  1. Boy did India mess that up towards the end. They could very easily lose from here!
  2. Yeah, when it comes to Yardys darts, I think they work well in the 20 over form of the game, but not so much in 50 over. I have a feeling that Tredders may get a run out because of the wicket, but you never know. If Gayles injured, thats a big bonus. Pollard is a big hitter, but as I say i'm not 100% that the pitch will work in his favour. We shall see!
  3. It's extremely hard to smash the ball out of the ground on that pitch. Far easier to do it on a nice track like the Windies have been playing on up until now. The pitch doesn't suit them, plus we have already had the oppertunity to play on it. I can see us strangling, our quickies won't get 10 overs each. 10 for Swann, 10 for Yardy and prob 10 for the off cutters of Colly. Pollard will struggle on that track. I also don't agree with putting Pollards threat above that of Gayle, despite him not being in great form.
  4. Why not, we obviously raise our game against the better opposition. Plus it's back on the ground where we played SA, and therefore need a good spinner here and there, we have that, not sure the West Indies spinners are up to the quality of ours. I think we will do it!
  5. We bring the entertainment, don't we. I just wish that our batting and our bowling good be equally as effective in a single match. Not just one game our batting is good, then the next game our bowling is. I do enjoy beating any side led by Graeme Smith though!
  6. We shouldn't have had to rely on big hitting bowlers at the end. Fortunatly they stepped up to the plate and did a job, but boy did we make it hard. A fantastic match, we may have got the job done with Morgan. Not so sure about India as favourites now, yes their batting is very very good, but their bowling and fielding leaves an awful lot to be desired. Great advert for 50 over cricket.
  7. Might be good for England to start off with a test before their game against India. Battings in good nick, and the bowlers now know they need to up their game. Could be a very helpful wake up call.
  8. Just read that MCFC have ruled out a move for Lukaku. Also, can I ask that someone in the Lower Leagues takes Matt Tubbs from Crawley please, he's making it very difficult for Luton to go up with his consistant scoring.
  9. I'd like Arsenal to sign Chris Samba, he's just the sort of no nonsense beast that they need at the back. I would also like them to keep Sczcesny between the sticks, I think he has a great deal of potential. Other than that, shipping out Bendtner and Denilson and replacing them with better models, I don't think Arsene has to do too much more.
  10. I can't see past India at the moment, not sure SA have what it takes again. I would like to see an England vs India final and I think it could happen. England are one decent all-rounder away from being a world class outfit, can't see Luke Wright going too far. Never count out Australia though, they always do well in the World Cup environment.
  11. To me it's a straight fight between Westwood and Swann. I think Westwood getting to world number one has been severely underplayed and he deserves a great deal more credit, starting with this. Swann is at the top of his game and is the leading spinner in the world and the second best bowler in the world. He has worked his backside off to get to where he is now, and fully deserves acolades.
  12. Glad to see Australia have decided to make a game of it again. Typical of England to collapse when the pressure is finally put on. I think we can chase anything up to 380, so a good burst early morning would be nice. We've taken some big wickets regardless of form, so hopefully we can get the rest out by middle of tomorrow.
  13. Yeah they have been worse, there was a guy called Paul a few years back who was a cock. Chris to win for me, not a big fan of Stella to be honest. I did want Jamie to pull through, but he was poor on the latest episode.
  14. I think Hussey got away with it very early on in the day. He looked plumb a couple of times to me. Andersons spell at the beginning of the day is very encouraging. Good for Finn getting a 6-fer, but he still bowls too short for my liking.
  15. I can't see any of the men reaching the end. I've not seen anything from Liz in the past few weeks, possibly because she's stuck with all the men and they are more entertaining than she is.
  16. The way that ball fizzes to the right with the sheer rotations on the ball and then spins straight past the bat. That ball to Gatting is amazing. What a bowler.
  17. Yeah i'm almost 100% certain that wasn't Shane Warne who said that. I'm thinking it was Zimbabwean Eddo Brandes. But yeah, Warne still is awesome.
  18. Actually tlmn's point is a very good one. Murali did bowl at one of the best batting lineups in cricket. Sri Lanka may have had a couple of good batters but nothing of the quality of that Aussie side. I guess that cancels out the mass of wickets against the 'minnows'. He got over 110 wickets against England too so i'm glad he's gone!! Hopefully England have a bowler of that quality come through soon.
  19. Not to take anything away from this amazing achievement. But Murali took 160 odd wickets against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe put together, whilst Warne only took 11 against them. Well done to the chap though, one of the nicest guys in cricket.
  20. Really dislikes The Dragon after reading MITB thread.

    2. Sousa

I'm normally not that hard on Striker, but he was particularly tiresome last night, to be fair.

I actually quite liked Striker on the event. But I don't listen to him week in, week out.

By the time he was calling Chris Jericho a "Thrillseeker" I wanted to bloody his nose. Yes, congratulations, you remember old gimmicks people used to have, good job. At least he didn't say that Kane was "diesel-powered," I guess.

  21. Morgan will be playing for England, a top quality batter in ODIs but i'm still not 100% on him in the tests. You may get to see Steven Finn, he is a quickie and in my oppinion looks pretty good. The rest is usual England I guess. I could barely recognise some of that Aussie team today. Not the force they once were.
  22. GK: Peter Schmeichel DR: Gary Neville DL: Ashley Cole DC: Tony Adams DC: Rio Ferdinand ML: Ryan Giggs MR: Christiano Ronaldo MC: Roy Keane MC: Patrick Vieira FW: Thierry Henry FW: Eric Cantona As I wrote this I noticed that these are only from two teams, but oh well.
  23. Right, where do I start here. Watching these scenes I was sick to my stomach. These idiots are the reason we, as Luton fans get a bad name. In a 10,000 sell-out and 100/200 or so do that, it frustrates me that we get tarred with the same brush. What angers me the most is the lack of action done by our bigwigs who i'm afraid don't do enough to stop it. Frustration is one thing, hell i was frustrated as hell to stay in this division for reasons I will specify later. But this is completely uncalled for, and sickening. I stood at the other end of the stadium just watching this unfold, sadly, unsurprised. I was at Rushden the week before, and for some reason, after a 1-1 draw the 'fans' stormed the pitch. What was saddening was the amount of parents bringing their children onto the pitch. I honestly hope they didn't get involved, if thats the case then thats even worse. I think as soon as they saw why these people had gone onto the field they dragged their kids back. Again, the guys are idiots, and I wish now that the club do something seriously drastic to these people. They are not wanted at my club. What i'm angry about is the people think we were arrogant coming into this division, theres a difference between arrogance and confidence. We were what I beleive to be rightly confident going into this season, and if we had been properly managed for half of the season we would have pushed Stevenage all the way...properly. What mainly annoys me about the division is the quality of opposition, there are some awful, awful footballing teams in this division, the quality of the officials is nothing short of shocking, with many scared of the occasion of matches with us in and couldn't make a decision. I know most of you won't agree with me, but thats how I see it,
