I'm hitting myself for not replying in this and reading it when it first started because right now I feel it may be one of, if not the best, diary on these boards and definately is not getting credit like it should so I'll speak up and just say how amazed I am that you've wrote such an amazing diary.

It's like a generic indy federation, that slowly grew, got their own television show and is now just becoming their own promotion. You're introducing the titles gradually, not all at once and when they're needed and Scott Lost should get a healthy reign but now I'm getting anxious for when someone finally defeats Halo.

Keep up the awesome work magell!

Patterson: “I said Kashmere was on the ropes in the last match and Halo really was on the ropes at the end. Spade almost had his number and he even used his own death valley driver against him.”

Guppie: “We’ll be right back after a short commercial break.”

Segment 4: It’s a Celebration

We come back from the commercial with Halo and Johnny Spade in the ring. Halo sticks his hand out and Spade looks wary about taking it but the crowd tells him to. Spade takes Halo’s hand and Halo pulls him forward and into a hug as the former tag team partners reunite. Halo raises Spade’s hand into the air and the crowd goes crazy for the duo. Spade takes the belt from Halo and puts it around his waist as Halo calls for the mic.

Halo: “Johnny, we’ve faced off quite a few times since we quit being a tag team. We’ve fought in singles matches and tag matches. While I’ve always managed to pull out the win in singles action it’s always been tough. Tonight may have been the toughest match I’ve had against you and it may have been the toughest title defense I’ve ever had. You hit me with some wicked moves and you even pulled out one of mine but I wouldn’t stay down. I didn’t know if you would stay down either. You escaped the dragon sleeper and the liontamer and I was worried. I knew I only had one move left and I had to make it good so I did and I managed to get the three. But at any time it could have been different. If you had hit that shooting star press just a foot farther away I wouldn’t have grabbed the ropes and you would have won. I wanted to get on as a singles wrestler so we broke up our team but tonight I’m not so sure I made the right choice. I may be the champ but together we could be the best tag team champions the SMWA has ever seen and that’s saying quite a bit.”

Voice: “Shut the hell up!”

Elix Skipper walks out from the back with a mic in hand.

Skipper: “This is real cute stuff right here. You two standing in the ring wasting everybody’s time making friendly. Nobody cares about this. Halo you are the SMWA Champion and I want that belt around my waist. Too long I’ve been fighting for a title shot and haven’t gotten won. I want you next month and I’m going to show you what a true champion fights like.”

Halo: “If you want a shot at the belt Skipper that’s fine with me. I’m not afraid of you or anybody in the back. If you deserve a title shot then you can have one. I’ll go one on one with anybody in the SMWA or the world. This belt is mine for as long as I can keep it around my waist and I’m not afraid of losing it.”

Skipper: “That’s good that you’re not afraid. I’ll go make sure I get a shot next month and then we’ll see who walks out with the belt. Let me say that I’m not putting my money on you retaining the belt.”

Skipper drops the mic and starts walking towards the ring and Halo and Spade both move towards the side of the ring facing him. Unfortunately for them Ricky Reyes, B-Boy and Puma come through the crowd and slide into the ring behind them and start beating them down. Suddenly Joel Gertner comes out from backstage and takes the mic.

Gertner: “Excuse me. Johnny Spade is a member of the Gertner Associates and when you mess with one member of the Gertner Associates you mess with all of us. Skipper, you and your gang of losers have three seconds to leave the ring peacefully. One, Two Three! Fine have it your way.”

On cue Brandon Thomaselli and the Backseat Boyz come out from backstage with chairs and slide into the ring as Prime Time scatters out of the ring and walks to the back. Halo and Spade are helped to their feet and Skipper backs out of the arena signaling for the belt around his waist.

OA: 62

Guppie: “What a despicable display by Prime Time. Elix Skipper is not afraid to take advantage of any trick in the book.”

Patterson: “No he isn’t. After this attack, Halo is going to be clamoring for a match against Skipper playing right into him.”

Guppie: “Skipper may get more than he is bargaining for by pissing Halo off and it could cost him.”

Patterson: “For Brian Guppie, I’m Mike Patterson. Thanks for watching SMWA Rage. Check out smwawrestling.com for info on upcoming shows.”

I posted a show on time, it's amazing.

The Backseat Boyz defend the titles against the newest version of the Hart Foundation. The Hart Foundation is looking to surprise everybody with a big victory to win the belts but the Backseat Boyz aren’t ready to lose the belts in their first title defense.

Scott Lost ©vs. Jack Evans (SMWA Premier Title)

Jack Evans returns to the SMWA and he takes on Scott Lost for the Premier Title. Evans will pit his high flying ability against the technical ability of the champion who wants to keep the belt around his waist.

