I think it's pretty safe to say that it's a strong possibility that Kevin Spacey might be losing the hair, pointing the finger and clashing with a man in a cape next year.

The actor confirmed with IESB today that he has indeed been approached to play Lex Luthor in Bryan Singer's "Superman".

Spacey, who worked with Singer on "The Usual Suspects", says he'd like to work with the young director again, and at the moment can see only his position as Artistic Director of the Old Vic in London causing a conflict. But having said that, nothing's set in stone.

Should Spacey find time in his 'busy' schedule, he'll join Brandon Routh - Superlad - on set in Sydney next year.

Well, it's Superman which I've never liked, but it could be decent. With decent actors and a decent script I could be tempted to rent it maybe once it came out. Would never pay to see it mind you.

Wow, that website is sure funny...course he's bloody busy!

Ugh. If they cast Mischa Barton as Lois though, nothing less of a miracle would allow me to see this movie.

Rosenbaum > Spacey.

not only that...but this new guy that'll be playing Superman doesn't do it for me. Christopher Reeve wanted Tom Wellings, and no one else to play his part as Superman, and look who they go and cast. They couldn't wait another year or so to make this movie before Smallville ran it's five year contract up with WB.
