  1. Harvey Danger They're a sort of odd mesh of rock, piano pop and indie. You can download their third album for free at harveydanger.com though.
  2. Ringo said that watching that movie first hurt his impression of The Departed. Of course, he thought Internal Affairs was a heaping pile of shit. >_>
  3. Pink Floyd's first album without Roger Waters, A Momentary Lapse of Reason 7/10 Album has some high points but, most of it is just Gilmour trying to sound like Waters.
  4. Infernal Affairs - 10/10 The movie that The Departed is a remake of. Figured I'd see it before I saw The Departed this weekend and I was not disappointed at all. Just an awesome movie. Can't wait to see if there were any plot points changed for the remake though.
  5. I liked the episode, as well as the flashback. I thought Sun had gotten pregnant from Jae but, there was obviously more time than I expected between that and the island. So, it's obvious now that they just had sex on the island, after the island solved Jin's... umm... man problems. Sawyer was the best part of the episode though. I was hoping Sayid kicking some "Other" ass would be the best part but, that obviously didn't happen.
  6. Yeah. That's Danny Trejo. He's also been in Desperado, Heat, GTA: Vice City, From Dusk Til Dawn and Once Upon A Time In Mexico. You don't get much more badass than him.
  7. Kennedy's entrance... that... I mean.. oh my god... it's.. wow...

  9. Life just keeps getting better and better. First "Plane Dead" and now the trailer for this. This'll be awesome.

This. Looks. AWESOME! As a BIG fan of zombie movies (especially bad ones) and a general fan of all horror movies, I can already say that will be one of the best bad zombie movies I've ever seen.
  11. Damn. I heard it didn't come out until October 10th (aka today) so, I didn't bother checking.
  12. Does anyone know if the Official Playstation Magazine with the Guitar Hero II demo came out on newstands today in the US or was it just a release date for subscribers?
  13. Sweeter. I've got something to watch on Friday nights now. Thanks, man.
  14. Sweet. This is something I've always wanted to see on TV but, just never thought it would happen. I hope it's not just an October thing though.
  15. Here's a full story on what KingOfMyWorld just said: GameStop details PS3 preorders -In-store program starts Tuesday morning; $100 deposit required, most stores expecting only eight systems.- GameStop has unveiled its in-store PlayStation 3 preorder campaign to GameSpot, and the retail chain looks to be bracing for a shortage of systems at launch day. Starting Tuesday morning, GameStop and EB Games stores will begin accepting "limited" preorders for the system with a $100 deposit. The preorders are "limited" in that very few will be received, and customers will not be guaranteed a PS3 on its November 17 US launch day. "Most stores will receive a preorder allocation of eight units, while a few select stores will receive 16," a GameStop official said. "In either case, employee purchases will be restricted to a total of no more than two systems per store." As for how the $100 can be paid, the company will accept cash, credit, or trade-in. Last month, the company conducted a test-run of preorders for the Wii and the PS3 at its Hawaii stores. In that one-day campaign, the company required that customers pay for the systems' $50 deposit with trade-in credit. Reservations for the retailer's in-store program will be limited to one per household. The company's online preorder program will be revealed at a later date, "after software and accessory availability dates are confirmed." Source: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6159525.html
  16. That's a pretty solid tracklist... except for Warrant. I still don't know why that song is in the game. I hate it and I doubt even Guitar Hero will make me like it.
  17. The Vanishing - 7/10 Movie should of ended with it's original ending. Would have been more awesome. Billy Madison - 8/10 Never watched the entire thing before. VERY funny though.
  18. Yeah... I didn't think it was "Freebird", due to it being pretty much one long solo in that song. How do they separate the eleven guitar solos though? Are there verses scattered throughout the song or do they trade off? I ask as I've only heard the song probably once or twice.

    South Park

God, yes. Their barely-above-monotone voices when they were facing the PKer in the final battle were completely dead on. And is it wrong of me to think that Stan's "Let's do this!" might have been a subtle Leeroy Jenkins reference? EDIT: ... well, also, Wikipedia points out a more obvious Leeroy reference that I missed because the only part of the actual Teamspeak planning I can clearly remember is the guy who calculated their odds of success to like the fifth decimal.
  20. Yeah... They haven't said anything about the bass/rhythm guitar being available in single player.... unless they're hiding it from us until the game's release. Also, I was looking at the wikipedia page for Guitar Hero II and I saw this... - Marcus Henderson had the following quote in regards to the final song: "You'll know it when it arrives. This is a major, major guitar ass-kicker. It has no less than 11 guitar solos in it." Is that "Freebird" he's talking about or is it an even harder song?
  21. What scene was it? I watched the episode again and didn't notice him...
  22. Well, if you're sure people won't camp out then, you just might get out. If you don't, you've no one to blame but the people who did.