I haven't replied in a while but I must say this is definately one of the best diaries currently running on the board. Awesome writing; matches and promo's (Which have come on a lot from the start). Everybody has a character, which you define well. And I just really dig it. Needs more N8 Mattson though :( It's amazing reading through t see the growth of the fed, and the growth of characters and who is still around (The likes of Halo). The fact you have a TV deal means the storylines appear to be deeper and have more to them going into the 'big show' matches. However I'm not really digging the TV shows. I don't know why, I feel they just disrupt the flow and the whole indy feel. I guess it is just me taking time to get used to them. Keep up the good work and keep this diary going. I promise to reply more in the future. My promises are normally broken so don't believe me.

Segment 2: Backseats Back

The Backseat Boyz come out through the entrance and the crowd starts cheering them. They walk down to the ring with the belts around their waist and slide in. Acid pops up to his feet and takes the mic.

Acid: “We’ve been talking about being the best tag team in the world but now we have the belts to prove it. We beat the team of Puma and Ricky Reyes. A team that many of you fans were starting to think were unbeatable. To get a shot at the belts we beat KENTA and Marafuji who are considered the best junior heavyweight tag team in Japan. We have beaten the top teams of the SMWA and the world and we earned these belts around our waist. Tonight we make a title defense against Teddy Hart and Azrieal. These two guys did fine in the tournament for the Premier Title but they aren’t a tag team and they don’t stand a chance against the two of us.”

Kashmere takes the mic from Acid.

Kashmere: “You are absolutely correct Trent. Tonight we are going to give you fans a showing of what tag team wrestling is all about. It’s not throwing two good singles wrestlers together it’s two guys who work together to accomplish a goal. Trent and I have worked together for a long time and we know what to do to get the win. We know what the other wants us to do and that’s not something you can fake. The true teams have it and the wannabes don’t. Tonight we’re going to show these two wannabes the price for faking it.”

Summertime Blues Card

www.smwawrestling.com

August 13, 2008

It’s time for our monthly show and it takes place in Grand Rapids. We have a big show lined up with some debuts on the show. We have three title matches and this should be an exciting show.

Halo ©vs. Elix Skipper (SMWA Championship)

Elix Skipper has earned his way to this title shot but he may have been injured on the path to this shot. However he seems determined to end Halo’s long title reign.

Johnny Spade vs. Puma

The Gertner Associates and Prime Time face off in this match. These two men have been impressing the fans and only one of them will be able to take home a victory.

Backseat Boyz ©vs. Teddy Hart & Jack Evans (SMWA Tag Team Championship)

The Backseat Boyz take on a different version of the Hart Foundation in this defense. Hart and Evans looked impressive in their six man tag against the X-Foundation and earned this shot at the belts. The Backseat Boyz aren’t pushovers though and have proven that by defeating the Havana Pitbulls and the team of BJ Whitmer and Dan Maff.

Scott Lost ©vs. Azrieal (SMWA Premier Title)

Scott Lost beat Azrieal to get into the finals for the Premier Title and now Azrieal gets a shot at the belt and against Scott Lost. This is the fourth match between the two and Lost holds the advantage 2-1.

Excalibur & ??? vs. Essa Rios & Ricky Marvin

Essa Rios and Ricky Marvin make their SMWA debut as they take on Excalibur and a mystery partner. Excalibur hasn’t revealed who he is bringing with him but he says that he already has a tag team partner and that his partner is going to rock the SMWA ring.

BJ Whitmer vs. Brandon Thomaselli

BJ Whitmer takes on the up-and-comer Brandon Thomaselli in the opening match of the night. A win for Thomaselli could really impress the management but Whitmer is one of the toughest guys on the indy scene and it won’t be an easy match for Thomaselli.

The show takes place on Augsut 16 in Grand Rapids. Tickets are just $15 or $25 for ringside seats. Come check out the great action of the SWMA!

To be honest I’m surprised he was willing to team up with me as well. This is a man who has accomplished much in the wrestling business. He is a star in Japan and America. He was a former MLW Champion, He has held the IWPG Triple Crown Championship and the IWGP Tag Team Championships. He is none other than Satoshi Kojima!”

Excalibur: “Satoshi actually contacted me to be my partner. He has been working in Japan a lot recently and he wants to make his return to action in the United States and he wanted to take the opportunity to be my partner as he returned to the United States. Some of you fans may not know who Satoshi is but after tonight you will not forget his name. Tonight you will see why he has earned so many titles and why he will earn more gold in the future.”

OA: 70

Guppie: “Satoshi Kojima is making his debut in this tag team match along with Rios and Marvin. This is going to be a treat for the fans.”

