AS I LAY DYING, GWAR, IN FLAMES, TRIVIUM, CANNIBAL CORPSE, TERROR, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, BEHEMOTH, THE CHARIOT and THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD have been confirmed for the second installment of Sounds of the Underground tour, according to MTV.com.

The Sounds of the Underground organizers are taking a different approach to this summer's festival by keeping the number of bands on the bill down and extending the length of set times. Last year most bands got no more than 30 minutes to play.

While dates for the trek — including the official launch date — are still being worked out, Sounds of the Underground will return to Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as cities in Texas, New England and western Canada. Tickets will go on sale in late March, reports MTV.com.

More bands will be announced in the coming weeks.

I think Gigantour will end up being better than Ozzfest again this year.

But SotU might not be bad. I may go for GWAR and In Flames if it comes nearby and isn't too expensive.

Gigantour had DEP. 'Nuff said.

I thought DEP was among the worst bands at Gigantour. Then again they're just not my style.

I went for Nevermore, Symphony X, Dream Theater, and Megadeth and I was more than pleased.

This year the rumored bands for Gigantour are Children Of Bodom, Symphony X, and of course Megadeth.

Basically, I think it comes down to who is going to headline the tour. I don't know. Last years tour pretty much rocked, regardless, I will be going to this one, but there are still a few more bands to come.

If they're going by popularity as to headlines this, it'll be Trivium most likely, but personally I think either GWAR or Behemoth should headline.

I know its what you'd prefer, but Behemoth wouldn't headline over someone like Cannibal Corpse, IMO.

Neither of the listed bands will headline. They will annouce the headliner last like they did last year I am sure. I can't see who they would put as a headliner, but I guess we will have to wait on it.

You should go just because of Behemoth and subsequently get your face blasted off. The rest of the bands are filler material
