They look like they are doing a fantastic job creating this, the Characters look great as do the special effects, especially the Heart of Gold, wish we could have heard Marvin in the trailer. Just give me a "Life... don't talk to me about life."

Can't wait to see the Guide scenes, there are supposed to be word-for-word with cool animations displaying them just as Douglas Adams wrote them in the book.

I did think Mos Def was an odd choice, but then again I grew up with the awesome David Dixon as Ford.

The original radio series was awesome, as was the TV series. I love the books, too. i'll defintiely be checking this out.

EDIT: Just saw the preview, Zaphod's missing a head, and the Vogons aren't nearly ghastly enough.

In an interview the directer said that they couldn't afford the CGI needed for Zaphod so they had to compromise. Since a literal adaption if the first book would cost well over 100 Million.

The trailer looks great, and in all of it, they showed Jodrell Bank, the big satiellite place!! I've been there!! How sad.

Wasn't the question actually "What do you get when you multiply six by seven?"

Or rather, they were going to get a slightly screwed question because the Earth computer matrix went wrong (with the humans replacing the original apes), so when they discerned it from Aurther's brain using the well-known scientific method of a Scrabble bag, they got "What do you get when you multiply six by eight?".

...Or did I just misinterpret that bit entirely?
