Love Song Help

AJ

Recommended Posts

I've looked through endless amounts of track listings for love song albums at amazon and I haven't really seen anything.

I'm looking for love(ish) songs along the lines of Amazed by Lonestar or Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden. Ones that are happy really... not ones that are sad love songs.

Anyway, suggest away... much thanks in advance.

Try Jim Brickman ft. Martina McBride - Valentine. I'll have a look through my song cache for more and add them when I find them.

EDIT: Maybe also Darren Hayes - Insatiable or Seal - Kiss From a Rose

I made my girlfriend a CD last year that she LOVED. It was full of songs that I thought would make her happy. Here is the track list, maybe you can come use a few of them:

1. I Shall Return (Gov't Mule)

2. Reunion (Collective Soul)

3. Full Circle (Aerosmith)

4. Home Is Where The Heart Is (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

5. Yours (Blues Traveler)

6. Seven Turns (Allman Brothers Band)

7. Comin' Home (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

8. Here Comes My Girl (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)

9. Here Without You (3 Doors Down)

10. I Need You (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Keep in mind I made this for my girlfriend after I left for college. Hence songs link Home Is Where The Heart Is, Comin' Home, & Reunion.

And here are a few more that you could use:

Soul Refreshing (Robert Randolph & The Family Band)

You'll Accomp'ny Me (Bob Segar & The Silver Bullet Band)

Of these, i'd suggest Soul Refreshing because its a very upbeat song. Look up the lyrics online.

You could use any of these I guess...

Savage Garden - Crash And Burn

Jeff Buckley - Everybody Here Wants You (awesome song...check it out)

Garth Brooks - The Red Strokes (another awesome song IMO)

David Gray - Be Mine or This Years Love or Sail Away

U2 - Sweetest Thing

I'll think of some more for later...

Oh yeah, and Kiss From A Rose by Seal = Classic!

Manowar are probably the only band with which you can scare off/start fisticuffs with emo/punk geeks with one song (ala IWC), yet then get down and dirty with the other half with another of thier songs.

One of the many reasons why Manowar are great....
