  24. Punch-Drunk Love: 9/10 Much better than I was expecting. A very odd movie, almost psychedelic. The camera shots were beautiful. Sandler's acting was great, better than he was in any other movie. My new favorite Adam Sandler movie. Thir13en Ghosts: 5/10 And to think this scared me when it first came out. It was pathetic. And it gets as high as a 5 cause of the amazing glass death scene. One of the greatest kills in any horror movie.
