Was he the reason they won the Champions league though, as I've said against Barca he didn't play well at all, which might be said about all the knock-out games (or "big games")? Last seasons Champions League I thought was a tale of defences, with the two best defences meeting in the final.

So the results of the Ballon d'Or have been published, and no surprise to anyone Cristiano Ronaldo won it, and by quite a margin too. For anyone unaware of what the Ballon d'Or, it is a French Magazine's award for the (supposed) best player in the world, with a panel of 96 journalists voting on who they want to win. The results of this years came back as such: I know I'm going to piss some of you United/Premiership fans off here, but I don't believe the right man won the award. True, Ronaldo had a great season last year, well except for going missing at the Euro Championship, but 42 goals speaks for itself. However, having watched probably more La Liga football than Premiership games, having Messi in second and giving him half the points of Ronaldo is scandalous. In my opinion Messi is the best player in the world, and by quite a bit from Ronaldo. Seriously, on his day I would class Kaka as being better than Ronaldo. For one thing, Ronaldo doesn't turn up for the big games a la Barca in the semi's last season, games in the Euro's, games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. True he may have scored in some of these games, but scoring goals alone doesn't make you great. So I await the abuse for that part and hope maybe a few of you agree that Messi is a better player. Secondly, where on the list is Andreas Iniesta, cracking player who is the driving force of Barca, and makes Xavi twice the player he is.

Really not keen on One at all. Firstly, because his experience of Scottish football is through Partick and Raith, no offence to those two teams but Killie is a big step up from they two. Secondly, we need a goalscorer, One is not one of them. He hasn't scored over double figures for a team he has played for in a season, and that was in the Scottish First Division, the lower reaches of English football and Finland. We need someone who can play up front alongside Fernandez, so basically a lone striker role, I still say Sammon is that man, but if not then we need someone better than One in.

Serbian under 21 international, names actually Tosic though, bought from Partizan. 8 Million reported price for him, which I think's a bit risky for a guy who hasn't been reported about much. But hey, he might be another Vidic.

On the first tackle when I seen it during live play, I thought definite yellow, him bringing SWP down and a tackle from behind and all. However, we get the benefit of something the refs don't which is replays from every angle on the pitch. To me the ref's position has made him unable to see the change in the ball direction of the tackle, and he doesn't get much help from his assistant on that side, who I think flagged for a City throw. However, people get dodgy bookings week in, week out. I've seen bookings given for much less than that. But you would think a player of Ronaldo's footballing ability would know that if you are on a booking then the last thing you should do would be to stick your hands out to hit the ball away. I don't care if he says he heard a whistle or a beep or whatever he believes he heard, put the ball in the net with a header and ask questions later. The only good thing about this weeks football was Tugay scored a goal. Everybody loves a Tugay goal, no matter who you support, they are things of beauty.

I would actually be so devastated if Lochlee were to win now. I am so hyped for a real Ayrshire derby, I know we usually get beat down there, but the image of eight thousand plus fans in Somerset for what will be the last derby match there shall be one that will stay with me forever. Even now I can predict that the tenth of January will decide whether my year will be excellent or shit. 'Mon the Killie!

I only count one that they beat us, but yeah it doesn't matter, genuinely nice guy and someone with a such a passion for the beautiful game, it is sad to hear of this news.

Got beat in the Champions League Final last season with Man U winning 1-0. Second in the previous two seasons with Chelsea beating me to the league in both. Managed to get 27million for Fabregas after he put in a transfer request, so I used that to bring in Villa. Looking good so far this season, beat Man U 2-1, Liverpool 4-1 and Ipswich 7-0 so far. Currently top but only played seven games.

Tommy Burns for me, knows the set-up, knows the team. McGhee would probably be a decent choice as well, but I can see him doing a McLeish/Smith and going back to club football if a club was to make the call. Souness is a big no-no. Unless we want a team filled with Rangers players. Remember what he did to Blackburn after all.

As an American he should like American Football. The closest thing to playing like a team in the NFL in football, is Blackburn.

We suck all the time. Defeat is something you come to expect being a Scotland fan, but our fans are probably the best in the world.