Rage Episode #12 (SMWA Gym, Detroit)

August 20, 2008

Announcer: Brian Guppie

Color Commentator: Mike Patterson

Guppie: “Welcome to SMWA Rage. We are one night removed from Summertime Blues where Elix Skipper won the SMWA Championship. I’m Brian Guppie and as always I’m joined by Mike Patters on commentary.”

Patterson: “Skipper defeated Halo in an incredible main event and we’ll here from the champ later in the show.”

Guppie: “That’s right. We are going to start the show off with a promo from Teddy Hart and then we’ll have the first match of the night.”

Segment 1: Hart, Down but not Out

Teddy Hart is sitting in the locker room with Alicia Webb, Azrieal and Jack Evans.

Hart: “Last night was not a good one for the Hart Foundation. Azrieal looked good against Scott Lost but couldn’t win the Premier Title. Jack and I took the Backseat Boyz to the limit but we couldn’t take them over the edge and take the tag team titles from them. This isn’t going to stop us though. Last night was a set back but we aren’t going to give up that easily. The Hart Foundation will win gold in the SMWA. The Backseat Boyz better stay on the top of their game because Jack and I are going to get another shot at the titles and we will not fall short next time. Azrieal is going to stay in the hunt for the Premier Title as well. The Hart Foundation contains the best new wrestlers in the business and we will not be held down!”

OA: 80

Guppie: “Teddy Hart sounds very confident about his abilities. We’ll get too see Azrieal in action in our first match which is a four way match that also includes Joey Ryan, Black Tiger four and Brandon Thomaselli.”

Patterson: “This is an elimination match and all of these guys are great wrestlers. I can’t wait to see what happens.”

The Exile? Rage Card

www.smwawrestling.com

August 22, 2008

SMWA officials have no idea who the Exile is. They also have no idea how he managed to get access to the speaker system and broadcast his announcement. Elix Skipper complained loudly to management about losing his promo time but nothing could be done about it. Officials are investigating the incident though.

This Sunday we present another great edition of SMWA Rage and you can attend the tv taping for just $5.

B-Boy vs. Johnny Spade

Spade takes on the Prime Time enforcer in our main event. Spade is looking to get some revenge for Halo who lost the SMWA Championship to Prime Time leader Elix Skipper at Summertime Blues. This should be an exciting match.

Teddy Hart vs. Petey Williams

Teddy Hart gets a chance to prove that he is as good as he says he is when he takes on Petey Williams. Williams has been destroying everybody who gets in his way lately and a win over him could really show the fans what Teddy Hart is all about but he may not be able to stop Williams.

Brandon Thomaselli vs. Jack Evans

Thomaselli takes on former SMWA Champion, Jack Evans to start off the show. Both of these men are looking for a win here.

Come down to the SMWA Gym in Detroit for some great wrestling action!

The diary is going to go on hiatus for a bit. My laptops power cord crapped out on me and I won't be able to use it until I can get a replacement from Dell. They say shipping takes 1-2 weeks so hopefully it will be about that time. After that I start the fall semester of college though so updates will probably slow down but this diary is still alive.

I'll take this time to reply to YI's feedback.

I don't really care for the promotion having a tv show either but as a writer it makes it much easier. I can get them up faster than building two major shows a month plus it does let me build storylines. Which is very useful.

N8 Mattson was signed away by some new promotion that opened up in the game as well as Vito Thomaselli and some other guys that were main eventing for the first three years which required me to rebuild. Fucking other promotions.

Every day I was training to be a wrestler. I was born and bred for this business, Petey. I’m sure you had some tough trainers but they were nothing compared to the people who trained me. Petey is going to feel all of my training in this ring here tonight. I am part of the Hart dynasty and it is a dynasty that will continue to grow with my exploits. Guppie: “Johnny Spade takes a victory in a brutal match against B-Boy! Spade was bleeding almost the entire match but he kept on fighting.”

Patterson: “B-Boy made a big mistake when he made the cover after the shining wizard and it cost him the match. Those two put on a spectacle of violence in our main event.”

Guppie: “That’s all the action we have for you fans tonight thanks for tuning in. Be sure to check out smwawrestling.com for info on future shows.”

Patterson: “For Brian Guppie, I’m Mike Patterson be sure to tune in next week for more great action.”

Patterson: “Both men took a lot of risks in that match and Evans managed to capitalize on a chance to get the win.”

Guppie: “Our next match should be a great one as Petey Williams takes on NJPW star Black Tiger IV.”

Patterson: “These guys both use a lot of technical wrestling. However Williams also mixes in a junior heavyweight style while Tiger adds in lucha and puro influences to his style. Both of these guys are dangerous in the ring.”

Segment 2: Looking for Gold

Petey Williams comes out from backstage to cheers from the crowd. He walks down and slides into the ring then takes the mic from the announcer.

