    • Vince McMahon opens the show, he's inside the ring. And receiving a hefty amount of boos.
    • McMahon says that in case people missed his announcement last night on the WWF's premier Sunday Night show, Heat...
    • He explains that Shawn Michaels will not be able to defend his title, and that he has declared the WWF Title VACANT.
    • He says that there's going to be a 10-man battle royal tonight to determine which WWF Superstar Kane is going to be facing at Wm14 for the World Title.

    • Vince cuts him off, and says no way in hell. Because tonight, Rhodes and Scaggs will have their hands full.
    • Vince says that Rhodes and Scaggs will NOT be eligible to enter the Battle Royal, because they're going to have a match tonight.
    • Rhodes and Scaggs will be facing his associates Bartholomew and Robert tonight in a tag match!
    • Rhodes and Scaggs look none-too-pleased about it, McMahon just smiles his nasty smile at Rhodes and Scaggs.
  • Suicidal Kidd & Brian Christopher def. Scott Taylor & Taka Michinoku (M:88 C:71 O:79)
    • Tag Action! Heels and Faces! Light heavyweights!

    • HHH blames Kane, apparently, and says that he should be put behind bars for the assault he did on HBK last week.
    • HHH says that Vince bypassing Shawn and DX, and calling for the Battle Royal was a bad move... because DX was in charge.
    • HHH then explains that DX is going to be defending the title, and walking away with it at Wrestlemania... and there was nothing, and noone that was going to stop DX from doing so.
  • Associates Robert and Bartholomew def. Dustin Rhodes and Charlie Scaggs (M:80 C:65 O:72)

    • Rhodes and Scaggs had a lot of near-falls... but couldn't get the win. Then came Gunn and Holly on a comeback.
    • During a brawl sequence, Rhodes and Gunn fight outside, while Scaggs and Holly, the legal men, duke it out in the middle of the ring. The ref gets distracted by Barry Windham, who came down the ramp. And Bob Holly hits a massive Low Blow on Scaggs to grab the pinfall win.

Well this kind of messes up a few things, specially since I figured Jarrett was on a collision course with Triple H, so now that's leaving him without an opponent. Rocky/Faarooq is simmering, much like Scaggs/Rhodes against The Associates. These really need a boost of fire.

Hmmm interesting series of events. Jarrett vs Kane. Something has to give there or you got a Face vs Face match at 'Mania, which Isn't a good idea. Kane makes a better heel at this point, because Jarrett is your number one face (Austin asside). What happens with Hunter from here is really a mystery, because all your faces are locked up in feuds, unless he works his way into the WM Title match somehow?

And who is Crush out of intrest?

Well placing Jarrett in the main event was a good move. I have to disagree with MGW... turning either man heel would hurt their momentum aty the moment (as they only recently had their face turns). I would think having McMahon insert HHH into the main event (they protest or Vince does the heel boss thing and doesn't want the faces to win wtc) would be good, or maybe even having a "new associate" turn up next week on Raw and get inserted into the main event (ie: a free agent or WCW steal).

I personally like the slower build up on some of the feuds, and love the Quebecers vs LOD storyline. Please don't appease LOD's ego. Have them do the J-O-B on the P-P-V.

BTW, what about Rhodes and Scaggs taking on the Outlaws. They need a storyline and are the Tag Champs.

That's why I think teh only way he can pull this off is by adding a heel in the Main Event. Probably wasn't very clear with the way I put it though. Can't think who he could steel from WCW. So Hunter is teh logical choice to add to Mania.

LOD are a good team, but It's time to push other tallent. Rocky vs Faroqq at Mania will be good, provided you can get enough heat on the feud before then...

When are you going to fire The Bushwackers? They suck ass!

Didn't really dig Double J winning the battle royal, I thought Shamrock would be a more credible threat because he has the right persona for the fans to believe he would have a chance against Kane.

Double J needs to turn because of three words, 'Aint I Great!'

God, no, there shalt be no Jarrett turn or I shall kill you twice. You've built him up as a great face, which seems impossible when you look at today's Jarrett.

