I warned you about Guinea. And Namibia's all but gone now. Ghana/Morocco will be a thriller.

Salomon Kalou's goal for Ivory Coast against Nigeria actually made SportsCenter over here. It was a great run through the defense, but I'm shocked no one tried to take him down. All the same, looks like a wide-open tournament so far. Guinea played Ghana respectably and will be a tough out.

I'm impressed you know of most of these obscure films, Skummy. I hadn't heard of probably six or so of them.

Magical. Simply magical goal. I would add to his legacy the Man U rally against Bayern. His 2 corners were well-placed enough to trigger the goal-scoring opportunities, and that team was a special team.

The preview's been on a couple of times today on the networks I frequent, and it blows. If you've seen any comedy with a dog in it for the past... well, if you've ever seen any comedy with a dog in it, you know the jokes already. Ha ha, they drink from the toilet. Ha ha, they sniff each other's asses. Ha ha, a dog says "All bark, no bite," and it's funny because dogs actually bark. There's actually a part where the female love interest dog goes "Oh where, oh where has my Underdog gone?" We're talking bad. And God, did anyone else see this Alvin & The Chimpmunks ad and immediately flash back to those anti-drug PSA's from the 80's? "Hey, kids! Dope ain't cool!"

Man, Liverpool is unfortunate to go in behind, but it looks like they have the firepower that this won't end 1-0. Might have been handball on Pippo, but TBH I didn't realize he touched it at all until the replays. The US guys are talking about how poorly Jankulovski has been playing, and Tommy Smyth says it's odds-on that Kewell will come in for Zenden at some point in the second half. Also, Rae and Smyth are wondering if Seedorf can continue the flashes of brilliance. Well, ought to be a great second half.

Obviously none of you people have memories that go back far enough, or "MacArthur Park" would be #1 on this list of pain.
