First of all, a little backstory:

Colds suck. They make you have to stay inside all the time.

Addams Family marathons rule.

Colds suck. They make you get little sleep.

48-straight hours of the Addams Family rule.

It was a glorious mixture.

Anyways, throughout parts of the marathon, TV Land would air advertisements for their Top 10 Best TV Dads shindig they'll be doing soon. Which got me to thinking, ten good TV dads? The best I could do was:

1. Homer Simpson

2. Gomez Addams

3. Dan Conner

4. Tony Soprano

5. Archie Bunker

6. Fred Sanford

7. Al Bundy

8. Peter Griffin

9. Frank Costanza

10. Herman Munster

Hmmm... this is a tough one. Both of you listed some good ones. What do we base this on though. Best charcters or the ones that were actually the best dads? I'll go with it from the idea of them just being the best characters that were dads rahter than how good a dad the characters were.

1. Homer Simpson

2. Al Bundy

3. Peter Griffin

4. Frank Costanza

5. Dan Conner

6. Tony Soprano

7. Jack Bauer

8. Mike Seaver

9. Tony Macelli

10. Mike Keaton

This is not in order of my favorite. I will just list them as I think of them.

Vic Mackey - The Shield

Jimmy Hughes - Yes, Dear

Peter Griffin - Family Guy

Arthur Spooner - King of Queens

Frank Costanza - Seinfeld

Sean Finnerty - Grounded For Life

Walt Finnerty - Grounded For Life

Bill Miller - Still Standing

Sandy Cohen - The O.C.

David Creegan - Touching Evil

Kevin Hunter - Street Time

I have eleven listed. But that's alright.

Legend's got you there Midget, even if Cubert is just created from a piece of the Professor's skin, he's still technically the Professor's son :P

I've only seen a grand total of, what, 3? 4 episodes including them? Anyways, I never paid much attention to them. I did love the episode where they bought out Planet Express, though.

Mrs. Cartman

Red Foreman

I can't believe I didn't even think of these two! Red is a great tv dad. He's probably a more realistic portrayal than most.

You're right about Mrs Cartman. She slides in there on a technicality. I wonder if they'll ever do a "Who is Cartman's mom?" episode.

No Particular order

Vic Mackey-Gotta love The Sheild

Homer Simpson- kinda obvious why

Jack Bauer- Always a good thing to have a dad who could kill someone in a second:)

Sandy Cohen- Meh, he's only in here cos I like The O.C

Chandler Bing- Bada-Bing[/cheesyjoke]

Thats all I can think of right now.
