  1. This may take a while: Absolutely superb performance tonight, especially in that second half. I probably in my 13 years supporting Killie have never seen such a good second half performance in my life. Two goals with eleven men in a local derby is something, getting two with ten me in a local derby is a thing of beauty. I can't sing the praises of our players high enough, whether it be Ford, Taouil, Bryson, Pascali or anyone else in the team, they are all bloody legends. Although I think a big shout has to go to the announcer. I'm sure metalman will agree with me, with things such as The Steptoe song when the Ayr player came out, Here Comes The Girls when they came out at half time, the announcement of "Please Would All Fans Be Reminded To Sit Down In Our All Seated Stadium", "tonights offical attendance is 11,456, thanks to all the Killie fans for coming along, and to top it all off (with the Ayr fans being kept back) "To All Ayr Fans, You Will Be Released Soon ". Legendary. Onto the game though, and yeah we did have a very poor first half. And even though they got a goal through a hand into the net thing, we didn't look like we deserved anything in the half. However, once we got the goal we were different class, even with the sending off of Fernandez we still ruled the show. Craig Bryson is a player to watch out for, as he was superb tonight and is a player that can play at a higher level. I must say that anyone watching the game, that they will not see build up play for the Russell chance in the second half where he missed with the diving header in Scotland for a while. Wee Taouil was different class there. I also, as the name change might suggest have special applause for Manuel Pascali who after our first got booked for not celebrating with the goalscorer, but for jumping the barrier into the Killie fans. Absolute legend that he is. Player Ratings: Alan Combe - Could probably have done better at their first, but outside of that no mistakes from the big man 7/10 James Fowler - Never a captain, never a right back, done his job though, but we have better players 6/10 Frazer Wright - A poor passback and a couple of slack passes. Other than that was commanding at the back 7/10 Simon Ford - A mistake gave them their goal, however, he made amends with two goals to win us the game 9/10 Garry Hay - Lives for Killie. Brilliant running and was our star man in the first half 8/10 Mehdi Taouil - Tricky wee bugger, great for entertainment, good crosser and great finish for the second 8.5/10 Manuel Pascali - Manu, Manuel, Manu, Manuel, Manu, Manuel, MANUEL PASCALI! 9/10 Craig Bryson - Superb running, superb break for the second and has some engine on him 10/10 Wullie Gibson - Did well after the switch to right mid, looked a threat on occasions in the first half, much better in second 8/10 David Fernandez - Played well until elbowing their player in the face. But it seemed to make us play better. 7/10 Allan Russell - The muscle was brilliant. Long bursting runs to beat their defenders. Just couldn't get a goal to wrap up a great performance. 9/10 AYR UNITED, AYR UNITED, WON FUCK ALL AND NEVER WILL! ONE TEAM IN AYRSHIRE!
  2. 1. Maradona 2. Jack Nicklaus 3. Pete Sampras 4. Michael Jordan 5. Muhammed Ali
  3. Hopeless defending. Don't know if Carroll could have done much better with the first though.
  4. Top 6 finish would do me fine, 7th just now, just need a turn of fortune to make these 5 points up. Hoping anyone but Slogger wins the title, he was so confident at the beginning. He's under pressure now.
  5. Today is the day that someone will become a hero. This is what football is all about, ten thousand fans being packed into a shitty little stadium. Raw emotion between the two sets of fans, as we haven't played each other competitively in years. The players know how much this means to us, we have made sure to tell them enough times. Today isn't about getting through to the next round of the cup, it's about putting one over your biggest rivals. This isn't an Old Firm clash or an Edinburgh derby which occur 4 times a year, this is a once every ten years occasion where the Ayrshire derby becomes the biggest derby in Scotland. Hoping for a 3-0 Killie win but I would take any kind of win at this stage.
  6. Paging metalman to this thread! You get your ticket sorted out, cause you better be going, or else I'm going to warn you for not being a true fan Only seven days left before the biggest derby of them all, on paper we should beat them, on the pitch we should hammer them, I just hope the football gods are with us. KTID!
  7. Best Scottish football season ever! Why do I get the feeling you've waited for 3 years for the ideal opportunity to mention that? We mention it every time the ideal opportunity comes up. Everytime someone says 65 we always remind them of when that we won the league that year, and as such it is the greatest year of them all. It also came one year before the worst
  8. I will either be brilliant in this next race, or I will be last by a mile due to my strategy. I hope it's the first one.