Bushwackers simply took down your overall rating, but for some reason I just see you're on a whole nostalgia trip with them and The Quebecers.

  • Contract Signing Time! (Rating:88)

"No Chance!" Vince McMahon walks out, flanked by the Associates (Barry, Bartholomew and Robert). He marches down the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. The ring is set up with red carpet, a large wooden table and a Wrestlemania banner across the apron. Vince steps into the ring with his Associates, and whips out a microphone.

    "Ladies and gentlemen..."

    Big "ASS-HOLE!" chant goes on.

"...why don't you all just SHAAAADAP! I've got something to say!"

    The chant grows bigger.

"Tonight... TONIGHT... we're going to have the contract signing for the MAIN EVENT of the biggest wrestle extravaganza in the entire world. We're going to have the contract signing for the main event of WRESTLEMANIA IV!"

    Mixed cheers and boos.

"Introducing first, the man who beat 29 other superstars at the Royal Rumble... the man originally slated to face Shawn Michaels for the WWF Title at WrestleMania... the very man who took Shawn Michaels out of action two weeks ago on RAW... I give you, the monster... KAAAAAAAANE!"

The lights grow dim and red, and the familiar organ music starts playing. Firebolts shoot out of the ramp as Kane walks out, flanked by Paul Bearer. They make their way down the aisle as the fans cheer him on. Kane steps into the ring, and sets the ringposts on fire! McMahon flinches for a moment, before regaining his composition.

"...and his opponent, replacing the injured Shawn Michaels by besting 9 men in a Battle Royale last week. Jeff Jarrett!"

"TRADITION." Jeff Jarrett walks out with a big-ass silver-coated guitar. The fans pop big for JJ, who plays to the crowd. Jarrett is cautious of the Associates, McMahon and Kane. He steps into the ring with the guitar, all ready for anything. Vince continues.

"Let me start off by saying that there will be absolutely no physical altercations tonight... that's a fast way to get yourself taken out of the Main Event, and straight to damn unemployment!" Vince smiles a bit, but then turns into a frown. "Before we sign anything here, I want to say that I wouldn't want either of you to be WWF Champion. And I mean that from the bottom of my black heart."

Vince growls and he turns to Kane.

"You took out my Champion two weeks ago, you abomination, you FREAK! You took out Shawn Michaels, and you took out the biggest WrestleMania Main Event, EVER! But as long as you show up for WrestleMania, as long as these people eat you up and pay big bucks to see you, Kane, you're going to make me a whole lot of money... and that's MY bottom line."

    Vince then turns to JJ.

"As for you... you're the last man I would have wanted to win last week's Battle Royale. You know what, Jarrett? You sicken me! You think you're the second coming of Bret Hart? Let me tell you something, you're nothing without me! I put your father out of business because it made me happy, and nothing would make me happier than burrying you down so far the god-damn card that even little kids won't even want to watch you wrestle. But as it is, you won last week's match fair and square... damnit, if there's one thing that Vince McMahon is, is that I'm a man of my word! You're going to get your title shot at WrestleMania! Now, sign the damn contract!"

Paul Bearer signs the contract for his client, and Kane looks like he's ready to throw down tonight... if not for McMahon's warning earlier. Jarrett takes the pen, and stares into McMahon's eyes with pure hatred, as he signs his name. Vince smiles as he grabs the contract.

"There we have it. Our main event for WrestleMania 14! Jeff Jarrett versus Kane, for the WWF Championship! I'm sure..."

Jarrett then grabs the microphone from Vince.

"Before you go on running your mouth again, Vince, I'm going to tell you one thing. Don't ever, ever talk about my father again. I could care less about you and your rules... or these three stooges you call "Associates". You talk about my family like that again, and I'm going to make sure to hunt you down to the ends of this earth... I'm going to take out every single on of your associates, one guitar at a time... and then, I'm going to stick this guitar straight up your ass, that you're going to have to take off your shirt to take a crap. Do we have an understanding?"

