Yesterday Stoke beat Leeds 4-0 away. Alot of people, including myself i'll admit, thought it was a bad idea bringing back Tony Pulis as manager and up untill yesterday they were right. But Pulis has made some great loan signing such as Lee Hendrie and Rory Delap who i hope will put us in the top half of the table, especially if we can sign Lee Hendrie in the January Transfer Window.

Must give a lot of credit to my boys today. We took the game to Villa last night with six first-team players out and played with such a passion and commitment like I haven't seen from Leicester for years. Hendo's penalty save in the last minute of normal time was a thing of glory, I've never celebrated so much in my life. The standing ovation for the players at the end was also excellent.

Luton defender Davis has stroke

Luton Town boss Mike Newell has revealed that Hatters defender Sol Davis suffered a stroke on Saturday.

Davis, 27, had the stroke on the Luton team coach on the way to Sunday's game at Ipswich and is in a specialist unit at Cambridge's Addenbrookes Hospital.

Newell told his club's website: "Sol has made a bit of an improvement but he lost feeling in his left side and it has affected his speech.

"It might take six months before he makes a complete recovery."

Newell was speaking after his side's 5-0 defeat at Portman Road.

Davis suffered the stroke soon after he and his team-mates left Luton on Saturday to travel to Ipswich.

"We have kept quiet until now but that puts everything into perspective," added Newell. "I don't want distorted reports or sensationalism.

"Although we are not making excuses for our performance, our thoughts are all with Sol. I am not sure if that has had an effect on the players but it cannot really have helped."

Davis moved to Luton from Swindon for £60,000 in 2002 and has made over 150 appearances for the Hatters.

I saw that on the news earlier, horrible to hear. Been quite a few nasty injuries/conditions so far this season, what with Cech and his fracture and our Adam Tann with his cancer. Not cool to hear.

Oh, and I hate football right now. Unless you turn the tables upside down, then we are kings of division 2.