  9. Brilliant draw for neutral football fans who want to watch some cracking games of football. Hoping that the Inter - Man Utd and Liverpool - Real games will be on separate nights, as they will be amazing games to watch on a Tuesday and Wednesday night at the student union.
  10. Anyone else think Sparky's time at Man City could be over very soon? Shocking result so far.
  11. Seriously! I turned this over at half time because I needed to do some studying for my exam tomorrow. Slightly pissed off now
  12. That'd me be, Zaz. Ah, ok, just noticed you joined the public game. Wish you'd gotten in quick enough to be my partner, as it looks like my teammate signed up and then just buggered off Damn, sucks to hear if that's the case. Checking when your partner signed up, seems I still would've been too late to join you either way. Sorry. Out of curiosity, and this is also a question to those who have played this before, what sort of penalties are given to teams that have inactive driver(s), one driver only in the team and such (unless it's just being in a disadvantage in the Constuctor's Championship)? Yeah basically just constructors. Also we can't share our data setups with partners to get a better set-up.
  13. As you can see from Trips' post the race has taken place and lap by lap results can be accessed. Stupid race though
  14. Over confidence here. I think by the end of the season we're just going to be sending our cars out to kamikaze into yours
  15. Anyone see Ronaldo's childish kick-out against Michael Dawson today. Was lucky that Dawson didn't make anything out of it. Ronaldo is a good player but he is one childish prick Blackburn: I'm guessing it's time for Paul Ince to go, I don't know why but I think if he doesn't go sometime this week then they could be beat by Stoke at the weekend.
  16. Game has begun and qualifying results have been posted, and it does provide some good reading for those who aren't in one of the big teams! Qualifying and races will happen at 4PM GMT every day, so the race for Melbourne will occur at 4 tomorrow afternoon. Good luck lads.
  17. Just trying to expand my sporting horizons And also, Scotland does have a few Ice Hockey teams, and I've been to a few games with one of my mates, although I didn't have a clue what was happening. So ha!
  18. Confused me here, it may be that it's quarter past three in the morning here, but yeah explain this statement to a poor tired Scottish bloke! Unless it was sarcasm, in which case I have nothing
  19. Just need another two people to join before I can begin.
  20. I fucked up my practices completely there. I pushed my car to fast and it crashed so now I'm stuck with hardly any data on which is the best set-up
  21. Yeah so I have previously run one of these before that was successful and another two which were not successful However, I am back for one last attempt, so here goes. Basically, Batracer is a free online Formula One management simulation, where you join and register to race as a team. You control your mechanical stuff, your strategy for practices, qualifying and races. It is all just a bit of fun, which needs about ten minutes a day and should be finished within 20 days. I though with everyone nearing holidays and such then we could try. I will be here to answer questions on the game and hope we can get a bit of banter going with this, as we did with the first game. The address for the game is: http://batracer.com/-cj?&D&35084 and the private password for the game is: Warfare. We need another nine people before we start but we can have a maximum of another nineteen, so get started and ask any questions that you need answered. EDIT: We are using the 2008 class by the way.
  22. HTTK's been dealt with, no need to get yourself involved now either
  23. Yes, but you questioned why Bradley moved to Germany when it would have been "better" for him to stay in the US, which in my view it wouldn't have been. The MLS is always going to have this problem, as the holy grail of football occurs within the European leagues. Seriously, is it better for him to be playing in Germany against teams like Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen, against some of the best in the world, than against teams like LA Galaxy or D.C United? Looking at your league and the squads within it, I can only see it as a place for the big guys to earn their last pay day, or for the youngsters to build up their footballing knowledge before moving abroad. The other players in between these ages are just there because they aren't good enough to play abroad. The MLS is not going to become a major sport in the US because you rate it as maybe fourth most popular sport, whereas in Europe and South America, where it's considered the best, it is the number one sport. It can never be seen a major thing in the US because of how it rates against the other sports.
  24. I doubt there is anything you lot can do for at least the next few years to stop all your talent moving from the MLS to Europe. It doesn't matter who it is, even for the ordinary football ( ) player, the European leagues are where they want to be. Take the Bradley example, he decided that playing for someone like Gladbach was a better chance for him to show other European clubs what he can do, rather than if he staying in the US. As I said I don't think you can get out of this situation for a while yet, and I continue to believe that many European football fans see the MLS as the place where old and past it football players go to be over paid for their greatly receding talents, and I can see why many think that after taking a look through some of your squad lists.
