Exploring rock and roll - for rock music lovers means opening your mind to new possibilities. Hundreds of new rock artists emerge from the ether every single year. But only a handful of these new rock bands make it in the competitive world of modern-day rock. Then theres Rock and Roll in the 60's and 70's, hell even the 80's, where it meant something to the world, when Music meant something to people, where rock and roll was alive.

So here we are, saying thank you to the golden rock artists that make it happen, that make you buy tickets to see the show, that make you research their lives and their place in music history. This is the list of the top 25 greatest Rock and Roll bands ALIVE!!! WHo will be Number 1? Led Zepplin? The Who? The Rolling Stones?

This is the nomination thread where you vote 10 of your favourite rock bands, and the more users who vote for them, the more points they gain to make the number 1.

Your favourite band though(your number 1) will gain 5 points, while number 2 and 3 gain 3 points each. 4 and 5 gain 2 points, and the rest 1 point.
