System of A Down

4. MEZMERIZE

I know it may seem odd for this album to be placed this low, considering how amazing it is. The only thing that really detracts from the great quality is the poor quantity. It just seems so short. There are essentially 10 tracks [without the Intro] and it just seems a bit too short.

STAND-OUT TRACKS: BYOB, Cigaro, Violent Pornography

3. STEAL THIS ALBUM

It is essentially the odds and ends of their entire catalogue and that isn't a bad thing. In fact, many of the songs on Steal This Album are better than their first two full length albums. But it just seems to be too much fluff for my liking.

STAND-OUT TRACKS: Boom!, Mr. Jack, Fuck The System

2. SYSTEM OF A DOWN

The only reason it isn't higher is because simply put the song writing wasn't as great as the Toxicity. This is an amazing CD.

STAND-OUT TRACKS: Suite-Pee, Sugar, DDevil

1. TOXICITY

Amazing CD. The sound is the great, the songs are tight and they just create good CD after good CD. I don't think people who fully listen to this CD can say a bad thing about System of a Down because they master their art on this CD.

STAND-OUT TRACKS: Prison Song, Chop Suey and Toxicity

= 1. Mezmerize:

A completly different take on the System style, I can't really rank it ahead of Toxicity but for me they are about the same. Toxicity has just about greater quality songs - but I love the way Mezmerize flows through 37 minutes of brillance.

Key Tracks: This Cocaine..., Sad Statue & Lost in Hollywood

=1. Toxicity:

Not as all rounded as Mezmerize musically but has amazing energy through the trash rifts that Malakian produces throughout and Serj's singing.

Key Tracks: Prison Song, Forest & ATWA

3. System of a Down:

More darker than the rest of their albums and to a good effect, this is the System album for more negative moods - and in turn features their most deepest work.

Key Tracks: Know, Sugar & War?

4. Steal This Album!

Doesn't have the flow of the other albums, feels very chucked together (like it was) and while containing great songs it doesn't for me feel as good as the others.

Key Tracks: A.D.D., Highway Song & Roulette

Favorite songs not on any of the main 4 CDs: Marmalade, Johnny, Storaged, Metro and Shame

4. Self Titled - A Great CD, not their best though

Stand Out Songs: Suite-Pee, Sugar, Ddevil, Mind, Darts, P.L.U.C.K.

Here's where it gets really difficult for me

3. Steal This Album - Amazing Album, just not in my top 2

Stand Out Songs: Chic'n Stu, Innervision, Boom!, I-E-A-I-A-I-O, Pictures, Fuck The System, Roulette

2. Toxicity - Amazing Album, the CD that got me into System of a Down

Stand Out Songs: Prison Song, Chop Suey!, Forest, ATWA, Science, Aerials

1. Mezmerize - One of my favorite CDs right now, I only hope Hynotize doesn't dissapoint

Stand Out Songs: BYOB, Revenga, Cigaro, Sad Statue, Old School Hollywood, Lost in Hollywood