Williams: “I’ve been a champion here before and I guarantee that I am going to be a champion again. Elix Skipper helped kick me out of Prime Time and I haven’t forgotten nor forgiven him. I took on Michael Shane and beat him. I battled against B-Boy and proved that I am the tougher of the two and the man who lead our team. I fought Puma to a time limit draw and I will fight him again to prove that I am better. I will fight everybody in Prime Time and prove that I am a better wrestler than any of them could hope to be. Elix you have that belt now but I am coming for you and when I do that belt will be leaving around my waist. Tonight I take on Black Tiger. Tiger you are a good wrestler but I’m on a mission and you aren’t going to stop me. You are going to be taking a quick ride on the Canadian Destroyer and I am going to put you down for the three count. Tonight I start my run for the gold!”

Guppie: “What a match between those two men. Black Tiger did a number on the arm of Williams but he refused to give up and scored with the Canadian Destroyer to get the win.”

Patterson: “Williams did some damage to the neck before hitting the Destroyer but that move is so devastating that he doesn’t have to. It’s a guaranteed win once he hits that move.”

Guppie: “We have a Halo and Johnny Spade in the back with comments on the main event before we go to commercial break.”

Segment 4: Together Again

Joel Gertner is backstage flanked by Halo and Johnny Spade.

Gertner: “What you fans see here is the greatest tag team in the SMWA to never hold the titles. These guys stood up to the team of Angeldust and Deranged who dominated the beginning of the reign. These two men put their bodies on the line and took chances to win the belt but never did it. However they blended perfectly as a team. Tonight they team up for something more important than belts. They are teaming up for revenge. Elix Skipper, you disrespected Halo and earned the ire of Johnny Spade and the rest of the Gertner Associates. You won the belt from Halo with your feet on the ropes and tonight you are going to feel his wrath. You have picked a fight you can’t win, Elix. Tonight you will learn just how painful of a mistake you have made. Tonight, you have reunited these two men as a team. If you thought they were dangerous as individuals you can’t begin to understand how dangerous they are as a tag team. Tonight, Elix, is the beginning of the end of your title reign.”

OA: 73

Guppie: “We’re back from commercial break and Joel Gertner had some strong words for Elix Skipper.”

Patterson: “This is going to be a great match between these two teams. Match is probably the wrong word. This is going to be a battle. Halo wants to prove that he’s better than Skipper and deserves to have the belt around his waist again.”

Guppie: “If he can put Skipper down that’s going to be a good start. Halo will be getting a rematch sometime and holding a victory over Skipper is going to be a psychological boost.”

Patterson: “However, Skipper isn’t going to be a pushover. Plus he has B-Boy with him who is a tough sob. This is going to be amazing.”

Segment 5: Halo & Johnny Spade vs. Elix Skipper & B-Boy

Guppie: “Halo gets a measure of revenge over Elix Skipper in a hard fought tag team match that went all over the building.”

Patterson: “The match started wild and when it came back into the ring it just got more intense. Spade took a brutal beating but managed to make the tag to Halo who came in with all guns blazing to take the victory.”

Guppie: “What a great way to end the show. Be sure to tune in next week.”

Patterson: “For Brian Guppie, I’m Mike Patterson, thanks for watching. Check out smwawrestling.com for information on future shows.”

It could be a while before my next show. I'm moving into my dorm tomorrow and I don't know how long it will take me to get everything set up. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long to get my shit together. Classes start Mondy though and that will definitely start slowing stuff down.

The Challenger, The Exile and Rage Card

www.smwawrestling.com

September 4, 2008

Petey Williams has been named as the number one contender to the SMWA Championship belt and will face Elix Skipper at our next big show, It’s Prime Time on September 13 in Kalamazoo. Williams has put together a string of impressive victories lately and those efforts have garnered him a shot at the belt. Before he gets the shot Petey Williams will face Puma another Prime Time member.

SMWA officials have no idea how The Exile managed to gain access to the SMWA website and post his message last week. We are still trying to discover the identity of The Exile and we hope to have an answer soon.

The next taping for Rage takes place on September 7 at the SMWA gym. We have another big show lined up with the following card.

Puma vs. Petey Williams

Puma plays the policeman for Elix Skipper as he looks to make Williams’ quest for the gold a little more difficult. The last time these two men met they went to a 15 minute draw. This time they have 30 minutes to settle their differences in the ring.

Chad Collyer vs. Arik Cannon

These two technical masters face off in what should be a display of what wrestling is all about.

Essa Rios & Ricky Marvin vs. SAT

We start the show off with a tag team dose of lucha libre. The new team of Marvin and Rios take on the established SAT and try to prove if they can work together against a well oiled machine.

Come down to the SMWA Gym in Detroit and check out the show for just $5!