Vince's face turns into a mask of fury. "How dare you speak to me li-"

"Are you Ready!?" Dx's music starts up as Hunter Hearst Helmsley walks down the aisle, with a brown clipboard. Vince McMahon glances over as HHH starts talking on a mic that he's brought out.

"Hold up, hold up, hold up. I've got papers here... I've got papers, witnessed and signed by our own DX Lawyers that I've got a legitimate shot to the WWF Title. I'm going to have to tell you this face-to-face... Mr. McMahon, I don't think that you're doing what's best for the company."

"What do you mean?" Vince growls, obviously angry that someone had the audacity to interfere him.

"See, what's best for DX is what's best for the Company. You don't want a psychotic monster like Kane to be holding the WWF Title. You also don't want some Bret Hart wanna-be in Jeff Jarrett holding the WWF Title. You even said it yourself, as much as everyone in this arena hates it, you don't want either man to be holding that title belt when Wrestlemania ends. Come on, Mr. McMahon, you wanted Shawn Michaels to come out on top after WrestleMania, not because he was the logical choice, but because he was the ONLY choice. DX is revolutionizing the entire wrestling world, and you don't want the WWF to fall behind."

Vince's face turns from anger into illumination.

"Vince, you've got one choice. DX's lawyers have drawn up papers, papers that say that Shawn Michaels wants me... Hunter Hearst Helmsley, to compete for the WWF Title at WrestleMania in his place."

HHH hands the papers over to Vince who browses over them.

"You jumped the gun last week, Mr. McMahon, and you're going to have to solve this problem. See, you're going to have to knock Jeff Jarrett out of that Main Event picture, because his win last week does nothing to change what's been written in these papers. It's going to be me... against Kane at WrestleMania... and you know, you know deep down in your heart that it's the only way to go!"

Vince is confused, but then a big, wide grin spreads across his face.

"Hunter, you're right. You're right! I don't want Jeff Jarrett vs. Kane at Wrestlemania... it's not the right way to go. In light of this... "evidence" that you've brought forth... YOU are going to be fighting for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 14!"

The crowd boos loudly. A smile spreads across HHH's face. Vince continues.

"And as you've said, I'm not a man to be left behind by the times... I agree with that! Because at WrestleMania 14, everyone is going to see something that has never happened in WrestleMania history! Because at WrestleMania 14, the WWF Championship will be on the line... as it will be you, Hunter Hearst Helmsley... versus Kane!"

Vince glances over at Jarrett, and gets in his face.

"Versus Jeff Jarrett in a THREE-WAY DANCE in the Main Event! And BY GOD, if that's not moving forward, I don't know what is!"

The fans explode in cheer after listening to this piece of news.

"No Chance! No Chance in Hell!" Vince's music hits as he powerwalks his way out of the ring with the Associates and leaves HHH, JJ and Kane stunned inside the ring. HHH is pissed and he can't believe at what just happened. Jarrett just smiles, as he stares at Kane and Hunter, and then at Vince.

Jim Ross screams out before the show ends. "OH MY GOD! Mr. McMahon has just spoken, and it's going to be a three-way dance, ladies and gentlemen! A three-way dance for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 14!!! What's going to happen!? This is a complete shocker! TUNE IN NEXT WEEK!"

Although it was a given, it was handled very well. Looking forward to Mania very much.

Mero vs Shamrock at WM looks set, I was wondering what you'd to with Ken, seeing as Rocky and Faroqq are set to lock horns. Also I'd like to see Faroqq make Rock beat all the members before he takes him on at Mania.

Interesting choice of team to take on The Outlaws, was expecting it to be LOD.

Overall, WM14 looks solid so far.

Also nice to see you catching Nitro on ratings :D

Just a small detail - but Vince didn't use the "No Chance" theme music until late 1998. I think it was around the time of "Break Down" - when he unveiled his "Master Plan" that would stop Stone Cold ever winning the WWF Title again.

But a good read, and I'm really looking forward to Wrestlemania.
