There we go. Some of them might not be classed as 'rock', and I'll probably have missed out a few bands I prefer to the bottom three, but hey, it's early...

That's why Ringmaster > *, fo shizzle my nizzle.

And for anyone who asks if it has to be in order, or that there choice is in "no order", well, the order affects the scoring, so it should be in order, as the higher bands get more points.

anyone who has nirvana in the top 10 over greats like these have problems.

Not wanting to kick an argument off, but what about the people who pick Green Day, The Smiths, Matthew Good Band, The Beach Boys?

I just find it funny that Nirvana are the "go to" band when it comes to taking cheap shots. Plus the fact that some of the bands in your list could be classified as over-rated (Guns N Roses, as I know a lot of people don't like them), cheesy (Van Halen), one trick ponies (AC/DC have released pretty similar music throughout thier career, very little change) amongst other things, you don't really need to start swinging jibes at other peoples music tastes.

But that defeats the whole purpose of this entire thing. It is people's favorite bands, not the greatest bands.

And as much as I dislike Nirvana, they have a knack for writing pop songs with alternative aspects. And not only that, they helped usher in a new generation of music... whether that music is good or not doesn't matter.

1. Queen

2. Freak Kitchen

3. Rage Against The Machine

5. The Mars Volta

6. The Beatles

7. Muse

8. Depeche Mode (Wrote kick arse tunes)

9. Primus

10. Oasis

I tried to list 'rock' bands and bands I believe that are the 'greatest', not just what I like. I like every band on there, I put them in order on pretty much overall skill, success, influence and just how much I like them and their songs. Saying that you may ask "Who the fuck are Freak Kitchen? And why the fuck are they so high?" My answer would be "Freak Kitchen are awesome, they blow pretty much all of the rest of the shit on the list out of the water, go and listen to them!". They combine incredibly catchy, poppy choruses, guitar solo's and heavy blues rock all in one, it's beautiful.
